Not the best environment for working given only one big community table and tables lining the side are quite small - front counter could work nicely, though. They do have a lovely outdoor seating area. My husband and I were able to hang out at the big table with our stroller, but not sure how it would have worked if that wasn't open as we would have blocked the path to the bathroom. They also did not have a bathroom changing table; a shame and main reason for my demerit. Staff was friendly, spot was clean, and I enjoyed the overall quirky personality of the shop and the fact they seem very community oriented. My husband had the spicy chai which was very tasty and a sausage burrito. I went with the cold brew which was tasty and quite potent - not for the caffeine sensitive! It's a unique concept that fits with the area. It's half bike shop and half cafe. I think I came on an off day or everyone was new. The line was out the door and it was slow moving. The place is small so everyone would order their drink and wait for it to be made making the place super crowded on a hot Saturday morning. They have minimal seating outdoors. The matcha latte was just okay. It was kind of bland and it was costly for the size it was. I've been to other coffee shops and you got more for your money. I've heard it's usually better than what we got that day so definitely an off day or overwhelmed by business. read more

I don't know if Denver is a big Yelp city but I come to this city enough to want to find the local coffee shops. Also today is my birthday (!) and I'm irked to start my morning like this. Closest coffee shop to my Airbnb was SloHi. I get out of bed, learn I have to be presentable in an hour to do an online training. NEED COFFEE asap. I walk in nobody at counter, people mulling around with recent coffee purchases, it looks like, so I hang out. I see someone with a bike sweatshirt - this coffee shop shares space with a bike shop - so I assume that is the barrista. But her back is to me while she talks with a woman in a white sweater. They are literally right beside the coffee bar. Woman with sweater is facing me discussing, I don't know, web pages, menus, I don't know something on a laptop screen. No one says, "just a sec." Nada. It seemed like a long time - granted when you are waiting like that it seems longer than it may be, however at some point I look in the bike shop and start looking for people who may know where the barrista went. I am about to tap bike sweatshirt girl on back when white sweater girl comes to counter and says, kid you not, "oh, I didn't see you there." Ballsy move when you're facing me, lady. I stare at her a second and she stares back. We know. Admittedly very friendly after that but I haven't seen this kind of customer service in awhile. So I come home and write this review. Discovered this gem on a recent trip to Denver. It was conveniently located by my Airbnb. After reading the other positive reviews, I was excited to try it out. Loved the overall vibe, service and coffee. I came in at 9am on a Friday, and it was quiet with a steady flow of customers. I wasn't sure what I wanted, but after talking with the barista I settled on a latte with almond milk. It's basic, but it's just what I wanted. I also ordered a ham and cheese croissant. Good coffee and tea selection but not somewhere I would come to meet a friend again. This is next door to a bike shop (shared space) so unless you can snag a seat outside there's nowhere to sit. It was a big awkward for this reason and we got out coffees to go. If you can grab a seat outside though it looked comfy. read more

Really disappointed in our experience here, especially given the previous good ratings. The iced coffee was just not good - really sour and watered down. The chorizo breakfast burrito was abysmal. Like genuinely worse than a frozen burrito you could get at the grocery store. It also had almost no chorizo. Which would be fine if it wasn't almost $10 - which I only know because I made a point to ask. There are no prices listed online or anywhere in the shop. The couple checking out in front of me asked to have certain items put back because the total was way higher than they expected, and I had to ask the cashier how much everything would cost. Super weird and felt kind of like they are trying to hide their prices from folks. Two stars here because the croissant was good and the cashier was at least nice, even if they also got my partner's coffee order wrong. read more

Currently serving customers with a walk up window, SloHi Coffee has found a way to attract more customers by offering Berkeley Donuts. I didn't even know this was happening until I saw their sign by the menus, and if you want to grab one make sure to go early! Service was super fast and friendly, and they're willing to help with recommendations for all their drinks and food options. I was just in the area to pick up some clothes across the street and couldn't resist stopping for coffee. Prices are what you'd expect in Denver for any coffee drink that isn't drip with oat milk ($4-6 range). I'll definitely come by again since they do have a more diverse tea drink selection than expected for a coffee shop for both hot, iced and tea latte varieties so I appreciated that. They also have a good selection of baked good and snacks to offer that would be good for enjoying on their patio or for a walk at Sloan's lake park. I'm excited to try more of their stuff! SloHi Coffee + Bike was a great spot to stop for some coffee before a walk at Sloan's Lake. I got my usual, chai tea latte, to see what this coffee shop was really made of. They asked if I wanted it classic or spicy. I went with classic because sometimes going spicy is just too ginger heavy for my liking. I wish I would have asked if I could do half and half because though the chai was good, it didn't really feel like a chai. I needed just a little spice to make it feel like a true chai! They were a little slow to get orders taken but once you ordered it came out pretty fast. read more

