Apparently, this is a very popular take out seafood restaurant. We ate on the porch outside. My wife had a fish rap that she loved. My oyster po boy was very good. We had been there before, and it was good then and it is good now. You order your food at the window and they call your name when it's ready or they bring it to you on the porch. read more

After ordering was told to wait 15 min. Went to my car and to wait returned. After 15min went paid for food and made it to work less than a min away . Open the plate fries were not hot fish was not hot so I'm trying to figure out y did I have to wait 15 min for food that apparently had been cooked hours earlier.. very disappointing.. There are always negative comments made to any business as people have bad experiences. In all the years I have been getting take out here, I have never had them to be discourteous. The food has always been just right, whatever I get. Only one time did we have a mix up. I called, we took it back, and it got corrected. I call in my order, and it is ready when I get there. If I could give zero stars I would!!! The staff was rude and unwelcoming and the food was terrible. Everything on my plate was burnt. As I type this review I still have a bad burnt taste in my mouth. The catfish was so burnt I couldn't even taste any fish only batter, the hush puppies were disgusting, the boiled shrimp was cold, the crab cake was burnt, the fries were burnt and the coleslaw taste like vinegar. Been going since I was probably 5 years old. The place has been going down-hill for a while, but after 3 consecutive awful experiences, I hate this place these days. They've gotten the same order wrong the last 3 times I called it in, whether malice or incompetence, I don't know. Fish House is long past concerning themselves with quality or happy customers, so all I can say is choose a better place to eat, this is NOT the Natchez Fish House I grew up enjoying, it's just a disappointment. read more

Really disappointed! Waited 50 minutes, although they were busy, only to find out they lost our order! Food was hot, the only reason for the 2 stars! Everyone, if you decide to eat out, please check your food before you start feeding your face !!. Me and my family spend many $$ at The Fish House in Natchez and to be insulted like I was a second ago, is totally unacceptable !! While dipping and eating, I found a "BIG" deceased fly in my sauce that I had been eating for a short while with my food. I took the sauce and food back to the restaurant and requested a refund. The owner told me no, and as a result said that he hand dip and inspects everything before he give to the customers. I in return told him that I appreciated that to the fullest , but things happen. He later stated, besides, the fly could have come from you. So, after a few deep breath, I said with all respect Sir/ Ma'am, I am only requesting my money back and that I was not trying to make issues for them. They later examine the food picking it up with their hands and says, well you ate this and you ate that, and again began to show me the sign in the window that says check your food before you leave. I later asked them if they expected me to stir up the sauce before I left the premises! After continuing to plead my case with the owners, they refused to give the refund. What happened to customers are always right?‍.. After going back and forth with them and not making any progress to get my $38 refund, he later offered me $10! I smiled and told them to just keep it, and that we will not be returning!! His last words to me were , "THAT WILL BE GREAT!!"It wasn't so much that I had the "BIG" dead fly in my food/sauce because I do understand that things happen, but the rudeness I encountered after bringing the issue to their attention!
