Went here for a birthday celebration & the staff & food did not disappoint. Our waitress Cayna was delightful--very personable & efficient. We had a party of 10 & all of us raved about our food. The glazed croissants to start with were hot & delicious as always. We had brought our own b-day Key Lime Pie & Cayna knew just when to serve it & with extra plates & utensils. It felt like a real celebration! I also want to give a shout-out to Walter, the manager. He mentioned that he'd only been in that position for a few months & was working diligently to get it up to his standards. I think he's making a good start. read more

Haven't been to Cheddars in a while, and well, we should probably come here more often since the food is yummy and the portions they give are pretty generous. Our waiter was very nice and accommodating. He served us right away with the honey butter croissants, which was so delicious, crispy and melts in your mouth. We ordered the Grilled Shrimp Alfredo and the seasoning on the shrimp was so good. I wish the pasta was more al dente, since it was on the softer side. Aside from that, the garlic bread was also really yummy. I wish there were two of those. We also got the Buffalo Chicken wrap, which comes with two wraps cut in half. It was super filling and the fries were nice and crispy. Our waiter suggested to have the wrap with lettuce instead of cabbage and with bacon, so that's what we ordered. Been a longtime fan of Cheddars. My go to is the chicken tenders platter w honey mustard. Tenders and fries fresh out of the fryer...hot and crisp. Wife had the chicken tender salad. Food was great and generous portions which I appreciate in these days and times. Service was slow, not very engaging and not all too attentive. Luckily we didn't need much attention bc she wasn't around the section too often. No biggie for us we had what we needed in general. read more

Kitchen management needs some help. Menu items not available - broccoli, carrots, coleslaw, green beans...basically all fresh green vegetables and most of the usual sides. We heard our waitress apologizing to tables around us for all sorts of menu items not being available. Kitchen service was miserable - we waited more than 40 minutes for our meal. (It was NOT our waitress's fault! She was super nice and seemed embarrassed by the entire situation.) When our food finally arrived, my husband's meatloaf was literally burnt around the edges, and I had no sides because options that I can eat were either not available or the kitchen ran out! The absolute kicker was the table next to us...the gentleman tried to order a beer from the bar, but was told that the tap was broken so no beer! read more

The place needs a good cleaning as the back of the seats and the kiosk were filthy. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and it wasn't clean in there either. This is my second time here and their food is amazing! They start off with these delicious breads! The service is great and the place is really nice and cozy inside . My favorite so far is the Buffalo shrimp soooo good! Their Caesar salad is probably my favorite and their baked potato is amazing ! I had the shrimp with ribs this time all good. The food was very good, I had about 8 croissants my server Jeremy was very funny. I was the last customer so he talked to me and joked with me for a bit he's a pretty nice guy my favorite server there as a matter of fact. The ambiance was kinda awkward since I was the sole customer there and there wasn't any music playing from what I heard. The fries were a bit undersalted but very good nonetheless. This was the first time here for two of us and the second time for the other two, for lunch on Easter Sunday. Every employee from the ladies that greeted and seated us, to Dante who waited and served us were an absolute pleasure in fact, from what we could tell, every employee there just seemed happy to be of service. That alone is refreshing and appreciated, but the food was good too and pricing reasonable. We'll certainly be back. read more

Came in about 4:30 and only 4 tables were filled. Gave our order for 4 of us. Drinks came quickly but after and hour still no food. I asked if everything was okay and was told the oven took a long time to heat up! about another 15 minutes and we finally got our food. Mine was fish and shrimp. The fish was super mushy the shrimp decent but heavily battered. I would not get this again. The best thing I had was red beans and rice but it was not hot so that was a bummer. The others had ribs and chicken and said the chicken was very good and the ribs tasted good but dry. The croissants were tasty. Drinks were good but very little liquor. Service was good with a lot of weird excuses. We spent over $110 for okay food that took forever. I'm being generous with 3 stars. read more

