I have gone to other Cotton Patch locations so I was expecting the same warm service and food I was used to, well, the Weatherford location left a LOT to be desired. The waitress (Jamie) was dry and completely dismissive like she was doing me a favor by taking my order. She dropped food on the table while talking to other tables and not speaking to me. The silverware wasn't even clean so I had to go upfront to ask for a new set cause I sure wasn't asking the waitress for anything else. There was maybe a dozen people n the whole place, you would think they would be nice or attentive, nope. Satia at Cotton Patch in Weatherford fixed a completely messed-up order without hesitation and handled the entire situation with patience, kindness, and professionalism. She went out of her way to make sure everything was corrected and that we left satisfied. Her attitude and work ethic stand out, and she's a real asset to this location. read more

I stopped here at 3:00 to have a salad. Upon ordering we were told that they did not have any rolls, but if any were ready before we left, she would bring them out. We never got rolls. This has been the case every time I have been here in the last year or 2). I do not understand!!! This is a management issue. Our server was great. The salad was great. read more

We really liked it! Today was our first of what's likely to be many visits as it's only a few miles from where we're building a new home. First, our server McKenna was very pleasant and helpful. She offered us a free appetizer as new customers. We enjoyed the Cadillac Queso and Chips. Very good. My wife ordered the lunch portion Chicken Pot Pie. It was really big and she enjoyed it. For her side, she ordered the Squash Casserole. Really good. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken - lunch portion and Garlic Mashed Potatoes as my side. Both came smothered in yummy peppered cream gravy. What a great meal. See you next time! read more

We ate there for lunch today. We had a great waitress named Tristan. She was so friendly & attentive. Very professional. The restaurant wasn't busy at all & that always makes one nervous but the meals were great. Hot & delicious! It was also $5. Dessert Day which we never get but did this time. It too was delicious! A good friend brought me here because he said they had a good chicken fried steak. The decorations around the table were covered in cobwebs and dust so it should have been a sign. Food arrived quickly and was hot, chicken fried steak and garlic mashed potatoes. Steak was tough and mashed potatoes were the consistency of partially set concrete. This Cotton Patch may have turned me off to ALL Cotton Patches forever. I was craving chicken and dumplings. McAlister's was OUT! So I stopped at Cotton Patch! The place was not really very clean. There was a trail of water leading from one of the tables to the kitchen. I ordered my food. The staff was friendly enough. When I got home... Chicken and dumplings was WAY too salty. Barely edible. The chicken fried steak was good . The crust was a little hard but not bad. No sour taste or smell. I will agree with some others that the sides are lacking a little in amount served. Overall not bad at all. Tasted good . read more

Good value for the money good portion size easy parking and a good selection on the menu

They were short handed which happens. So we patiently waited on our food. It tasted good when it got there and the portion size was good. However, I almost fell twice because the floor was so filthy with a greasy film. Won't go back to this Cotton Patch. read more

I don't know what on earth is going on with the ordering situation at the Weatherford Cotton Patch, but tonight they were out of the following items:  green beans, broccoli, steamed vegetables, mushrooms, low-fat ranch, milk, and sweet tea.  And those are just the items I actually attempted to order... so statistically speaking, they were likely out of many more items as well. By the way, this was at 5:30 pm on a Sunday.  My grilled chicken was cooked to death on a pile of glue-like rice.  My son's kid's meal had moldy strawberries and my husband had mystery French fries buried in his side of gravy.  Our waiter seemed thoroughly unprepared.... clearly lacking menu knowledge, almost skipping my entire order, failing to bring us any napkins or crayons for the kids (we went and got them ourselves), and 3 members of our party did not receive drinks until the food was served. I have never blasted a business like this before publicly, but this was absolutely ridiculous.   We are not from Weatherford, but we have learned our lesson on where not to stop the next time we pull through. read more

WOW!!! my family and I were seated by a friendly waitress who immediately got us drinks. our food came quickly and was hot one of the best meals I've had on this road trip. The food was cold. I have had a hotel muffing room temperature warmer than the sides. Pretty sure the server was cracked out.

