They will ask you if you are 'OK' this is when you say yes or no. Keep needs verbally simple. If something hurts say 'ouch' or move your hand so they know something is wrong. If you want special attention to an area tell them before you ly down by touching your arm [whatever] and say 'yes'. Don't go on and on with lots of words. I do massage so I understand that sometimes there is an etiquette that may or may be daunting to some. This place makes every aspect of getting a massage easy. When you walk in you fill out a paper with your name, what kind of massage you were looking for, how many minutes, what level of pressure, and how fast or slow you would like it. If the practitioners are busy, you sit and wait until they call your name. Otherwise they will take you straight to where you need to be. They have never asked to flip me onto my back, so most of the massage is solely done on the posterior side. If this is something that concerns you, you are allowed to speak up. After body they move you to a chair where they have a hot foot bath before beginning. I requested a medium touch when working on my legs and feet, and I felt that he was being a little too gentle, so I told him when he asked if it was OK. Again, if this is something that concerns you, you are allowed to speak up. Leg and foot massage was better than body in my opinion and their pricing is extremely competitive, especially compared to private studio massage. It is very quiet and relaxing and I definitely recommend this place, I will be back when I feel I need a little bit of self-care. read more

It was my first massage and first time going here. I expected my massage to go good and relaxing, I paid for a full body massage for $29 for 30 minutes. It felt rushed when no other customers were in there. It was too much pressure with the techniques and nothing about it was gentle, like I did not ask for a level 7. When it came to my arms, hands, and legs/feet, it was not balanced or done the same way. I don't recommend if it's your first massage or at all! When you give a massage, you should not stop abruptly and move onto a whole other segment of the body because it throws off the relaxation, which is what happened. At the end, I gave a $0 tip and the guy that did my massage kept asking me if I wanted to tip and started going off in another language to another co-worker, and nobody did anything especially while a female employee was sitting in a corner just watching. As I walked out, he was mad and threw a pencil off the table. Terrible customer service. I wish I could rate it a 0 star. read more

Got a full body (minus my injured knee) 90 minutes massage and I'm so grateful for Peng who is am amazing healing massage therapist. He kept up the deep pressure the full 90 minutes and would check on me to make sure I was good the whole time. He could feel exactly where I felt pain and was able to rub most of it out. I felt like dough in his hand being kneaded into the prefect artisans loaf. Definitely will be coming back. I actually like that I didn't get oiled up for the massage, everything was over a sheet with all my clothes on which is convenient and amazing. Where to begin! This used to be a part of my monthly self-care routine. I enjoyed coming to this place almost monthly. I had several different staff massage me, there was a female who was excellent but didn't see her there much after that. I had a terrible experience here the last time and I have not returned back there since. After a great massage, I was paying and realized that I left my cash in a different bag at home. I don't carry cash often. I did have $4 in cash and although I would've given him more if I had the cash, I didn't want to use my bank card for a few dollars. Mind you, I had been here before and had never had an issue, although I've never really been able to communicate with staff since they've never spoken to me in English other than to tell me to sit down. Which is not a problem. The issue is that when I gave him the $4 in cash, as I paid, I also apologized and explained that I didn't have any extra cash because I had left it in a different wallet. He took the $4, counted it, and started yelling at me by yelling, I mean he was very loud speaking in a different language, so I couldn't even understand what he was saying but I could tell by his body language, facial expression, and demeanor that he was angry. He even turned red! Once he was done, a few of his co-workers came to the register where he and I were at, and were attempting to calm him down and even stood between he and I. He was then able to clearly communicate that he did not want the $4 and wanted more than that and would not accept what I had. In the moment, I was in shock and didn't know what to respond or how to respond. There were other people there getting a massage staring at me and the situation and it was very uncomfortable and embarrassing. At the end of it, I asked him if he wanted the tip, that's all I had and would leave it, if not then I would take it with me. He communicated that they have a $5 tip minimum per massage, which I did not know since I usually would tip them more than $5, so perhaps that's why I hadn't had an issue prior. He grabbed the money from my hands and walked away, never said thank you or even acknowledged me after that. Needless to say, my relaxing 40 min massage, turned out to be horrible! And I have not returned here since then, it has been over a year since my last check-in here. I am always tempted to try other AAA locations but I'm worried about seeing him or having another terrible experience. Emotions aside, the massage was pretty good. But I won't compromise my comfort and safety just to save a few bucks on a massage. They've had a lot of turn around there and maybe he was having a bad day or there were other issues happening that I was not aware of but I won't justify the disrespect I experienced for a service I paid for. I'm not sure if he still works there or at any other AAA location. I do not plan to return. I'm not sure if it is their policy is that customers must tip minimum $5, I don't see this posted anywhere in the location or on here. Not sure if this is still their current policy but wanted to make the community aware in the event that they were planning to give them a shot! It took me a while to post this because the whole situation made me uncomfortable but after speaking with some friends who always try new massage places out, they encouraged me to share my experience in the hopes of helping to inform others. I've had some really good massages and some really OK massages. I definitely pop for the combo massage which is 30 minutes back and body massage face down on a table and then they move you to the foot area and then it's just another 30 minutes just on your feet now $46 in Feb 2022. Unfortunately the ratings that they use are a great idea but everybody interprets them differently but some people I need to tell them to go harder some people are super hard it's just kind of difficult to figure out what who's who and who does what. I have no idea if you can ask for a practitioner or not English does not seem to be really easy there. I do like that you can walk in and you'll be seen very quickly there's always a lot of people to help and to serve the clientele. However, one major drawback about this place: it is VERY very loud! The people that work there make no attempt to keep it quiet and the people that go there are just downright loud and rude. I've never gone to any place in Fresno that's so loud. All in all good fine massage but inconsistent in a loud place. read more

