We hired AAA Roofing Services to patch our roof and replace an old.skylight where it had leaked earlier, preparing for El Nino. It rained a few days ago, and the roof didn't leak! Jonathan and his helper did a great job. When they came over to give us the estimate, they showed us pictures of the things in that part of the roof that obviously were in need of repair, and after they fixed them, showed us pictures of their work. They fixed our leak in one day, and the price was very. reasonable. We were hinky about hiring roofers, having been burned by a dishonest company years ago when we had a leak in that same room, around the skylight. They said "we don't do patches, we'll only do a full new roof." We had to act fast, so we agreed to it, and bought a whole new roof that we probably didn't need. And in the next rainstorm, it still leaked! We called someone else to fix it. It was the skylight that had needed fixing all along. Our neighbor recommended AAA Roofing Services, as they had used them recently and were very happy with the results.So were we. Whoever came out to give me an estimate tried to drive onto my lawn to park. Didn't even go through with the estimate. If you don't have enough common sense to know that is not okay... He said he thought I said that was okay, so at any rate- poor communication skills. UPDATE: The business owner's response below is not an accurate description of what occurred. The truck was in fact being driven onto my lawn, which is why I told the driver to stop. I raised my voice at that moment to stop the moving vehicle. Once he exited the truck, I did not yell at him; we spoke at normal volume. I ultimately decided not to proceed with the estimate because I did not feel the communication was a good fit. Had appointment for estimate 1/21. Casey showed up on time and was professional and courteous. When he was done he said I would receive an estimate later today or tomorrow. I received the estimate with a complete scope of work. The next day I signed the contract and the office told me they would call me with some dates to schedule about 3 weeks out. To my surprise they called me that afternoon and said they had a crew that became available for the next day. They showed up on time, completed the job professionally and cleaned everything up. AAA Roofing Services has been maintaining my roof since 2020. So far, I have not had one leak. Recently, I noticed a crack on my skylight. My dual paned polycarbonate skylight was installed before we bought the house 7 years ago. Casey came to inspect it. Very good experience with AAA Roofing Services. Casey came out to inspect a roof leak that occurred during heavy rain. He spent time on the roof, showed me photos of the area he believed was causing the leak, and clearly explained what he found and the available repair options. We needed a roof repair and AAA Roofing was recommended by someone on NextDoor so we got a quote from them and two others. The AAA quote was in the middle and I just liked the completeness of the work that was written up on the estimate, so we went with them. They were able to start work within a week. In today's online world, finding a qualified, reliable, honest, friendly, helpful, and trust worthy roofing contractor is not an easy task. Today I found one of the best. I had the good luck to be referred to Lee Yosef and family owned AAA Roofing company. A few weeks ago, during an early winter storm I had the homeowners nightmare of a leaking roof. Being a 21st Century kind of guy Lee went directly to Google Earth and looked up my roof and was able to assess the situation....one that I had not considered....I have a roof full of solar panels. Oops I forgot about those. He advised me that I would need to have the section of the panels in the area of the leak removed so he could come out and troubleshoot the roof, find the leak and repair it. He knew I didn't need a new roof, he knew that I live in Venice Beach and his office is in Calabasas, and he knew it was coming up on a holiday weekend. Remember this is likely not going to be a huge job and the owner of the company saying that he will be coming himself. Nevertheless he put me on his schedule the Monday morning after the holiday. At this point his office manager and wife Anita took over. We texted back and forth frequently always keeping me in the loop. She helped me coordinate with my solar company so everything could be done at the same time. This is a family business and even though we had never met or done business before I felt a personal touch that is not usually the norm. Monday after the holiday weekend Lee arrives as scheduled, spends over an hour on my roof, and finds the source of the leak. He doesn't try to upsell me, or schedule one of his assistants to come back another day to repair what he found. He heads back down to his truck, grabs materials, goes back up to the roof, makes the needed repairs. I ask him if I can give him a check to pay for the work and he says something to the effect: "That's Ok, no charge." Now I'm not saying that Lee and AAA Roofing in Calabasas works for free, but for a company to go out of their way to help a homeowner make sure that a little problem does not turn into a big problem says more than I can adequately express. I called several roofers to quote replacing a flat roof with 3 sections at different levels on a 4300 sq ft home. Jonathan came out, evaluated the roof and explained how they would approach the project. We had a quote (at a very competitive price) the next day detailing materials, permits, inspections, warranty (transferable) and project timeline. They even monitored the weather forecast and advised us to reschedule out one week to avoid potential showers. Once the crew was onsite, the old roofing material was removed in only one day. I hired AAA Roofing Services to do a full re-roofing of my 2600 square foot one-story house. The existing roof was tile in good condition, but the underlayment was 26 years old and wanted to replace the underlayment before installing rooftop solar. I got two quotes from licensed roofers and both were about the same. I selected AAA because they had just completed a job for a friend just a mile away and I liked what I saw! Now that my roof is completed I have nothing but compliments for AAA Roofing. The office staff is efficient (Nicole, Anita) and the contracting process was handled efficiently by e-mail. Casey Howard was my job manager; he was always on-time and definitely knew his stuff about roofing materials and techniques. Adrian was my job foreman. Last winter exacerbated a leak in part of our roof that, in the past, had been patched several times, and now needed a "real" repair. AAA Roofing Service not only has the credentials and Yelp reviews to show their competence in roofing and now has given us unquestionable proof of that. I have a 99 year old home and while we already needed a new roof, the last few years of heavy rains and bad storms accelerated that need. I requested a few quotes and ultimately chose AAA. I recently fully reroofed my house and I'm so glad I went with AAA. My primary point of contact was Ryan and he was fantastic - incredibly responsive, knowledgable and passionate about his craft! Ryan knew that I was particularly nervous about a certain part of the roof, so he even made a second trip back out to the house to make sure that their proposed work would solve the problem and address my concerns. They weren't the cheapest, but also definitely not the most expensive - so the overall price was incredibly fair! The only frustrating thing was that I couldn't pay by credit card, but that's fine.