This last visit we had Jessica as our waitress. Even though we got there 40 minutes before closing she was amazing. She was kind, friendly, quick, got our order perfect and kept our drinks filled. We've been here several times and I can count twice that I have been completely satisfied. The croissants are always cold, the fries are always cold and the place is always dead. It also seems the host like to overload the bar area so it makes it hard for the bartender to do their jobs up to task and satisfaction. We grew up with a Cheddar's in our hometown so we were excited to hear was coming to our area. The service here is OUTSTANDING!!! Our server was training and did a phenomenal job keeping our drinks full and table clean. She checked on us often and was so friendly. Cheddars has great drinks and stellar food. Bar has numerous TVs for sports and many booths and tables. The larger side has a more laid back experience with very large fish tanks everywhere. I first want to say that they were on spot and the food was delicious!! The place was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. Mr. Walter, the manager and the young lady that helped carry the bags of food out was super friendly and very professional. After Walter received payment for our large order, he was quick to get it out to my truck and made sure it was all placed inside in an orderly manner making sure nothing fell over. Customer service is ALWAYS a big deal to me, and I absolutely have nothing to complain about. I will certainly make sure that anyone I know at least gives them a try. Unfortunately, this is our second bad experience at this Cheddars. Both times we were served in the bar area. We don't drink and we don't like the tight seating area of the bar. Today the hostess asked how many and we said "just two" and then she began to lead us to the bar area. We asked for something in the main dining area and explained to her we had previously had a bad experience, dining in the bar. The restaurant was not busy and had less than half the tables even filled. The hostess insisted that the bar area had its own server and that our experience would be better. Oddly enough every dining table in the bar was filled. Our service was not great... the one server had too many tables to be effective. We waited for requested lemons and then tea refills. The manager went to a couple of tables and asked how their dining experience was, we were avoided. This Cheddars won't last long with this lack of customer service. Too many other options to be treated this way! read more

I've been to several Cheddar's restaurants all across America and they've all been mediocre at best. This one in Hudson Oaks is no different. Waiter was young and inexperienced, took 20 minutes to take my order. Food, when it finally arrived 20 minutes later, was average. I doubt I'll be back. read more

This Cheddar's location recently opened, and every time I drive by it's packed, so I had to try it out! Let me tell you, I'm so glad I did. To start, you get these ooey gooey crescent rolls with butter on them. They are somehow better than the ones you make at home. The drinks are cheap, and our bartender gave a great amount of alcohol. Everything is so reasonably priced, too! Now let's get to more details. Tried the chips and queso. At first, I thought it was just ok, but pro tip - you should mix the sour cream with the queso. Game changer. I got the key west chicken (picture added to this review). It had a slight kick to it but was delicious. You get to choose two generous sides with most entrees as well. The service was on point, and I have not seen a more fun group of workers! Recommend this spot for any casual night out. read more

Food was 5 stars. The whole family was all very happy with each of their choices! We have a rating system when we go out the eat and it's a scale of 1-10. We all rated this restaurant at a 10 for the food! Definitely would be back again for that! Now the service was not as friendly and not very attentive to us. She barely interacted with us and we gave our order to her she did not bring out the extras like butter and sauces requested. Was slow on the refills of water and we watched her off in a Corner talking with the other servers! I'm sorry I've worked in restaurants all my life and if I wanted a good tip I would make sure they were served with a smile and get friendly service! I would also make sure that all they asked for was brought with the food when it was delivered. As me personally if I wanted some sauce or condiments to complete my meal I certainly do not want to wait to start eating my food when I'm waiting for the condiments to arrive! I want to enjoy it while it's hot and fresh in front of me. We also wanted to take our leftovers home and she only brought us 1/2 size boxes so we had to wait to get some more boxes? Now I don't know if that's they only size they had? I can not imagine they pack their to go meals in those? Over all although the server was not attentive we would definitely go back again! My party of 2 arrived about 2:00 PM Friday afternoon. We were seated promptly and shortly after our drink orders were taken. We're off to a good start. Both of us ordered classic burgers , well done. One with a bun and one without and 2 orders of fries. It took quite a bit for our food to come out, but fresh cooked food takes some time. The French fries were great!! They were hot and tasted homemade. The burgers on the other hand were a different story. First, they were cooked medium, not well done. But the weird thing was the texture of the burgers. They didn't have the normal texture of a hamburger, it was off putting, kinda' mushy, or like soggy cereal inside. I'm not sure how to describe it. I probably should have sent it back, but didn't. The server was very sweet, and very attentive but not smothering. I doubt seriously I'll ever get a burger here again. read more
