I get that owners are making up for the Covid deficits-- but I get very irritated seeing them. $2.99 for bottled water, 4% charge on credit cards, skimping on the shrimp. If I could give this place a 0 I would!! I placed an order to go and when I arrived they had no idea I had placed an order since their printer was apparently broken. After finding my order and waiting around for it to be done they forgot an order of French Fries. Once that was done when I arrived home, opened my order the whole thing was wrong. I have food allergies asked for no pepper and sauce on the side, unfortunately this was not done and my food was inedible. I called the restaurant spoke to Shelby who was not even nice or apologetic just yelled something about there are signs in the restaurant saying check your order before leaving. I don't think that's any way to treat a customer. There is no customer service at this restaurant. When eating out I will not ever return here or their other 2 restaurants in town. read more

We dropped in for lunch. This is a small but cozy diner style set up and their menu includes burgers, wraps, salads and some local unique appetizers and entrées. I couldn't resist the debris fries with slow roasted beef and horseradish sauce - a perfect small appetizer serving to satisfy my debris fry craving. Where to begin... It was just me, my wife and our niece, I ordered the debris fries and wife ordered the crawfish nachos, both came out ice cold! I asked for mine to be reheated. Only one server for the entire upstairs. Wife asked for a glass of water and was given a $3 bottle of water. Our To Go order of crab cakes was forgotten and when they finally came they were paper thin and burnt (2 for $15!!). And of course there was an up charge for paying with a debit card and I think they included the tip!! So, for just 3 of us, 2 of which just ordered apps and a couple beers, the total was over $100 for cold food. Obviously we will never darken their doorstep again. No kids menus here and they were going to up charge me five dollars to share with the youngest. No more food for that (I asked) just five dollars cuz they can. Order was wrong wife got fries instead of chips the fries btw are not great they're not even just ok tbh. The waffle was good the chicken needs some work. The Philly cheese steak was also good but others places have better food without up charges also. We asked for one tiny cup of ranch for the chips and they charged us 50 cents. Really ? Service was ok the wrong order aside. Obviously no one is taste testing last weeks tea before they serve it. The food "is" good but for the price I think we can do better the next time we eat out. Wife and I ate lunch here today and we were 100% satisfied in all aspects of our experience. We were waited on promptly by a friendly young lady with a good attitude! The wife ordered the burger of the month special and she was extremely satisfied! Just me looking at it all I could think was it was huge! For me it was the crab cake burger. Quaint atmosphere and lovely staff. Loved the view from the dining upstairs and everything was decorated with Christmas cheer. I ordered the Portabella Swiss burger, I really wanted to like it... But it was a total disaster to eat. It was huge and soggy so I ended up scraping the oversized, un-toasted bun off and just eating the mushroom and black beans. I had read about Slick Rick's before we went to Natchez and knew we needed to go. My wife had the Crabcake Salad and she said that, even though it was a bit spicy, she did enjoy it. She gave me a bite and I thought it was very good too - and I don't normally eat crab! It was hard for me to decide what to get, but I ended up choosing the "Triple Bypass" - 3 kinds of Pork. Their blending of pork loin, bacon and ham in one sandwich was a very tasty combination. If we had had more time, I would have liked to go back for the Double Bacon Cheeseburger (my second choice). It's large enough to share, but I killed the whole thing myself. Chicken salad on a croissant was good too --- came with a very generous side salad. Small place with counter service and a few seats upstairs. Modern decor and fun vibe. I do agree with other reviews I have read here -- service seemed unreasonably slow for what we ordered. Everything is fresh with spices and dressings which they make themselves. Ranch dressing was the best I've ever had. My wife got Crawfish Bread which was great. I got the Triple Bypass. It's a triple decker sandwich and despite the name, it isn't unhealthy. The Triple Decker made with pork loin, ham, bacon, spring mix lettuce, tomato, and some kind of dressings was fantastic. We visit Natchez a weekend each year and we always hit Slick Rick's once for lunch. read more

UPDATE: Slick Rick's contacted me expressing their concern that we be treated well and apologizing for not measuring up. The restaurant is determined to make things right. I'm convinced they place a high value on providing both good food and quality service. ------------ My wife and I have been eating to Slick Rick's ever since we moved to Natchez over a year ago. She became a regular, in fact, visiting the restaurant at least once per week. It was her favorite lunch spot. Whenever we talk about going out for lunch, "Slick Rick's" are always (ALWAYS) the first words out of her mouth, including today. And we've never had a problem...until today. The burger (we had a chili burger) was not cooked to her liking, so we sent it back, only to have it returned with little change in the degree of wellness. Not only that, the chili had been scraped off. As if that's not bad enough, I felt as if we were treated in an offhanded manner with little concern for our satisfaction. When we took the burger back the second time, we were told that it was fully cooked. It felt like a patronizing response that, again, showed little concern for our well-being as customers. That might be okay for a fast food chain, but for a gourmet burger served a what I consider to be a class act establishment, it's unacceptable. In the words of Marshall Fields: "Give the lady what she wants." Not a bad motto to live by if you're in retail. Slick Rick's failed didn't live up to that today. read more