I got a growler of the Pablo cold brew coffee for $12 ($13.50 for kombucha), and refills are $7 (8.50 for kombucha). I can't wait to mix it with some Golden Chai when I get home. Deliciouso! Nice little coffee shop. I tried their toddy au lait, with cold brew steamed with milk. It was smoith and tasty. They seem to be careful, knowledgeable baristas. They also passed my test of offering ceramic migs for drinks to stay. (I have a thing about drinking a $4 coffee out of paper.) I'd return. read more

Yesss! Stopped in to grab a drink and get some work done while I was working from out of town. The service was great- baristas were nice and friendly and the drinks came out quickly as well. They have wifi and a good amount of seating for the amount of traffic they get, which was convenient. We came in mid-day on a Wednesday and had no issues finding a spot to sit with our laptops. Side note.. they carry Golden Root products and make a delicious Turmeric Latte! Highly recommend! I got mine with Almond Milk, which the barista told me is what they normally recommend anyways for that drink. If that wasn't enough, they ALSO carry Beet Box baked goods (vegan and so good). I came in twice during my trip to Denver and tried both an almond donut as well as an apple maple walnut donut. The almond was pretty solid- kind of like a slightly powdered donut with almond slivers all over it. The apple maple walnut was AMAZING. Very moist and flavorful with bits of apple in it. SloHi, you're slo cute! Part bike shop, part coffee shop, this spot is very Denver. Met someone here to talk over coffee and had a very pleasant experience. The shop is small--there's really only a few places to sit down and stay awhile, but we snagged two seats at the community table near the front door. I ordered a turmeric latte, which I was happily surprised to see on the menu! I'm somewhat of a turmeric pusher during the winter season, so this drink was a no brainer. This slightly spicy drink is made with almond milk and left me feeling warm and cozy!! While I didn't try their coffee, rumor has it their cold brew is awesome. Next time! There's a lot of construction going on surrounding SloHi--I have a feeling this is going to be a super hot new party of town soon. The shop is located right next to Hogshead Brewery, so you could essentially get a bike tune up, grab coffee, take a ride, and grab a beer all right here--sounds like an awesome summer day to me! read more

The Highlands and RiNo are quickly becoming my favorite spots throughout Denver. WHY? Both areas are FULL of unique, family owned shops, restaurants and breweries. Just a few of my favorite things :) Chelsey F and I met here before a 3 mile walk around Sloans lake and this place couldn't be cuter. Bike shop meets coffee shop, this place literally has it all! Because it was a whopping 70 degrees in Denver today, I opted for a cold brewed iced coffee, with a splash of cream, while Chelsey got an iced americano with carmel syrup. Both beverages were the perfect little size (12oz) and tasted delicious. My cold brew was a bit sour, but the cream helped even it out, while Chelsey's was just as yummy! Prices are on point ($7 for 2 coffee's) and staff is so friendly. What a cute little gem in my new favorite neighborhood :) read more

If wish I could give this shop 10 stars and a hug - I purchased a bike from them recently and unfortunately someone forced entry into my building and stole my new bike after only one ride. I stopped in to just get any advice from them and Adam (I believe he's a manager there) made things right - I didn't ask for anything but he jumped right to what he is able to do to help me while sharing his stories of similar experiences. Located next door to hogshead brewery, this little coffee shop is a great addition to the Sloans Lake area. The drinks: this place has a great selection of coffee and non coffee drinks. They serve novo coffee 3 ways: drip, pour over and espresso. Even better, they make cortados, my newish obsession. They have a wide variety of extras to go with the coffee as well: almond milk, syrups, and soy. This place shines even more with it's selection of drinks on tap that include kombucha from happy leave kombucha, chai lattes from third street chai, and cold brew novo coffee. The atmosphere: it's a small space with a great vibe. There is a bay door that opens toward hogs head brewery, letting in fresh air. It's a bright and sunny space. There is plenty of bar seating. This is an easy place to stay awhile. The food: Prepared sandwiches and bakery items are delivered daily from the bakery Share Good Foods. I had a sandwich and it was good. Other items include Noosa yogurt, oat bars, and chocolate bars. Overall: This is my new favorite local coffee shop (goodbye Starbucks on Sheridan). And I truly believe they'll do well. Rarely do I throw out a drink with caffeine in it but had to yesterday thanks to the worst dirty chai I've ever had. I love a little extra spice along with some added caffeine but it was barely drinkable and felt more like a blended Indian meal gone wrong. I wish I would have tried it when I stopped in because then I could have gotten something else. Waste of $4, stick to the coffee at this place, they have some right on reviews it seems. But stay away from the chai......bad chai....mess you up! On a happier note the baristas were friendly and they share a parking lot with the brewery next door. read more

