We have been busy in our home and work, decided to stop by and grab something for dinner - we have not been to Slim Chickens in a while, so to our surprise they are part of the shrinkflation - wow - First you have to ask for the family packs or you will be overpriced for the single serve meal packs, not to say you won't be Way Overpriced for the family meal packs. We ordered 16 piece chicken strips with 2 large sides - The Chicken Strips have shrunk tremendously in size - I should have caught the hint when I asked the lady - The chicken strips are still large, right - answer "Pretty Much" she should have just said "No they are not" the size on these would barely feed a family of young children. 2 Large Sides - well I can say they came in a Large Container - BARELY half way full - the sides was their potato salad and mac and cheese - both barely half way full - so I had a tablespoon, my husband had 2 tablespoons and our son had 2 tablespoons- so now you can put the amount in perspective. And the chicken doesn't taste the same - something is missing in all their flavors. All of this cost approximately $41 - I explained to my husband that I can't exactly remember why we stopped going to Slim Chickens but this experience has sealed the deal of a never return to the business. If you really look at their prices and what you get - I sure hope you are not very hungry - because you will leave wanting something else. Also to all of this area - how many freaking chicken places can one place have - and with so many Slim Chickens can not make the adjustment to compete - they need to go back to their old ways and bring back their original ways. read more

Love Slim Chickens and try to eat there (or Braum's) whenever we're passing through Weatherford! Service is always super fast and very friendly although it's usually much better than typical fast food! Every kind of fried chicken item I've had has been perfectly crispy on the outside (never soggy) but tender and juicy on the inside (same for the fries)! I like the Cayenne Ranch Chicken sandwich but the salads are also great and the wraps are pretty good too! They have a nice selection of drinks including peach, raspberry, sweet and unsweet teas! They have a couple decent size TVs inside with cool guitars on the walls and a nice patio if the weather is nice! read more

Slim chickens is yummy! I was very pleasantly surprised as I haven't heard much about it. The chicken was juicy and deliciously seasoned. The amount of sauces you can choose from is amazing and everyone we had was delicious. They have some cool things on their menu that were unexpected like fried mushrooms! Every single time we come here all of the tables are dirty, and windows. We have to clean a table to sit at literally every time we come in. Currently there are only 4 tables, no line and all of the open tables are dirty. read more

Charged for extra sauce and did not receive it. Fries were old and stale but I was like at least the chicken will be good but nope, touched it and it was cold too. I used to work at Slim's and try to be a steady customer compared to Canes but Canes is always fresh and this specific location is always giving out old food. Throw it out if it's old and make new batches. read more

If you like a run or a traditional sauce you are in for a real delight! Hot scale from mild to inferno mixed with some creative concoctions in between. Dunk. Dip. Drink!?!? I have always really enjoyed this restaurant in my favorite thing to get is the grilled chicken slim salad with extra fried onions. Tonight I was disappointed though when I pay the same price, I always do and got about less than half the salad that I usually do. I also got the chocolate brownie jar and that price has gone up to seven dollars but the jar got smaller. If you're going to make things smaller take the price down as well. I will not go back even though I like it so much because I can't afford to pay $17 for a teeny tiny salad and a little jar dessert. I am going to miss getting the salad because it's my favorite and nobody else makes salads with fried onions in them. Let me know if things go back to normal. read more

We went to this restaurant for dinner tonight. We used the drive thru so I can't really evaluate the cleanliness of the inside. The outside was very clean and in good shape. The young lady who took our order was very nice, easy to understand and answered all of our questions. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. I've driven by several of these around the metro area but never stopped for some reason or another. I was in Weatherford and my Coworker wanted fast and easy and he suggested them. So you can tell from the name they do chicken but to my pleasant surprise their specialty is chicken and waffles. It's like dessert for lunch and hard to pass up. The waffle was light and fluffy and the chicken was nicely breaded. It also came out pretty quickly but not so quickly you could assume that they had everything pre-made. It took about the time you expect a waffle to cook fresh and the chicken was hot like it had just been cooked not sitting under a lamp or anything. We also doubled down and ordered the fried pickles and they were a real treat. Once again, hotter then you could put in your mouth and great batter that didn't over power the pickle. We split an order it was so large. This being my first time I didn't get to try any of there other options and it appears they have a specialty sauce list of about 10+ different sauces to choose. They also have desserts in a jar that looked pretty tasty as well. Overall it's fast food but it didn't taste like it. The restaurant was super clean and the staff very put together and welcoming. I'm hoping it's like that in other ones around the metro but in Weatherford they are really representing this chain proudly. Definitely Worth a try! read more

