Happy family after Father's Day breakfast!
    Tara S.

Delicious! Vacationing for Father's Day's weekend and stopped here on our way home. It was very busy but the service was great, food was quick and tasty, and the price was good! I wish we had one of these in our town.

Excellent food! Waitress Robin was very friendly and knowledgeable about menu and how eggs were cooked! Plenty of food served. When someone new came in she told them about call in orders and gave them a to go menu. Will return!

So, we have a rule while on vacation that we can't eat at a place that we can eat at home. The kids said Cracker Barrel but totally against the rule so Waffle Shoppe it was. I picked this spot because it only had 2 reviews and well, it need's more. Pulling in the place had a nice crowd and we only waited about 5 minutes. The general atmosphere was very much like a dinner but it appears as though they may have had some previous hurricane damage as there were buckets on the floor collecting water (it was raining REALLY bad today) and there were panels missing from the ceiling. The menu has a ton of options and unique ones at that. We each (6 of us) ordered something different so I feel like we have a well rounded review of the food. No doubt about it the Belgian Waffle was the meal of the morning. You can smell them as soon as you walk in. Great flavor, lots of fresh strawberries and plenty of whip cream on top. The sausage and egg burrito was about average and could have used a bit of extra seasoning. The eggless omelet was HUGE and was the second favorite meal. Pretty flavorful and packed with egg, sausage and cheese. The French toast plate came with so much food you couldn't eat it all but my daughter certainly got an "A" for effort. The French toast was "ok" but wasn't my grandmas (who by the way made the best). I just got the standard eggs, bacon, toast and home fries and it was good. I have to say this was the first place I've ever gone that actually made my eggs over medium, which is how I always order. The kids meal was not enough for my 10 year old but, she knew what she was ordering and I knew she would eat from my plate too. She got the French Toast 111. Three things I want to mention that impacted all of us. One, they didn't bring all of our food out together which was probably good because our table was big but not big enough for all the plates at once. Two, the temperature of the food wasn't piping hot like we'd prefer. Example, the cheese on the burrito wasn't melted and all of our home fries were lukewarm warm. Three, we all LOVED the bacon The menu prices were really good though which has been something I've noticed so far here at PCB.

Great old school type place with friendly staff and great food. I've head the breakfast twice and it's spot on! Quaint mom & pop feel to it with plenty of selection and no wait during the week.

We wanted breakfast before we hit the road to head home from our Vacation at the beach. We went to one place at the beach and the wait was going to be almost 2 hours. We had our grand baby with us and needed to eat fast and get on the road. We found this place and we were seated as soon as we walked in the door. We ordered our food, food was fresh and service was amazing! Our waitress was very attentive to our needs. The coffee was fresh too. They seated us close to the kitchen which was good because our 12 month old grandson loves to people watch so he was able to watch the waitresses come in and out of the door.. lol it's the small things that keep babies entertained. All the staff were so friendly. The ambiance of this place is very nostalgic & made you feel like you were eating at Maw & paws house.

Can't believe this place wasn't included on Yelp before! Great breakfasts for a low price, it's a cute diner that a local recommended to me and it opens nice and early at 6 too. The hostesses are very attentive and coffee refills were greatly appreciated.

Immediately upon entering, there is some coffee and merchandise to your right, the ordering counter is straight ahead, and there's plenty of seating throughout the rest of the space. My wife and I were both drawn to their specialty menu, which was extensive and colorful. We both ended up choosing the same pistachio cookie latte, though I went with a large hot version, while my wife opted for a medium iced one. After about a five-minute wait, we had our coffees and headed on our way. My coffee turned out to be quite good. The first thing that hit me was the pistachio flavor, followed by the sweetness from the shortbread, and finally the coffee and milk came through at the finish. While I would have preferred a slightly stronger coffee flavor, I have to admit I basically inhaled it since I really enjoyed the taste. My wife also enjoyed her pistachio latte, and while she usually has quite a bit left by the time we get home, this time it was almost gone which says a lot. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I enjoyed the vibe of The Press and thought their specials were great as well.

We came with a party of 12 for brunch,…read moreso we expected it to take a little longer, but it still took about 50 minutes for our food to come out, and we ended up being there for nearly two hours. The food was very hit or miss. My grilled cheese looked like it had been smashed in a panini press, but the cheese wasn't even melted, and the bacon didn't add much. The fries were honestly the best thing on my plate. The chicken salad sandwich was incredibly dry--more like a brick of chicken salad between two slices of bread than an actual sandwich. The grits were by far the worst part of the meal. They were watery, the grains tasted undercooked, and the texture was just awful. My mimosa was basically orange juice with little to no champagne, and using pulpy orange juice made it even less enjoyable. To be fair, not everything was bad. My mom said her eggs Benedict were some of the best she's had, and my sister's BLT was okay, not terrible, but definitely nothing special. Overall, aside from the fries and the eggs Benedict, the food was disappointing, especially considering the wait. We left wishing we'd gone somewhere else.

Don't plaster takeout menus all over your website, Google, and Facebook if you're just going to turn paying customers away at the first sign of a rush. I called to place a quick order for my daughter and myself, only to be met with an immediate, snotty attitude: "We don't do pickup orders when we're busy." When I called back to speak with management about how I was treated, the manager, Kevin, made it abundantly clear where the staff learns their awful attitude. Instead of listening for even ten seconds, he repeatedly talked over me and started arguing. After that disgusting display of "customer service," I called Mosey's instead. You could hear right over the phone that they were slammed with a packed house, but the gentleman who answered was patient, respectful, and took our order for a calzone and cheese sticks without hesitation. When I asked if it was okay to bring my 7-year-old daughter inside to pick it up, he didn't hesitate: "We're very family-friendly, come on in." We happily waited 15 minutes in line just to pick up our food because good businesses that treat people with respect actually deserve our money. Take notes from Mosey's, Kevin. My daughters loved the cucumber sandwiches--they tasted fresh and crisp. The ham and provolone had a mustard spread they didn't care for, and the bread was a little on the stale side. That said, the presentation on the two-tier platter was undeniably cute. Honestly though, the real win here is the vibe. It somehow blends traditional afternoon tea with hip coffee shop energy and just a hint of speakeasy moodiness. The "bar" lined with loose leaf teas instead of liquor bottles was such a fun touch (though yes, they do serve alcohol too if that's your thing). We sat in one of the window alcoves, which felt semi-private and made the whole outing with my daughters feel a little extra special. And the floor-to-ceiling bookshelf? Chef's kiss.
