The inside is clean and the young lady taking our order was prompt. My only concern was the quality of the food. My husband had a spicy chicken sandwich and enjoyed it. My mom and I had wings and the skin of the wings were very rubbery. Not like I remembered. My strips were also a little salty. I feel like this place may be a hit or miss but it's not bad. 2.75. (I know this is very wacky....but please read on). As with several reviews I've done, this one comes with the caveat that it contains opinions of our "family" although my comments override all. One branch of our crew (3 members) unanimously gave it 4 solid stars. Great flavors, fresh, hot chicken and fries in their opinions. A second branch (4 individuals) gave it 3.5-4.5 stars. Granted, their order came via GrubHib so there was a bit of a "drawback" or letdown from the soggy fries they got. The final branch (3 more of us) gave it a wide range 2-3-4. One: loved the wings but found two with extra inedible skin. The last 2 of us found the chicken breast sandwiches to be very "off" in flavor. Very fishy as if done in old oil. Fries were ok but the one crowning success was the very delightful sauces. Each was distinct and different. (& a bargain at 5 for $1.99) Last note: our order was at the drive-thru and took a bit longer than we expected. Locals here. Not sure why it took this long to give Slim Chickens a try, but glad we did this evening! I had their new Memphis BBQ sandwich and my wife had their Chicken Club sandwich. Both sandwiches were really good. The Memphis BBQ was authentic, and the many synergetic flavors in both sandwiches exploded in our mouths (in a very good way!) My side was coleslaw (again, Southern authentic delicious) and my wife had fries (perfectly made and not greasy or soggy.) Foods mediocre, but the worst part was my experience with my online order and certain employees. Order was placed a 5:40pm for a 6:15 pickup. I get to the store and they didn't make it yet. Instead of listening to me they rudely told me it would be on the pickup table when ready. Wasted 15 min and then someone finally realized my order wasnt even made. After 30min and speaking with the manager they finally made my order. Will never come back here and strongly recommend against anyone else coming. The manager and some employees were helpful and friendly, but I shouldn't have to waste 30min before they finally decide they messed up and never made my order. He said they were mediocre, and to not go there. That was a deal breaker for me. Since its chicken, after all, that they specialize in. It better be good! I'm so happy that Slims has finally come here! The food is so yummy and it's a nice change from other places. It gets super busy at dinner time and watch for the turn in! Hot damn this place is amazing. Best chicken tenders I've had in a while. Cherry hooked it up by suggesting the inferno sauce. I'm a pepper head so this sauce was very mild and delightful, though I wish they had something a bit spicier Dae was also a delight when there, in fact the whole staff is. Let me first say I love your food and eat it often, plus I have your app to collect points. Today, I did an order through the drive thru for $33.34. I noticed the amount of fried okra was much less than in my past orders. So, I went inside the restaurant to question what I noticed. The first person showed no interest in my question about the amount of okra, the second person from drive thru (was nice and friendly) referred me to the manager, AUSTIN, who was on his cell phone behind the counter. Once he was off of his phone, it looked like he was having a bad day (my observation was correct in how he dealt with me) and as I explained my displeasure with the amount of okra in the order, he responded that everything is measured and if I wanted, he would make another order to compare. I asked him if he did that, would he be willing to redo the entire order as it would be cold by the time the new okra was done to which he responded "no" in a manner that was condescending, but that he would give me a brownie. After some more discussion about consistency amount of the product and feeling shorted, and realizing that he would not redo the order, I asked if I was still going to get a brownie in which he responded "no' because of my attitude. Never once did I raise my voice or make a scene. At this point, I definitely felt shorted and that my valid complaint was trivialized. Austin lacks severely in customer service skills! His demeanor and the way he treats your customers and employees are a reflection of your company. I am a regular customer and have visited your establishment 7 times, including today, in the month of January. I do not feel that I will be back. There are other restaurants that serve chicken sandwiches and so forth with more quantity of product and definitely better customer service. This was the worst experience I've had.