Hey everyone. I wanted to give a shout out to a local food place here in Weatherford. I hadn't eaten here in several months, but recently tried Slim's Chicken again on Main. That place has made a complete turnaround. The wings were amazing and the tenders were incredible. Usually, once a restaurant turns me off, I don't go back. But, I know it recently came under new management and it shows! My daughter and I love and analyze wings EVERYWHERE. So, it came as a surprise that we found amazing wings here once again. First off. I placed my order and the rude kid behind the counter after giving him the money doesn't give me change. I asked and he's says well I don't have any and it's only .55 cents. I asked him so you think it's Okay to keep my money without even saying anything? So then the same rude kids brings my food. I say thank you and he just drops it on the table and doesn't say a word. We were on our way to grab a quick bite to eat and saw this place - we'd never stopped before, so we thought we would give it a try. First off, walking in the building is a lot bigger, brighter and adorably decorated than we expected! The cleanliness was completely on par! Even though it is more of a fast food stop, it didn't feel like one. The cashier, Ashley, greeted us as soon as we walked through the door and was extremely friendly. Once she realized we had never been there before she immediately went back and got us samples of the sides that come with the meals - all of which were incredible! She explained the whole menu, the wide variety of sauces they have, and was just truly welcoming. Not something we really expect out of a quick stop restaurant. Kid at window had no idea how to speak to customers. I honestly think (never thought I would say this about anyone) I prefer McDonald's. Came in after visiting another location many times. Parking lot was empty which was alarming. However we drove over 30 mins to get here so we chose to eat in my family of 6 meals at least 3 of us had room temp fries upon asking for new the server acknowledged but did not see that we got them. Had to send my spouse to retrieve them. The lady that gave us the new friend did it but you could tell it irritated her. We went there on opening day. We had wonderful service, staff was very friendly and helpful. Recommend the honey mustard and cayenne ranch sauces, that are made in house, for my kids meals. I had the chicken and waffles. Texas shaped, big and fluffy, and delicious. Chicken was crispy outside and tender and juicy inside. Served with syrup and butter, I asked for mine in the side. I tried one of my kids fries, they are golden and crisp! I plan to go back for wings next time. read more

We were very disappointed in our most recent visit. Consistency in customer service is something this particular location struggles with. On 6/5 we ate at this location for lunch. After 42 minutes after ordering, we finally got our food. Employees working there could hardly hold a conversation or communicate with customers nor was any explanation or estimated wait time given. We saw several customers wait a while and ultimately cancel their order and leave. The staff two weeks prior was friendlier and much faster service. Food quality was ok at best. I am a chicken wings fan. The service is quick and the price was great for an order of wings. But they tend to be on the small side. I have tried them several times despite my family protestations. But in the end, once I went to another restaurant and found the wings very meaty, I realized the wings at Slim Chickens is dinky. Hence the name. lol read more

We stopped her for lunch today. We will be working in the area for a few weeks. It was really really good. All three meals we ordered (tenders, wings, and a sandwich) were hot, fresh, and very good. Of course we are in the middle of coved 19 and so logged into the website from the parking lot and waited on them to bring it out curbside. The experience was great and the staff very friendly though. They acted like they were thrilled we were there. This is such a breath of fresh air compared to most places these days where the staff seem like they would much rather be anyplace but work. She even apologized it took 14 minutes instead of the 10 that is on the sign. We did not care at all, especially after tasting the food. I really wish I would have gotten some names to personally mention them and to publicly say thank you. P.S. try the sweet chili and the Korean BBQ sauces if you like big flavor and a little heat.
