What I didn't like about happy feet was that their regular massage really just felt like someone was rubbing oil on you. There was no pressure and when you asked for some, it was mediocre at best. I'm not a deep tissue gal, but I do want to have my knots worked out. I searched multiple times for a place that was clean, affordable, and had people who were capable. For $65 you get the massage that you want. I like how clean it is inside, although sometimes on a hot day, they don't turn the AC down until a customer is there. I always request Eric, who is patient and listens to my needs. Often times I need my shoulders worked on quite a bit because of my poor posture and constant standing at work. He delivers the pressure without me asking. He can recognize the areas that are tense and need working on which I really appreciate and feel a therapist should know. Another thing I appreciate is that they have a loyalty card and a lot of other places don't. They do require tips to be in cash which I didn't realize until my most recent visit.

There wasn't a special and you pretty much pay by the minute. I booked a 90 minute massage a week prior, the day of the appointment the lady looked confused and said I didn't need to book an appointment. There is also a water cooler with cups available. Staff: We were greeted right away by a friendly and polite staff member, who gave us clipboards for the intake forms. Massage: I personally had a great experience. My massage therapist, Mel, was skilled and checked in with me a few times during the session. I had requested focus on my back, and she did a thorough job. I especially enjoyed the head massage portion and wished it had lasted longer. Next time, I may try the 90-minute session. The only slightly uncomfortable part for me was the stretching, but that is more due to my lack of flexibility. I do think it was beneficial, so I would keep it in a future session. Client #2 (first massage ever) said she really enjoyed her experience. Client #3 felt there was not enough pressure overall and was a bit disappointed. Overall, I would likely return and request Mel again, as I had a very positive experience with her.

We've become obsessed (as financially feasible as we can get at least) with thai massages since visiting Thailand in 2023. Let's just say that we enjoy Northern Thai as much as some of the massages we've had in Thailand. There are 4 options for massages - Thai massage which is stretching + massaging with no oil, Swedish which is a relaxing oil massage, Thai-Swedish a mix of the two, and Swedish deep tissue with oil and lots of elbow/forearm for pressure. At this point, I've had them all and highly recommend for starters the combination Thai-Swedish which is a nice mixture of assisted stretching into yoga-like poses with relaxing kneading/gliding of Swedish massage. The masseuses, though tiny in stature, pack a lot of strength and are able to expertly navigate the tight spots that need the most attention. One nice bonus is that they also have heated massage table pads which felt extremely nice during this cold winter afternoon. Be sure to call ahead for an appointment. I've hardly had issues getting a same day appointment. The only negative about Northern Thai is that they have noisy barber shop neighbors, so I recommend ear buds or plugs so that you can really enjoy the massage in peace.
