The food here is amazing. I've been here for Sunday brunch, Dinner and Lunch on a Saturday. My last visit I shared the Fried Green Tomatoes with my daughter and I had the Cajun E Pepe. Overall, Harrison's was just okay--pretty mid-tier. Nothing that blew us away, but nothing terrible either. I ordered the burger with mac and cheese. The burger was pretty dry, and I wasn't a huge fan of the bun. The mac and cheese had a nice creamy texture but was very underseasoned--it just needed some salt and pepper to bring it together. The tuna dip was probably the highlight. It was really good, but the toasted bread that came with it tasted stale or maybe just over-toasted. The crackers were much better. I also had the Shell Island Sipper. It was a good, fruity drink and exactly what I expected--no complaints there. We discovered this place accidentally but were so impressed! I highly recommend the spicy margaritas and the bangarang bites (shrimp). Our service was amazing and the atmosphere is great. Brunch food is good but hit & miss on flavor. Last visit had a haoe entwined in The chicken & velelvet waggle dish (sparing you the visual) - presentation of food is always nice. Good step it up on theenus presentation considering the aesthetic of this restaurant and it's view. there is a standard merchant fee for the establishment even before they know whether or not you're using a credit card or debit card to pay. Came downtown to grab dinner but the place we intended to go was closed, and after checking other restaurants in the area, we ended up at Harrison's. We ate here on a Sunday night at 5:30 - half of the tables were empty. Our service was absolutely horrendous. We were seated for at least 15 minutes before we finally flagged down a waiter and asked them who our server was. After another 5 minutes, someone came to the table and gave us a lame excuse about our table being assigned to someone who had left earlier. They brought us our drinks, and then our appetizer - we got a burrata salad which was okay but nothing amazing. For advertising "sliced heirloom tomatoes" it was disappointing to receive a mix of cherry tomatoes. Even after the long wait to be greeted, it was also a very long time before the food was served. My food (blackened shrimp tacos) arrived lukewarm and was alright. My partner got the grouper imperial - he enjoyed the sauce but mentioned the rest of the dish was flavorless. My mother-in-law got the braised short ribs and was disappointed when her "roasted vegetables" arrived raw. Granted - they did give us a 20% discount because of the awful service, however knowing the service is so bad it has to be discounted without even saying anything is disheartening. Ironically enough, as we were getting up to leave, a table seated well before our departure was complaining about how nobody had been to their table to get their drink order and it had been a while. The only thing keeping this from being a one-star review is the beautiful waterfront location and the fact that one dish--our friend's CAB Filet--was actually good. Aside from that, our experience at Harrison Seafood and Bar was a letdown. Despite the restaurant not being full, it took over an hour from the time we placed our order to when the food finally arrived. By that point, everyone at the table was starving. What made it worse was the complete lack of communication--no one checked on us, no apology for the delay, and we had to track down our server just to get an update. I ordered the Seafood Platter and was surprised by how small it was, especially for the price. To top it off, the side dish didn't arrive until 10 minutes after the main plate was served. While the food wasn't terrible, it certainly wasn't anything special--and definitely not worth the cost. Before we left, we spoke with the manager. She did apologize for the poor service and offered a 10% discount. While we appreciated the gesture, it didn't come close to making up for the frustrating experience. Sadly, this visit left a bad taste in more ways than one. We don't plan to return and wouldn't recommend this place to others. read more

Service did not warrant a 22% tip. Server forgot my beer. I even reminder her when my food came out. Sever forgot another round of wine for other guests at table. Dinner dishes were left on table when desserts came out. We had to stare at our eaten dinner plate while eating dessert.What is admin fee? Other restaurants in area do not charge that. What is merchant fee? Other restaurants do not charge that. We are locals and that was our first visit there with other locals. The consensus at the table is nobody wants to return because of excessive fees. No mamager present. You would think the manager would be talking to tables as restaurant was not that busy. I think it's time to upgrade the dishes, and I don't just mean the food. Seems like they're trying to over complicate the new menu to match their ridiculously high prices. Went in for a drink and a snack. The peach sangria ($14) was great, which is why they get 2 stars. The peel and eat shrimp appetizer left a lot to be desired though ($24) It was cooked correctly, the shrimp was not over or undercooked, they were quite large and the portion was just enough for two to share, but there wasn't much flavor (unless you consider butter a flavor). It was also meant to come with bread, which was missing, and I had to ask and wait a long time for cocktail sauce. The sweet potato fries were just ok ($7) and slightly overcooked. But the moscato ($12) was not chilled and tasted old and sour. