Blown away!! Best food and hospitality I've experienced in months. Calling all tourists--if you don't know if you'll like crawfish, trust me you will. If you came down the Trace keep going and don't stop until you reach C & M. Thank you C & M for a memorable experience.

Best, food, experience from Nashville to Natchez. Definitely keep driving, across the bridge and experience the best boil, ever. Get the crawfish plate and roll your sleeves up. Over the top southern, hospitality. Love. This. Place.

Super flavorful food and friendly staff. I dislike having to pay for butter, but it was worth it. The flavor profile is pot on.

Awesome place for seafood. My favorite is of course crawfish. The crab legs and shrimp are amazing as well.

As soon as we walked in the service was really good! It was really nice inside! They were super friendly and fast! I got the grilled shrimp and they were seasoned very well! My boyfriend go the butterfly fried shrimp and he said it was really good as well! I tried and shrimp an it was seasoned well! Not too salty or anything just right! The hushpuppies he had were also good too! It's a really nice spot to stop if you're in the Natchez area!

Raw next time. Had the catfish LeBeaux and it was ok - a large portion. I'm not a fan of etoufee on top of fried food as the fried batter quickly becomes soggy. I should have ordered blackened as it might have been better. The etoufee was thick and bland. Luckily they had hot sauce on the table which made it better. Not sure why they don't have any cayenne in the etoufee recipe. Accompanying bread stick was stale. Tried the famous Alligator and Shrimp cheesecake. It was ok. Very rich and interesting flavor. The Yelp highly recommended plantation cake is no longer on the menu.

They didn't have cornbread (a little disappointing), but the hush puppies made a great substitute and soaked everything up perfectly. I also tried the boudin balls, which were flavorful and tasty, though I felt they leaned a little too heavy on the rice and could've used more meat. Still, very enjoyable overall. The staff was friendly and kind. Service was straightforward--no extra chatter or banter, which I do think is something missing from today's dining experience, especially with younger staff. If you leave here hungry, that's on you! I'd definitely come back the next time we're on this side of town.

I was disappointed that they were out of the cornbread which sounded great. When I asked what yum yum sauce was the delightful waitress brought me a sample to try. They named it well! Yum yum! Since they were out of the cornbread she recommended the half and half potato which had yum yum sauce on it. It was delicious! The owner was there and he promised me there would be cornbread if I came back today for lunch they would have some. I did - they didn't! :-( I will have to try again when I am back in August. The restaurant is cute and you feel like a guest in someone's home. I will definitely be back.

It's clean, a little small but it's homey. Service was right there, super friendly!! The other customers sitting near us chatted with us, talked about what there is to do in Marksville. We had the Crawfish Etoufee and it was crazy good!! Best I've ever had! Came with a salad and bread. We both brought the salad to go because it's pretty big, fresh mixed greens tomato slices cheese cucumbers and croutons. That's an impressive side salad. Talked with Stephens the younger who cooks. Our waitress was friendly attentive and busy! This is another place we are going back to, another place that rates more than five stars! We really had fun, couldn't have had a better time!!

It's the kind of eatery where the waitresses call you "baby" which is a respected Deep South Tradition. I ordered the 1/2 po boy & 1/2 gumbo lunch with a side dish (I chose baked potato salad) for $14. The food arrived about 10 minutes later. My sandwich was a grilled shrimp po boy on bread that tasted like it was from Gambino's. It was very good taste wise and I enjoyed it. Ditto on the cup of seafood gumbo with shrimp in it and with a good tasting roux too. Finally the baked potato salad was creamy, cool and flavorful. Altogether this was a very good meal. On the front door is a sign saying that they charge an extra 4% for credit card usage. Also, on my check were two prices, one for cash and the other for credit. While I detest restaurants that charge extra for credit card usage, I will give Gumbo Pot credit in that they clearly disclose that fee on the door and on the bill but I still hate it.
