    Mimosas ( Cranberry and pineapple)

This restaurant/bar has such a cool vibe! Relaxed atmosphere, outgoing staff and delicious food make this a place I know we will be back to when in town! They have tables and booths inside as well as a bar area you can sit at to order food and drink. We went on a Saturday morning, right as they opened at 11 for brunch. Naturally, we had to get mimosas since it's in the book of brunch etiquette) but they do offer plenty of other options for drinks as they have a full bar, local beers, wine and seltzers to pick from. The menu was a little small for brunch but great options. I had the Bacon and the fixins'( blt on the softest roll ever) and he had the Mama Fried ( chicken and waffles) We were served quickly ans the waiter came back often to check in. They are open and serve from their maim menu until 2 am. Next time in town, we will head here late for drinks and food!! Do yourself a favor and pop in to check them out!

Breadhead Tiki Shak is a new restaurant in Sylva with a big name and a big menu! We were looking for somewhere to eat the day before Thanksgiving and there weren't many places open in town but luckily Breadhead was open and had one table left open! We had a very nice server who was patient while we took a pretty long time to look through the menu. For my drink I ordered the Zombie which tasted exactly like a Zombie drink, it was delicious and quite strong. For food I ordered the Korean corn dogs to start and then the shrimp tacos blackened for my meal. Being a newer restaurant (I think they are only a few weeks since opening) I know typically there are a few things they need to work out. I was surprised they had it together as much as they did! The Korean corn dogs were probably my least favorite but they seemed to be rushed as the cheese wasn't totally melted. It was however crispy on the outside and it had so much potential to be good. The shrimp tacos were delicious but the shrimp was not at all blackened or at least I wouldn't have called it blackened. The tacos themselves have tons of flavor and the shrimp complemented it perfectly. The sweet potato fries were the correct choice, they were so good and spoke for themselves..... they even reheated well!!! I cannot wait to come back and try Breadheads again when I am back in town, I have a feeling this place will become a great addition to the Sylva community!

I can't say enough good things about this special spot. The food is ON POINT, The drinks are so fun and every week they have cool events. It's such a comfortable and fun environment. Great for families Durring the day and such a good time late night. The service is top notch and they have the best poke this side of the mountain. It's just what this town needed! We were able to sit at the creek, which was just lovely and relaxing. Our server arrived quickly, brought ice cold drinks just as quickly and was fantastic throughout our visit. Everything we ordered was delicious (tacos, burger, fries, collards). We don't live in Sylva but pass through regularly. We will absolutely be back soon!

First, let's address the only downside: my burger was slightly overcooked. The server was very kind and attentive, but by the time she came back around to check on us, it felt a little late to send it back. I decided to remove the meat and enjoy the rest of the burger -- and surprisingly, it was still very good. My only hope for next time is that everything comes out cooked exactly as intended. Now for the positives -- because there are plenty. The wait time was excellent. We didn't have to wait for a table, and the food came out in a timely manner. That level of efficiency definitely adds to the overall experience. This restaurant is clearly operating at a high level. The location is great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and everything feels well-managed. You can tell there's pride behind what they're doing. We ordered The Goat Burger with Crispy Buttered Taters and started with the Fried Deviled Eggs. The fried deviled eggs were a standout. They had a salty base with a slight kick of heat, and the pickled onions brought in a sweet, tangy balance that elevated the dish. The salty-sweet combination worked beautifully together. A strong appetizer choice. As for The Goat Burger -- aside from being slightly overcooked -- the flavor was impressive. The patty was well seasoned, and the fried goat cheese paired with bacon created a rich, savory profile that complemented the crispy buttered taters perfectly. Everything worked cohesively on the plate. Even after removing the meat, the toppings and structure still delivered strong flavor. The food was absolutely worth the money. I left feeling full and satisfied without feeling overly heavy, which is always a plus. This is a place I will go back to again and again. I would confidently recommend it to others -- great location, good food, good people, and solid service. They also offer wine and beer for those who want to enjoy a drink with their meal. Overall, a very strong experience. I'm looking forward to coming back -- and next time, I'm hoping everything comes out cooked perfectly.

One side is for pickup the other is the side down restaurant. Since we were dining in we ended up at the Quirky Bird side. They have and out door patio and a picnic table or 2. We ended up at the picnic table since we had our dogs with us. We order drinks I had a Coors. I also noticed when I went inside they had a full bar with a decent amount of bourbon. Was surprised to see Weller 12 there for such a small place. They had a couple sandwiches which I was interested in but went with the Winner! Winner! Chicken Dinner! which is breaded chicken, Munster Cheese, avocado, arugula, Blueberry Compote, on a Ciabatta Bun. I will say the service was a bit slow with drink refills and getting us out our food. Though we understood because the train had arrived at the time we were there and there was a lot going on at the take out side and were where at the furthest table away. I will say when our food came out it was pretty good. My chicken sandwich was was lightly breaded and the Blueberry Compote really brought everything together. We even got take out from here later this week and the Chicken Casserole Wrap was also good.

It normally comes with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and special sauce. I didn't want a mayonnaise based sauce....trying to cut some calories since I'm already having a deep fried sandwich! My only gripe is that when I get a sandwich at a restaurant, I expect some type of side dish. It could be a small amount of fries or some potato chips but something. R&R has lots of good sides so they could offer some free fries but then encourage up charge sides for one of their delicious options like their truffle fries. The ribs were well-cooked, the portions were generous, and the service was great. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food arrived promptly. The mac and cheese, fries, and coleslaw were all enjoyable and complemented the meal well. That said, we're giving it 3 out of 5 stars. While the food was good, we felt the selection of sides was somewhat limited compared to other barbecue restaurants. Our biggest disappointment was the barbecue sauce. The sauces were very thin, and because of that, they didn't really cling to the ribs. We personally prefer a thicker, richer sauce that stays on the meat and adds more flavor with each bite. Despite those points, we still had a pleasant experience and can see why many people enjoy this spot. Good food, good service, and a solid barbecue stop if you're in the area.