Started off on a positive note,, Was seated immediately upon walking in. Sat for over 205 minutes, and nothing! Nobody even acknowledged our presence. I spoke with a woman behind the counter and she asked who my waitress was, I said we didn't have one, been waiting and nobody has come by. She looked confused, said I don't know, and began to walk away...lol. finally was acknowledged about 10 more minutes later, waitress asked if we are ready to pay, we said no, we haven't ordered yet. She walked off, served the table adjacent to us, and over heard the lady saying I am not eating cold food. My wife and I then stood up amd walked away, I doubt anyone noticed. Not sure what the deal is, I love abilene cotton patch, but this place was ridiculous, I will steer away anyone who even considers eating here. read more

A chain restaurant. Clean interior and bathroom. Ordered tomato soup, burger and fries, peach cobbler and Dr. Pepper Chocolate cake. Food was slightly better than average. Burger was too greasy for my tastes. Desserts were tasty, but very sweet (sweeter than average). read more

We used to go to cotton Patch 3 times week and then they did away w all specials. . Sigh so we only go once every few months. We were surprised by Tuesday specials and was excited went 4 weeks in row. Now we re. Sad again because it's over too . Wife and I ordered takeout tonight and we should've ordered elsewhere. I had the shiner fish and chips, the container was melted through from the heat of the fish and fries, maybe put some foil in the container to limit this since people generally not want to think they're eating melted chemicals with their food. The fish and fries were extremely soggy, no crispness at all...my fault for ordering fried food to-go, I knew I should've stuck to something else but I was craving fish and chips. Wife had the chicken tacos and had to microwave the chicken because it was pink in the middle. Also had chips with salsa and queso but no salsa was in the bag, our fault for not checking the bag entirely before leaving. On a positive note, we asked for extra tarter sauce and that was in the bag so not a complete disaster! Overall, not a great experience and won't be back at least for takeout, a few changes need to be made to their quality control. read more

Went to go visit a friend of mine who lives in Weatherford, so him and I were hungry and we were trying to figure out where or what to eat. I recently moved to the DFW and I like to go out and try as many new places as I can, but this place will definitely not be one of those places that I'd go back too. I ordered a medium-rare NY strip, shrimp, garlic mashed potato's, sautéed mushrooms, and some French fries. My steak was a medium-well, the garlic mashed potatoes were bland, lukewarm, and just had no flavor whatsoever. The waitress forgot to get some of our side dishes. We had the spinach dip as an appetizer, that and the dinner rolls were probably the only things that were actually good. I don't even bother mentioning how awful the food is to waitresses any more, most of the time they won't tell the cook or just totally ignore your feedback. I would much rather just leave an honest review for others to see, before they decide to try the place. read more

Sam the GM is great, Alissa the Assistant manager is also fabulous, both very nice and welcoming people that will make you feel like family while you're there. They were all so helpful and patient with my kids that wanted to "order their own food like big kids" lol. The cheese fries are amazing and the chicken fried chicken is my biggest craving! I wish I could eat here every day. I highly recommend them to anyone. read more

We went here last night for the first time. We met some friends from out of state and there were 5 of us. We were seated right away and the young lady took our drink order. Our waitress was there very quickly to take our order. The food was very good all the way around. A special mention for the skillet cornbread. It was a little spicy, a little sweet and really good. So the first time I went there we were allowed 1 roll each. They said they ran out but they were taking rolls to other tables as they were seated. Our waitress never brought more . We had 3 meals. All came out with hot entrees and cold sides. They did bring another set of hot sides for each of us. We had a to go order also. No roll with it. So you think maybe they are having a bad day. So I ordered 3 meals to go today. My daughter gets home with them and yet again. NO ROLLS . I don't know why this Cotton Patch has a Roll shortage but it is ridiculous. Overall a pretty bland experience, the dinner prices make this an even worse deal. The lunch specials are a good value and the portions are pretty large but overall it's just a very bland place. Fries - soggy Gravy - DELICIOUS!!! Chicken fried steak is a staple advertised by cotton patch but the actual beef was very tough and chewy Cinnamon apples are in an incredibly heavy syrup, more of a dessert than a side. I would probably go back for a promotion or lunch special but would never seek it out again on the merits of the food. read more

Such a disappointment. My wife suggested this place as she's is a local and I was really looking forward to some good Southern comfort food. Bottom line, I won't come back. We ordered the catfish, meatloaf and 4 different side. All were a huge disappointment. Furthermore the waiter was terrible, rude and she was just another teenager who didn't want to be there. We had been here before and were not impressed, but something has changed! We had three in our party. One of us had the strawberry pecan salad, one had the pork chops, and one had fish and chips. Very disappointed tonight, usually have a great experience. 2 others were seated when I arrived. So they weren't busy. Got drink order wrong, no big deal. There were plenty of staff but I had to speak up to get a refill on drink, asked about getting bread, oh they were out today. Had to ask for a Togo box. They seem to be busy doing nothing rather than paying attention to their customers. Don't know how they would handle a crowd. Just a sad experience. read more
