This is a decent place to dine at whether you are on a bike or visiting in a cage. The BLT wrap is delicious. The wings made to order are just perfect. I am not much of a pizza fan and my favorite pizza will always be Mello Mushroom. The pizza was OK though as another stated it is as much as a Mello Mushroom pie. Next time I will order the pizza with a THIN crust. The regular crust was a bit soggy in the middle and a lot of dough all around and I just don't like the dough. I prefer the toppings. I would have liked to see more bacon on it. The homemade french fries were delicious. For Robbinsville / Graham County NC, this place is great! - I hope the locals don't ever take over and ruin it.

Outside searing by the river!

The best and I repeat the best pizza in the 50 mile radius!!! The place itself is in a renovated lodge from 1920s with ton of character. Outside seating is only interrupted by a constant stream of the river just feet away. Must see if you are in the area. Also available (upstairs) is a 5 star Japanese restaurant. The staff is friendly, professional and nice. Special kudos to servers and the chef.

The view from my seat.

We were on a nice fall drive in the area and passed this place. It looked so amazing from the road that we quickly turn around and stopped for a bite. Best decision of the day. The outdoor seating faces and incredibly beautiful stream. In addition to regular tables, they have high back chairs that face the stream with a table connected between the chairs, perfect for two. We quickly ordered two local brews and enjoyed the view of the flowing stream and the smell of the burning fire pit logs while we waited for our food. I ordered a juicy bacon cheeseburger which was very large (1/2 lb) with fresh cut fries. My wife had a chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato fries. Both were delicious. Good service as well. Between the great food and the spectacular view, it doesn't get much better than this.

Pizza, bleu cheese chips and delicious beer.

My husband and I saw a patio near the river while taking a day trip out that way, and decided to see what we could find.

The evening was perfect and the outdoor seating near the river made a perfect backdrop. Live music began at 7 which was also nice. We ordered our drinks, appetizer (trout nuggets are very good!) and entrees at the insistence of our hostess and glad we did. By 5:30 it got very busy! I was dissatisfied with my grilled chicken sandwich. The grilled chicken had no seasoning. Plentiful portion but very bland and tasteless. I ate the grilled onions and mushrooms and a couple bites of the toasted wheat bread with melted cheese. My daughter had the Chicken Caesar wrap and she said it was messy but not bad. The Pizookie was delicious which made everything alright!! Who does not love a hot chocolate chip cookie with ice cream, caramel drizzle & whipped cream?! This was my 2nd time and even though my sandwich was not perfect, I still enjoy eating here. It is worth the trip!

Sitting outside, by the river,…read morewatching the kayakers go by, and eating this magical pizza, is one of our absolute favorite things to do, every time we visit the area (twice a year). Now, let me tell you why I CANNOT give them 5 stars. I have been telling my in-laws about this place (AND this pizza) for about 3 years. Last month, we took them to Waynesville, for what will likely be their last trip to Waynesville, their favorite place. (health reasons) We were staying in Waynesville and shopping in Pigeon Forge and it was lunch time. We were headed to Mel's Diner, and at the last second, I suggested we go by Tapoco Tavern, instead, to get the pizza I had been telling them about. Everybody was hungry, but agreed they could hold out for another hour to try this pizza they'd heard so much about. We were all starving by the time we finally pulled up to the LOCKED GATES at Tapoco Tavern. Their website had NO MENTION OF BEING CLOSED. We assumed they must close for the season, but a few days later, I saw an advertisement for Tapoco Lodge, on Facebook. Go figure. We drove 60-100 miles out of the way and still had to drive another hour to get to the third restaurant attempt. (Luckily, Native Brews, in Cherokee was open (obviously, we called first). Any other restaurant would have a one star review for this train wreck dining day. But, that awesome pizza will STILL keep us coming back. Sadly, my in-laws will never experience the best Margherita pizza. Go here. Get the Margherita pizza. It's a game changer. But, CALL FIRST!

It's part of the Nantahala Outdoor Center which offers all kinds of river trips but we were there in February so no one was on the water. The food has always been top notch and the wait staff are wonderful. We had their Onion Rings for an appetizer which were very good. They are dipped in a whiskey beer batter and server with a spicy dip. They did not disappoint. I ordered the Quinoa Salad with Blackened Steak, amazing! My partner got the special which was fresh trout filet, blackened, with fresh mango/pineapple salsa. Also amazing. For dessert we ordered the chocolate brownie sundae with vanilla ice cream. OMG! Heaven in your mouth. It's just one of my favorite places. Our waiter was Huxley who was very helpful and just a really nice guy. We will definitely be going back.

So this restaurants location was the most appealing thing to us when we decided to bring everyone for dinner. The view from inside was exactly what we needed, our only desire would've been to be able to sit outside right on the water. But, everything we ordered was phenomenal and the servers were next level, too. We had a wide variety between pasta, pizza, steak, salmon, and trout and everyone was pleased! Plenty of food at a great price too.

The sauce in their $16 fettuccine alfredo tasted like cream, flour, and giving up. The chicken in it (that cost $4 extra) tasted like it was made in a kitchen that outlawed all seasonings. For $20, I expect a dish that can't be replicated with water and a bottle of Elmers glue. I've had more flavorful alfredo sauce from an MRE. The $15 burger was slightly overcooked and a little dry. But the BBQ sauce helped cover the dryness and lack of seasoning. I've had better burgers for less, but I've also paid more for worse. Same goes for the $15 chicken sandwich we ordered except it's sauce didn't help much. Overall, the burger and sandwich were OK but overpriced (especially the chicken) for what we got. On a positive note, the service and atmosphere were good. However, I would highly recommend just about anywhere else in Loudon to eat. This place doesn't even serve the best burger on 72 between hwy 11 and I-75 (their only competition is Wendy's and McDonald's).

Once the server came, we ordered appetizers, then he wanted to know what we wanted for our entree. We said we wanted to wait, as we all hate when we are eating our appetizers, and the main course comes. 3 times he came and asked us if we were ready to order. Umm. No, there are still appetizers, and yes, we told him we'd order when we were through with our appetizers. Finished the appetizers, had to ask the waiter for water 2x. Ordered main dish, our friend ordered the special which was on a chalk board when you walk in. About 5 minutes later the waiter says we're out of the special. She asked to see the menu. He didn't offer it. Our dinner came out about 2 minutes later, and she had to wait another 8-10 for her dinner. If you knew you were out of the special - wouldn't you hold the rest of the tables order so everyone could be served together? Once we all had our main course, as did our friend had to ask for steak sauce twice. Didn't see the waiter again. The hostess came by once. Once dinner was completed, the waiter brought the check and let the dirty plates on the table. The hostess came by and asked how the food was. And said "I'll get your server to clean up these dishes". Never did. Once we said No thanks for dessert - he was gone. At first we thought It's Easter Sunday - they're busy. Nope, only 3 tables full. And as we left, we noticed the special was STILL on the chalkboard. If you're out - cross it off, or erase it. Not a difficult step. The food itself was "good" but not excellent. We have been 3x now since they opened, and probably would not go back.
