Shortly before Covid pandemic, I paid my first visit to Quality Massage Therapy when it first opened. Then I soon became a loyal client of this lovely store. Not only is the shop chic, but also the therapists are super professional and friendly. I still remember my first time in this store. I had a hoarse throat so I wasn't able to talk at all to describe my situation verbally. However, the therapist soon noticed where I needed help from her massage. Over the years, I had massages from every massage therapist at Quality Massage Therapy. None of them has ever disappointed me. I came for a shoulder and neck pain. I told the front desk the reason for my visit. When I was on the table a nice lady came in started working on my arms and hand. She spend so much time on both arms and hand's probably half and hour or more. She worked on my shoulders probably 5 minutes on both side then went back massaging my arms and hands again. I had no problem with my arms and hands, I came in with a shoulder and neck pain. I got out with the same problem. This place wasn't too bad. The gentleman that helped us was extremely nice, professional, and helpful. I got a couples massage with my wife. She enjoyed it. My massage was ok. I'm not sure if they are licensed masseuses or not. I asked the woman that massaged me to focus on and around my left knee. She spent a lot of time on the knee, but I'm not too sure if she knows about muscle anatomy or not. Her focus was mostly on my patella and under it, but not so much the surrounding muscles. The end result was ingrown hairs and irritation around where she spent her time. Even now, 3 weeks later, it's finally almost healed. I want to stress this was not staph or anything like that, so don't assume this place isn't sanitary. It's quite the opposite. The facility is very very clean and relaxing. I'm pretty certain the irritation on my knee was from the masseuse spending a lot of time on one area with oil. I had a whole-body session for 60 min with Lan. Upfront, she is a strong masseuse. I didn't expect her (given her body habitus) to have such a powerful grip on scalp. I was lied on my stomach on the massage table with my head facing down through the . I had to tell her to be more gentle on head muscles (i.e. frontotemporalis), but when she switched to neck and around the spine (i.e. paravertebral) muscles, her robust grip showed itself. On back, she started with a longitudinal effleurage from base of the skull down to the tailbone (i.e. coccyx) back and forth to prepare it for the further forceful strikes. One of the great points about her massage was her warm hands through the whole time. Her hand maneuver was ok on sacroiliac (SI) joints of the lower, but I think most of us need more focus on our SI joints because of prolonged imposed pressure while standing (mainly due to bad posture). I'm still on my back, she kept going down and did an amazing job "pinching" the glutes with an optimal finger pressure which was the turning point of the session. You feel the pressure gone away after the session is over. I liked her approach to back muscles of the leg (i.e. hamstrings), she made them warm and using oil made the skin to skin friction less (which is favorable for dried skins) and then started pressing against the muscles and some petrissage. She repeated the same approach on calves muscles which felt good. At. the same time, her fingers strike caressed the sole of the foot with a warm oil which can release your emotions but it was not long enough. Lan turned to concentrate on the soles and used her strong grip to put pressure on the mount of the foot which was painful. On my back, her facial was little painful on the brows, she massaged front legs and calves which was NOT relaxing. Lan performance cons: The neck height was a little high (they need to adjust it for each individual and make sure the client feels comfortable and confident through the therapy), too much pressure during the facial massage without emphasizing on the delicate facial skin or pressure points, no good handling of the neck muscles and trapezius (which I emphasized on it prior to the session), hot stones were too boiling and were not tolerable, no petrissage on the paravertebral muscles, NO attention to deeper tissues, the clock fell down during the session and made noise, I think they should choose a better ambient music (though it was ok) Lan performance pros: Strong hands, warms up the body, takes her time with nice strikes on scalp, takes her time and focuses on the bulky muscles, pinching the glutes very well, effleurage of the paravertebral felt excellent, brilliant relaxing effleurage of the leg hamstrings, very relaxing massage on sole of the feet Overall: Good (3.5/5) read more

I had a 30 minute deep tissue massage with hot stones at the end from sir master Lin and he was hands down probably top 3 I've ever had. He listened to the areas I explained were hurting and when he was done I felt like a brand new man. I tried calling to set up a time but got no answer.
