I had 2 large portions of our tile roof repaired this summer by SLR Roofing. Levi and his great crew took very good care of us. My fear was one they opened it up it would turn into a nightmare. My involvement as the homeowner was limited to writing checks and a few short conversations about work details. Everything else, all logistics, including supervising the crew, pulling the permit, scheduling inspections and preparing paperwork to apply for the City of LA credit was handled by Lior, the company owner and by his secretary. Lior is a very nice, friendly, work and family dedicated person.  His crew members deserve credit for their hard and professional work during these very hot days. After 35 years of good service my roof needed replacement. It took me a few weeks to find a contractor who agreed to match my requirements, who's estimate was acceptable and who's reputation was excellent. I selected SLR Roofing and it was the right decision. After brief inspection of my roof Lior presented a written, detailed job description, and also proposed some changes and improvements. The cost was reasonable, we discussed details of the work. Some unexpected personal issues prevented me from signing the contract right away and I asked Lior to put my project on hold for a few weeks. After coming back to the project we met again to confirm the terms and to sign the contract. He kept the original price without ratcheting it up. Work was scheduled. The crew came promptly early in the morning and protected the affected area and plants around my house. They removed old roofing material and flashings. Damaged pieces of plywood were replaced as needed. New flashings were installed. All debris was removed. Next morning the initial inspection was performed, new materials delivered and distributed on the rooftop. The following day all new roofing was installed and all work finished. Area around the house was thoroughly cleaned and screened for nails with magnetic tool. The final inspection was conducted the very next morning. That's the organized way SLR Roofing works. No stars for this company. Terrible company! I canceled appointment for a quote at my fathers home when they tried to claim false requirements . Tried to say I needed an interpreter because my father is hard of hearing. Also wanted someone else at the appointment since my father could not go up onto the roof. Since when do you bring a customer onto the roof; especially an 80 year old customer? We already had 2 quotes and the other roofers had no issue communicating with my father and didn't try to bring him up onto the roof. I can only wonder what other tricks they would have tried to pull if we hired them. read more

This company is fantastic and Levi is amazing! I was helping my parents because they had a pretty significant leak in a big section of the roof on top the living room. We were immediately attracted to this company because of their great reviews and the fact that they were local. We called 3 other companies and not a single other company discussed the scope of the work they were about to complete as thoroughly as Levi did - as a matter of fact, one company didn't even provide a written estimate! Although their quote was slightly higher than the first company we called, we had significantly more confidence in Levi's assessment. He was incredibly thorough and is clearly experienced. Got my roof done 1 and 1/2 years ago but writing the review now, after 2 rain seasons. -Lior - Great guy. Good attitude, always picking up the call or return the call, reply to the text. He Visits the site quite often. -Price - Fair price. Competitive. -Work Done - Total roof replacement on house and garage (Removed old layers and apply totally new). Type = shingle. New gutter installation. -Workers - Hard working, on time. Got done with the whole thing in 5 days. -Cleanliness - Overall OK but could have been better. Little damage on few plants and grass, wall and floor but no major. They tried to fix as much as they can but I needed to point them to few thing. One of the reason for 4 and not 5 stars. -Aftermath/Problem - After the second rain season, roof started leaking and water started coming in the bedroom from ceiling. Called Lior and he came in and seal one of the exhaust, assuming that is the culprit. Which was not the case. After next rain it started leaking again. Called him again and he sent a guy who found that it's leaking from the AC Unit border which was not sealed properly. Guy did a great job and problem is now fixed. I still need to let it pass through more rains. Due to the leaks, my hardwood and light got damaged. I am still not being harsh and giving 4 stars as Lior fixed the leakage by sending his guy. -Recommended? - YES PS: I will update the review if there are still any problem during the warranty period. read more

Lior came out to inspect some water damage and deterioration under my eave and to the roof from where the gutter overflowed in the last rain and actually left a hole through the eave. Lior said I can patch it or not, and it won't cause any further damage and to just wait till I replace the whole roof in a couple years (which I plan to do for aesthetic purposes). Really appreciate this kind of honesty in a contractor - especially roofing. If you need work done, he'll do it, and if you don't, he'll be straight with you. And that's pretty rare these days. My neighbor recommended another company for the roofing and the owner of that company send Lior out to do the estimates. He quoted me for $6000 for a flat asphalt 600 square foot roof. When I asked him why he only charged my neighbor for $3500 2 years ago, he told me material and labor go up in price. So I told him material and labor go up more than 60% in 2 years, he then respond that he need to get a crane to get the roofing materials up to my house. I don't think he use the crane for my neighbor who lived in the same condo as mine. He may not try to fool someone else who know what they are doing. The funny thing is my neighbor recommended them so I definitely know how much they charge. The review is for bad estimates. I would not trust this guy for an honest estimate. read more
