    Toasted ravioli

There are limited options in Bryson City, yes. So we decided to try this spot because it's dog-friendly. We started with the toasted ravioli- deep-fried little pockets of creamy white cheese were lackluster and the marinara they were served with was so sweet it was just awful. Fettuccini Alfredo fared no better. It just wasn't special at all. The pizza was actually really good though. Go by and split a pizza with a couple of beers, and you'll be alright.

Came into Antony's Derailed for an early lunch before playing a round of golf. Lucky we go there early for lunch because we had no issue getting a table and it for sure filled up fast. Once looking at the menu they seem to focus on Italian but also have a bunch of burger options as well as other sandwich that aren't known for being Italian. After looking over the menu I went with a large order (10 piece) wings in Cajun Garlic sauce with both Ranch and Blue Cheese. Ashley and her parents went with The Deluxe Pizza. Once ordered we didn't we our waitress till we were about half way done with our meal so drinks didn't get refilled. I don't think was fully her fault though because we were the only table she has that was in her section. Once our food came out the wings looked good. They were large wings for sure but the sauce was kinda plan/bland. For being called Cajun Garlic you didn't get a lot of either flavor. I will said though on a positive the blue cheese was great. They give you a big serving of it and there we big pieces of actual blue cheese in it too. Ashley said the pizza was good but wasn't really hot more like just warm which was kind of a bummer. I will say we were moving quick though since we had a tee time to catch so we didn't too too much about asking if they could heat it back up. All and all Anthony's Derailed was just fine. Was very convenient for us but I probably wouldn't go back but that's more so because there are so many amazing options in Downtown Bryson City.

Absolutely amazing food.... So good and fresh we didn't take a pic till it was almost done. The ranch is made here and it's heavenly!! We got the Appalachian sampler... all were cooked perfectly then got a pizza to go to the house since we filled up on the sampler.

Service was good. The burger and fries were good. The spaghetti and meatballs was just ok. Cool spot to eat if you want to watch the train passing.

We had the caprese salad & a pepperoni pizza & both were amazing! Service was fast and friendly!

After a 20 mile mountain bike trail ride we were starved & craving some good pizza. Ordered take out from Anthony's & got friendly service & a piping hot DELICIOUS pepperoni, mushroom & onion pizza. It was still hot when we got back to our cabin 10 minutes later. Pizza is my favorite food, I eat it A LOT & this one did not disappoint. I Highly recommend them!

Wait staff does a great job. You can hear them working the room apologizing for the delays in getting food to the table. We split a combination pizza. It was good except for the fact that they pulled it about three minutes too early. The center was under cooked. I've read a lot of the comments about the kitchen being over whelmed. In looking at the menu, it's just too large. Either be an appetizer, sandwich, salad and burger joint, or focus on pizza, salads and appetizers. No way should it take 42 minutes to get one pizza to a table when half the seats in the restaurant are empty. And for the love on Mike, why do restaurants push their waitstaff to cover tables inside and out when they have 5 ladies on the floor at one time. Let them focus a section of the restaurant.

Too much of this and not enough toppings. I'd eaten into each piece a bit too.

It's difficult to get a great meal in Bryson City. I was attracted to Anthony's Derailed due to their claim of their pizza dough being made fresh daily. I got The Greek pizza to go. It was just ok, not all that great. I appreciate the freshly made dough but unfortunately the pie was mostly dough and not very much of the olive oil, cheese and toppings. So, when I call and order a pizza to go that I pick up at an outdoor window, I don't feel like I should have to tip. An employee is dedicated to the take out window and all he does is answer the phone and tell the pizza maker what you ordered and then ring you up and hand you your pizza. This man at the window was nice but suggested a tip and told me that it would be split with the pizza maker and salad maker. He really watched closely as I filled out my slip. So my expensive pizza got even more expensive when I added it in that tip. So is this place not paying the man at the window and the pizza and salad makers a regular wage?

The pizza wasn't great. Service was decent. We got seated in the back near the pool table which was kind of drafts.

Do they allow dogs in outside seating?

Yes there is a small section near the bar outside on the porch where dogs are allowed, but I think it is also the smoking section.

CJ's Grilling ended up being one of the few places we visited twice during our Fourth of July road…read moretrip through Bryson City, and that's saying something. Our first visit was great. They had a young one-man musician performing, and while I can't remember his name, he did an excellent job. He honestly ended up being our favorite live entertainment of the entire trip. His performance was one of the reasons we wanted to come back. On our second visit for the Fourth of July, we were excited to catch the advertised live band. The sign said they would start at 7:30, but they were just beginning to set up at that time and didn't look close to playing until much later. We were also a little disappointed that Friday karaoke wasn't happening because of the holiday weekend. We had really been looking forward to it. That said, the food absolutely made up for it. The chicken wings were outstanding--easily some of the best wings we had during our trip. The pork rinds were another surprise favorite and are perfect for sharing while enjoying a drink. CJ's has that laid-back, small-town mountain vibe that's easy to appreciate. If you're passing through Bryson City, it's a great place to stop, relax, and grab some food and drinks. My only recommendation is to call ahead if you're planning your evening around karaoke or live music, just to make sure the schedule is accurate. We'll definitely stop back the next time we're in Bryson City. Great food, friendly atmosphere, and a place that's worth checking out.

We stopped by Bryson City Brewing on the Fourth of July during our 2026 North Carolina road trip,…read moreand it was a fun place to spend part of the evening. The brewery itself has a great setup with both indoor and outdoor seating, a full liquor bar in addition to their beers, and a stage for live music. It's in a perfect downtown location, making it easy to walk around Bryson City and explore everything nearby before or after your visit. We tried the Brussels sprouts appetizer along with a couple of their local beers, and both were really good. The only thing that missed the mark for us was the live band that night. Music is incredibly subjective, and they're probably a great fit for many people, but the style just wasn't what we were expecting. Coming from Tampa, we're spoiled with an amazing local music scene and were hoping for something with a little more variety and crowd interaction. Ironically, the highlight of the performance was an adorable little girl who got up and danced her heart out--she absolutely stole the show with her energy and had everyone smiling! After the fireworks, the brewery was hosting an after-party, which looked like a great way to keep the celebration going. Overall, I wouldn't let one band's performance influence my opinion of Bryson City Brewing. The venue, atmosphere, food, drinks, and location all made for a great experience. If you're visiting Bryson City, I'd absolutely recommend stopping in. Looking forward to seeing a different band the next time I'm in town!

Built in 1920, it is a throw back to another era. Wooden walls created from lumber from the smokies. Beautiful lobby and grounds that make you seem miles away from Byson City. When you are actually blocks away from the cutest town in North Carolina. We are treated like family, welcomed in the dining room and treated like family, in general. Since my husband and I seek out "restored historical bed and breakfasts or Inns" this is one of our favorites. Dinner and Breakfast are included with your stay. These meals are not the kind you find at a regular motel; these are cooked to order meals. Fruit, eggs, potatoes, grits, country ham, etc for breakfast and for dinner, oh wow. I have had lamb shank each time I have eaten here, and it is wonderful. One night I had prime rib, and I could cut it with a bread knife. My only regret is this. In the 40's and 30's trains used to bring people in to stay at the INN. The INN had a band and dancing, and people dressed up like a Bing Crosby movie. Every time I stay there, I feel that atmosphere. Sorry, no band. How do I know so much about the Fryemont? I read the walls and books of letters, menus and other such documentation that line the walls. One more thing, there is a small bar, and the bar tender looks, and I think acts like Bobby Knight. If you don't order your drink quickly enough, he might throw a chair at you. Kidding, he is good fun..