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. It's my third time trying to give this place a chance but I was left with a sour taste in my mouth. I know quite a few local residents and they never mentioned Harrison. Me and my family were in town and looking for a good place to eat. I know several and we attempted to go to them but they were so backed up we opted to try some where else that was less crowded. My wife and my sister found Harrison's and I immediately called some of the people I know who live here. They all said the same thing I have never been there so I can't comment. Please let me know how it is if you go there. We did go and let me tell you they are on our list now and we will take all our family and friends there when they visit us. The restaurant is large and spacious both inside and out on the patio with beautiful views from all the seating. We were seated within 3 minutes because we did make reservations. Our waitress came out and greeted us shortly after we were seated. Might I inform you the place was busy and was catering 3 events at the same time. We placed our order and began to enjoy the ambience of our evening. Then things took a turn for the worst as our food was running considerably long even though we know they were very busy. That's when I asked for the manager our waitress went and delivered the message and then cam back to check on us and said the Mgr was on the way. Upon returning back to our table with food the waitress was followed by the Mgr who helped bring our food. He came and spoke to me and we step away from the table so they could began to eat. I explained to him what had happened. He did not give me the usual I'm sorry excuse we are so busy. He said please accept our apologies how can we make it right. It was at that moment I knew the experience was going to be great. He addressed the entire table and said please let me know if anything else was not to our liking and he would make it right. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and Josh the bartender made excellent drinks nothing turned out bad even though I was ready to give them some words for being late. The lateness was quickly forgotten and it ended up being our best night out for the entire week. I don't want to forget the cheery and happy attitude of our waitress (Junae) and the positive mental attitude of the manager (Keith) that made the experience exceptional. I did some research and found out that they did had some problems about 10 months ago but I am now a witness that they did Improvise, Adapt and Overcome and became a 5 star restaurant with a lot of hard work. I am happy to state that this is an outstanding restaurant. I highly recommend to all my family and friends who visit. We have tried Harrison's half a dozen times. It has so much potential and the views can't be beat but the service is very hit and miss and the food is mediocre time after time. Our service was horrible because the young man was too interested in speaking with his other table, then we ordered some tuna wonton tacos for an appetizer and when they came out, it was not even enough to be an appetizer for one person. Had the server told us that the serving sizes, mimic "Honey I shrunk the kids" we would have gone elsewhere because my 18 year-old son still has a big appetite. We then ordered a seafood dish with blackened grouper, scallops, and shrimp...... the grouper was so well done that it was hardly edible and the blackened seasoning was so incredibly overwhelming and salty that neither my son or I could stand it.....we drank tons of water to wash down the horrible food. We began with their Old Fashioned drink, which was delicious. Then we got their Cobb salad, which was also great. We ordered their Blackstone chicken, which includes Griddled Chicken Breast, Peppers + Onions, Garlic Mayo, Provolone, Cajun, and Gambino. We also ordered their Fish Tacos, which include Gulf Fish of the Day, Grilled Corn Tortilla, Pico de Gallo, Cilantro Cabbage, Avocado, and Queso. We were visibly Panama City and decided to check this restaurant out due to the rave reviews, and were blown away! The restaurant sits right next to the water, and due to the many windows and outdoor seating, the view is amazing from any place you sit. We got seated right away, and our waiter was incredible. He was able to answer all my questions about the gluten free options, so that I had a safe lunch. The mashed potatoes were garlicky and satisfying, while the mahi mahi sandwich was refreshing especially with the bit of pineapple on top. For me the food in general was good with emphasis more on presentation than taste. I had the blackened shrimp tacos probably the only miss of all the food I had tasted. I felt the sum of all the inside of the taco was somewhat on the bland side and outer flour taco shell was unusually thought and chewy and had trouble biting through it. On the other hand other things that I had were very delicious, such as the Oyster Rockefeller, plump juicy oysters top with a nice spinach cheese mixture. Side of collards were also well prepare and seasoned perfectly. Service was friendly and good without the need for anything that was not taken care of immediately. It's probably one of the worst cuts of ribeye I have had in a long time. Mash potatoes were salty and paste-like, and the vegetables were not tasty. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.
