They gave me red beans and rice in place of the sweet potatoes and forgot the riblet. I had to return to the counter to inform they forgot the riblet. I said nothing of the red beans and rice, deciding to try them since I have gotten the sweet potatoes as a side in my two prior visits. The chicken has been better. It wasn't as juicy as before but wasn't as dry as the wood-like riblet. Also, the restaurant charges 75 cents for tea refills. Worse, the order ticket showed $20 for my order, which I paid for by debit card. I paid cash for the one tea refill. However, my bank notification showed they submitted a $20.50 debit. Maybe this was for a surcharge they didn't tell me about beforehand. Based on this experience it appears Chatman's has lost its way.

I don't want to get too descriptive but it looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in awhile. The ambiance in the place is dark and mundane, looks like the place itself used to be something else before it became a restaurant. It doesn't make you want to sit and eat in there. Other than that, I'm on the fence if I would return back just due to the cleanliness and aesthetics overall. They would need to clean the place up in my opinion.
