Breadhead's just opened about 2 months ago in downtown Sylva and we are very excited to have them here. We were walking around downtown and saw the sign and new we had to check them out. I love what they did with the inside. They really are making it look like a Tiki Shak and I love that. I will say they don't open till 3:00PM so they are not open of lunch. We started off with drinks they have the Tiki drinks you would expect. I went with the Polynesian which was a bourbon based cocktail but for sure has the island vibes. I really enjoyed it. We also had to get the Korean Corndogs for an appetizer since they are one of our favorites and you can't find them often. I will say these could use some work. I was a fan of the batter and sauce but they for sure didn't get cooked long enough. The cheese had no pull and was warm at best. For my entrée I technically went with and appetizer that being the Pork Nacho Mountain and let me tell you it was for sure a mountain. This was a massive serving with plenty of pulled pork, queso, and housemade potato chips. I'm a real sucker for homemade chips. The only thing I would change is maybe putting the ranch on the said because it times it was a little much. Ashley had the Blackened Shrimp Tacos. She liked them but did say the shrimp could have for sure used more blackeneding seasonings. Breadhead Tiki Shak s for sure a good spot for food and drinks whether that being in the afternoon or even late night.

Breadhead Tiki Shak is a new restaurant in Sylva with a big name and a big menu! We were looking for somewhere to eat the day before Thanksgiving and there weren't many places open in town but luckily Breadhead was open and had one table left open! We had a very nice server who was patient while we took a pretty long time to look through the menu. For my drink I ordered the Zombie which tasted exactly like a Zombie drink, it was delicious and quite strong. For food I ordered the Korean corn dogs to start and then the shrimp tacos blackened for my meal. Being a newer restaurant (I think they are only a few weeks since opening) I know typically there are a few things they need to work out. I was surprised they had it together as much as they did! The Korean corn dogs were probably my least favorite but they seemed to be rushed as the cheese wasn't totally melted. It was however crispy on the outside and it had so much potential to be good. The shrimp tacos were delicious but the shrimp was not at all blackened or at least I wouldn't have called it blackened. The tacos themselves have tons of flavor and the shrimp complemented it perfectly. The sweet potato fries were the correct choice, they were so good and spoke for themselves..... they even reheated well!!! I cannot wait to come back and try Breadheads again when I am back in town, I have a feeling this place will become a great addition to the Sylva community!

I can't say enough good things about this special spot. The food is ON POINT, The drinks are so fun and every week they have cool events. It's such a comfortable and fun environment. Great for families Durring the day and such a good time late night. The service is top notch and they have the best poke this side of the mountain. It's just what this town needed! So thankful for the owners bringing such a cool spot to downtown Sylva.

I came alone and sometimes as a solo female at a bar you feel uncomfortable but bartender made me feel welcome from the start. I ordered a Chicago beef sandwich. It was adequate...Mediocre.... When I think of a Chicago beef sandwich the first thing I think of is pepperoncini and/or au jus but it had neither. But it was decent, kind of like a thing you might grab & go on the road somewhere.... edible but you're not thinking about it afterwards. The sandwiches come with french fries but I got the Greek pasta salad instead. I should've got the french fries because I paid $2 up charge for weak pasta salad. But the reason I'm still giving it 4 stars was that it's a nice local bar. Clientele chatty. My bartender was very cool. I didn't get his name (young, blond, skater type) friendly, welcoming. If you're looking to have some drinks with friends and play pool, I think it's a perfect place, but have dinner first before you get here.

The waitress was apologetic for the delay, it wasn't her fault, not sure what was going on in the kitchen, but many customers were upset about the slow meal preparation. Update!!! We could walk here if we wanted and we are big fans of that. We came in when they had first opened so they were still figuring things out which I completely understand plus the hurricane coming through recently did help either. Looking over the menu they have a lot of your typical bar/pub options but a few you don't always find too. Looking for the drinks I was able to find my classic for Sylva but with a new name this time. At the Junction Pub it goes by the Loose Caboose which is a shot (for me Whiskey of course) and a beer which I picked Busch Light. You can't beat it. Our waitress brought our drinks and we ordered. I ended up going with the wings (12) tossed in Honey Sriracha. Our food came out pretty quickly which was nice. The sauce for the wings was good. Spicy with a nice sweetness but not overly sweet which can sometimes happen. For sure still had the kick I wanted. The wings for the most part were good. Cooked perfectly and nice and crispy. I will say I few of them were on the smaller side but you also got some monsters too to even it out. The service was excellent, and our waitress was extremely friendly and help us with questions throughout our meal. For sure a nice local pub we will be coming to often.

For example, I love the meatball over polenta appetizer but there is such a small amount of polenta. And for the price, it would be nice to be have a little more pasta served with the entrees. I've never gotten a doggie bag here because the portions are small and after spending over $100 for 2, it would be nice to have a little bit of leftovers. That said, food is delicious and obviously all homemade. Cocktail selection is very unique, hip and good. Service is excellent and the servers really know their stuff! Service

We also tried the mussels, mushroom fettuccine and a rabbit dish that I'm totally forgetting the name of. The rabbit dish was amazing but it had too much salt. The mushroom fettuccine on the other hand was lacking something, it didn't have that umami flavor to it. However, both were really good selections and you could tell that the pasta was handmade. As for the mussels they were good, but I probably wouldn't order them again. Our server was wonderful and the inside of Ilda is super cute! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends, but I think you need to make a reservation in advance. Also - give yourself some time to find parking ahead of time - they don't have a designated lot.