I want to give them four stars, but I can't quite. Cons: My mocha was way too sweet. Wifi was a little slow (15mbps down, 4mbps up - I was the only one there). They close at 4, which is a lousy time for us coffee shop workers. There was almost no outlets for charging, and a lot the seating isn't very laptop friendly. Pros: big door opens on nice days. This in an update to my visit 6 months ago. This time I brought my son. I told him how I come here every time I come to Denver. I had my, what has become my "usual" and he had a Kabucha. First time visiting Denver with my sister and friend and we stopped on our first morning for coffee. We loved the coffee so much we came back each morning we were in town! The staff are super friendly and we love that they're still requiring masks inside and for staff unlike a lot of places around town. If I ever come back to the city, I'll be stopping by once again! It's a bike shop! It's a coffee shop! It's....both! We've been visiting this shop for coffee and bike type stuff for about a year now. Everyone who works here is friendly and knowledgeable. We purchased a Yuba cargo bike from their City Park location last spring, and when there was a small problem with the bike a few weeks later, they fixed it. Right away. No issues or questions. I don't ride the Yuba - I have an ancient piece of crap Schwinn. And you know what? They've helped me tweak this and fix that and tune her up so that she's my ride-or-die instead of just my die. And no judgement on me for not getting a nicer bike, although I probably should. Their coffee is also tasty, and they have some nice nosh in there too. They're really family-friendly and are happy to make recommendations based on your needs and budget. read more

This is the ideal coffee shop for someone like me. I love good coffee, good pastries, a relaxed environment with indoor and outdoor seating, free wifi, and cool people working behind the counter. SloHi hits it out of the park on every account. The coffee is delicious (NOVO) and they even have cold brew, kambucha, and other refreshing coffee-type beverages on tap! Something I will definitely try on my next visit. This round I went for a straight Americano and a Bran Muffin. Nice and simple, and quite delicious. They clearly select their pastry vendors carefully and get the best snacks to pair with their carefully crafted caffeinated creations. Sitting at the bar I had a chance to learn a little more about the place, how it came to be, and how they're working to develop this whole block. Definitely exciting for me as I only have to travel a few blocks to grab some coffee, slide next door to Hogshead for a beer after work, and even hit up the convenience store on the corner if I need some convenience. I love stopping by here on walks with my pup. Everyone has always been super friendly. I love their iced spicy chai with almond milk on warmer days. Recently felt like branching out and ordered a 'slohi toddy' and it will be my new go-to hot drink! It was described to me as basically a latte but with steamed cold brew. I freaking love the coffee and the food here so why the 4 stars instead of 5 stars? I spotted a tasty looking muffin in the display case and asked "Does that muffin have almonds in it? I'm allergic and just want to be sure." The girl looks over and says "That one doesn't." So I take it and my coffee and hustle off to work. I'm seated at my desk with my wonderful coffee and my delicious smelling muffin and I am excited! I have the odd habit of breaking open my food before eating it, I like small bites. I crack into my muffin and it is full of delicious, deadly almonds. I suppose it wasn't a total bust because my coworker wanted it and loved it. Here's my gripe: if I ask it there are almonds there's a reason I'm asking. Check the ingredients list if you aren't sure. I know you have an ingredients list because other baristas have referred to it when I have asked questions in the past. If I had just bit into it, well that would have been a disaster. read more

I really want to like this place. People are friendly, the shop is cute and it's a nice place to fuel up for a bike ride... as long as you don't enjoy or don't want to enjoy the actual coffee. It's bad. Like super bad. Like, I prefer 7-11 coffee to this coffee shop's coffee bad. I drink my coffee black and prefer dark roasts. Both my experiences with that here have been burnt and served stupid hot out of the carafe or air pot or whatever it's called. There's legitimately a bike shop attached to it so you might even see your barista fighting his way through a bunch of handlebars to make it to the counter.
