    Shrimp Quesadillas
    Angela K.

The dining experience left much to be desired. The food was overpriced and of mediocre quality, falling short of authentic Mexican cuisine. The tortillas were not homemade, and the chips and salsa lacked distinction. On a positive note, the customer service was excellent, the establishment was clean, and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, given the high prices, I expected a little more. We will definitely give it another try. Hopefully we just caught them on a busy night and they haven't quite got the swing of things yet.

Service was fast to sit us down and get our drinks and our order. After they it was slow. Salsa and chips are awesome queso was really good too. After that the food went down hill. The sauce for the enchiladas was really bad, the beans had no flavor and the chicken was dry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was nice, clean and big.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They need work on the food and the service.

    Rubbery meat w salsa Fresca

Besides finding a hair in a lettuce side, the salsa Fresca was at least a day old. The meat in the tacos was rubbery and there were flies everywhere. Staff was nice (they can't help the kitchen which needs an overhaul) and parking good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The location is perfect however I don't know if they'll make it due to the poor food quality.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Bit of an off night but still my go to in Weatherford. Slight delay getting drink and chips/salsa. Asked for no ice in drink. Strike one. Ordered one of my favorites, Taco Jalisco. this time a combo of carnitas and grilled chicken. Carnitas flavor was excellent but the kitchen included some gristle (see photo) that was unexpected and took the meal down a notch. Minor complaints but I try to be accurate and fair.

Good food, waited quite a while for our dinner which wasn't great but it was tasty, I'd skip the Birria tacos a bit basic but everything else was good.

My wife and I recently made our second visit to Rio Brazos Grill, and the entire experience was…read moreexcellent. We don't think of it as often as we should because it is a bit of a drive outside Granbury, but this dinner reminded us that it is well worth the trip. We started by sharing the bacon and poblano jumbo lump crab cake. It was beautifully prepared, flavorful and an excellent beginning to the meal. I ordered the 6-ounce beef tenderloin prepared medium, with asparagus and half of a twice-loaded baked potato. The tenderloin was wonderful--extremely tender, remarkably flavorful and cooked exactly as requested. Wife ordered the Red Snapper A La Plancha. It was seared and served over wild rice and sautéed asparagus, then topped with roasted-corn salad and lemon beurre blanc. I don't typically consider myself a fan of red snapper, but after trying a bite of hers, I had to admit it was delicious. We finished with a bite or two each from the chocolate ganache plate, which was the perfect ending without being too much. What made the evening especially memorable was our server, Cynthia. To our surprise, we recognized her from La Crêperie in Granbury, where she previously cooked and presented special dinners. Cynthia is French, extremely knowledgeable about food and genuinely enjoyable to visit with. Her warmth, personality and attentive service elevated an already excellent meal. If you visit Rio Brazos, I strongly encourage you to ask for Cynthia. Great service can transform a good dinner into a memorable evening, and that is exactly what she did for us. Rio Brazos offers upscale food in a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, with thoughtful presentation, quality ingredients and outstanding service. It may be a little outside town, but it is absolutely worth the drive. Rio Brazos Grill--and Cynthia--earned every one of these five stars.

The rumors are true Rio Brazos Grill is fantastic. Not "good for a small town," not "surprisingly…read moredecent" just flat-out good. The kind of place where it's immediately obvious someone in the kitchen actually knows what they're doing, which already puts it ahead of most restaurants pretending to. The meal starts strong with flash-fried calamari Fresno chilies, sweet chili sauce, balanced heat, and a clean execution. It comes as strips, which feels a little safe. Rings or whole baby squid would've shown more technical confidence, but fine the flavor still delivers, and at the end of the day, that's what people actually remember. The Calabria chili shrimp follows with the same sense of control: spicy, but not trying to prove a point. Paired with grilled baguette, it does exactly what it's supposed to do support the dish instead of getting in the way. And then there's the Chicken Fried Ribeye, which sounds like a bad decision until you eat it. Crispy on the outside, rich and tender underneath, covered in black pepper gravy with buttermilk mashed potatoes, a potato nest, and because apparently restraint is optional--two fried quail eggs. It's excessive, but not stupid. That's a very fine line, and they walk it well. Chef Clint Connaway clearly has classical training--nobody just stumbles into a proper beurre blanc. The menu pulls from Southwestern, Native American, Mexican and French influences, which should feel chaotic but somehow doesn't. It works because the execution is consistent, even when the ideas get a little ambitious. That said, the place isn't perfect. The quail eggs show up so often they start to feel less like a signature and more like a habit. And for all the technical skill, there's a noticeable lack of local identity. With Bosque Ranch right down the road, it's hard not to wonder why more local beef isn't front and center. A stronger focus on seasonal or locally sourced ingredients would push this from great to something more grounded--something that actually tastes like where you are. And then there's the obvious question: why no brunch? A kitchen like this could absolutely dominate a brunch service. Instead, it's just... not happening, which feels like wasted potential. Still, none of that changes the core truth. The food is thoughtful, the technique is real, and most importantly you leave feeling satisfied instead of questioning your life choices. That alone is worth something.

Kyler was an excellent waiter & kept us supplied with plenty of delicious chips, salsa & cold drinks--what more could you ask for? All of us had various entrees & the only complaint was that the ground beef on the taco salad was cold. And when we alerted Kyler he corrected this quickly. The fajitas were excellent with a lot of onions & bell peppers. The fajitas for 1 was ordered for 2 people & was sufficient for both of us, even with enough to take home for leftovers. The frozen margaritas were very tasty & paired well with our entrees. Oh, the many pictures of customer's dogs on the walls was a nice homey touch & fun to look at. All in all it was a good Tex-Mex experience for us all & we'll definitely be back. And we'll ask for Kyler if he's available.

Awful service feedback regarding our visit to Chuy's in Weatherford today on Father's day around…read more7pm. I have heard negative things about this location on the Weatherford Facebook page, and the choice was between Cheddar's, and Chuy's, my family suggested Cheddar's, and I chose to dine with you, but unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing due to poor service from Ryanne N. regarding the following issues during my visit: Slow, and inattentive service to the point that we had to flag down another server over to our table minutes after the disappearanceof our server, even though the restaurant did not appear overly busy. But the icing on the cake was that when she finally came and asked if we were okay, and i made her aware of substandard service, and told her that my food arrived cold, incorrect, and poorly prepared "tortilla torn to shreds, and soggy from being 8n the window too long. She became rude, and defensive statind " I have been doing TOGO Orders this whole time, and I'm tired" her arrogance, and inability to hear feedback changed the mood of the whole table. Her manager came and offered to swap the order for something else but by then the rest of the table were done and the vibe had changed. Never did we get an apologetic comment. So with that said i wish i had chosen Cheddar's since they dont have a problem with brown people over there. The lack of professionalism, and Staff arrogance is a problem that you guys need to fix at once because never have we dined in a place with such subtle defensive server as we did with Ryanne As a paying customer, I expect a basic standard of hospitality and efficiency, just like anyone else butthe poor experience significantly detracted from what was meant to be an enjoyable evening. And that was worse. Please do better
