I hadnt been to this place in quite a while and I will most likely not go back because of service. I tried to call an order in and got placed on hold twice waiting 5 minutes each time, I finally was able to place my order. When I got there, the server barely spoke. When I checked my order, I told her an item on there was not right and told her what I had ordered. She asked what salad dressing and she shut the window and got the salad. I told her there were supppsed. To be extra fries and she just looked at me without addressing what I said and shit the window back. Rude and horrible service. Tried this spot on a Friday afternoon (party of 3) We all ordered the catfish platters. . 2 large and 1 regular fried pickles, and fried okra. The pickles and fried okra were delicious!!! Seasoning was on point, and both were HOT! Now on to the fish, it was cut not too thick and not to thin. I would have preferred more seasoning, but the cocktail sauce was good so it worked out. Neither of us cared for the cole slaw. It's shredded thick and very bland. It does have the potential to be good with some tweaking. I didn't try the hushpuppies. I've been craving an oyster po boy for a while now so decided to try Redtop seafood. I called in an order for the poboy and an order of Rotel fries. The menu said waffle fries covered with Rotel dip. Well the fries were not waffle fries, which was ok, but the dip was so thin and runny that it was just tomatoes with peppers on top. The little cheese puddled on the bottom. This was $9.95! As for the oyster poboy, there were so few oysters on it that I really couldn't taste them over the Mayo and tomato. Fortunately they use a good Mayo. I would have preferred paying more for my sandwich and actually having enough oyster on it that I could taste. I paid $12.95 for what amounted to a tomato sandwich. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the food. They only reason they got more than one star is because the food was ready five minutes faster than they said on the phone. read more

Outstanding fried food. I got the catfish and shrimp combo for takeout. After ordering at the counter, I had Just over 15 minutes wait, and then I was able to pick up my order at the window. The shrimp was phenomenal (huge, crunchy and perfectly cooked) and the strips of catfish were delicate with a delightful crust that worked perfectly with the tartar sauce. Hush puppies had a nice exterior crunch and a tender insides with corn meal and jalapeños (I believe) to give it just a hint of a punch. I'm normally not a fan of coleslaw, but this was amazing. Not over-dressed (like most are), huge crunch of the cabbage, nice onion flavor and seasoning. Staff was quite friendly. read more