During the last 5-10 mins of my shoulder/back massage the guy( the one who had a minor cold he kept sneezing with the sniffles) purposely kept inappropriately rubbing his private area on my hands. Love this place! I was referred for PT and my Kaiser insurance doesn't cover massage. So this place did the trick. I got a very experienced masseuse and he used enough pressure to where I felt like it broke apart my tense muscles. This place is consistent snd they are always respectful and nice. I used to frequent this location before the pandemic and it was great! After being closed for a long time I recently went back for a 1 hour massage. The massage was mediocre, nothing to write home about. After the massage, I was given a slip to write my tip and total. I wrote in a $4 tip for a total of $50. When the man took the slip from me he started laughing and talking to the other workers and questioned my why I was only leaving a $4 tip. After several minutes of questioning he ran my card and gave himself an extra $2 for a total of $52 without my approval and threw my credit card at me. This review is for FOOT MASSAGE only. I've been to multiple places in town for foot massages and this is my favorite. Nice chairs, simple atmosphere, and most importantly, GREAT massage service. Three of us went in (myself, hubby, 22yr old daughter) and all three of us were quickly seated. We all asked for different levels of massage, heavy pressure for hubby, mid for me, light for daughter, and we were all very pleased with the massages. Thought I'd give this place another go... still hate it!! I went for a chair massage this time (40 minutes). I still say this place is a joke! It smells like feet, or a jock strap, or something along those lines. You have a very hard time communicating with them. The pressure scale is 1-7, I choose a 4... it felt like a 12!! I had to ask him to go lighter with the pressure & that only lasted about 10 minutes then he was back to super hard again. He had the sniffles and would remove one hand (to rub his nose, I assume) bc the sniffles would stop for a few minutes. He was constantly sighing and yawning too!! An awesome, inexpensive, fully clothed massage. A week later and I still feel great. The staff is friendly (they don't speak much English) and the entire experience was professional. I have had massages at high end hotels, doctor offices and by student masseuses and AAA is by far the best quality of massage. The only drawback is the noxious smell of dirty feet once I walked in the door. I would suggest some plug in deodorizers and to replace the carpet with wooden floors.
