The server was polite and attentive. We asked about allergy issues & the server got the manager & she helped us figure out what was safe for the other guest to order. This is a wonderful brunch spot! Staff seated us quickly in the outside tent, which is very charming. Highly recommend starting with their Bloody Mary. Delicious flavor and garnished with okra. The shrimp and grits were delicious. I usually shy away from sandwiches because I'm allergic to yeast, but The cook made me the breakfast burger on a biscuit. Yum!! We ate Sunday brunch here as well as a weekday breakfast and were impressed both times. Chloe was our waitress for both visits and she handled the large Sunday crowd as easily as she did our quiet week day morning. Portions were good, the menu varied and accommodating of a variety of appetites and the food well-prepared. The grits were some of the best I've had in the south - I had my favorite grits with a fried egg on top (southern girl now living in the mid-west and missing good grits!). The outdoor seating was comfortable although we had the good fortune of delightful spring weather. It's a small local place that you might just walk by - but don't. Probably the best place for breakfast when in Natchez. Close to the riverwalk for some scenic views and to walk out those calories,too :) we were here on a relatively busy Saturday morning but service speed was still relatively unimpacted. Huge outdoor patio with seemingly locals and regulars only. Anything you choose to eat is so good! For starters this little local breakfast joint is ADORABLE! Very rustic and homey! It went perfect with the southern home cooked menu. We went during "Boozy brunch" time and I got the "Stump Jumper" with a mimosa & it was absolutely phenomenal! My husband got the omelet and it was HUGE. Omelet was cooked to perfection. We enjoyed a morning coffee and their style of beignets but they have a lot of other options if you are looking for something more substantial. Our server was kind enough to immediately get a water bowl for our dog (after walking the Saturday morning Farmer's Market), so no points deducted for cocktails finally arriving med-meal. Found this little gem on the way back home and wow, I'm glad I did! I ordered the Gritbody waffle, which is a MUST ORDER!! The savory waffle was made with three cheese grits, sausage, Applewood bacon, green onion, eggs, and sharped cheddar. Practically, everything was jam packed inside the waffle and it was so yumm. It also came with a side of cheddar cream and honey pecan Brussel sprouts. I also ordered the motherclucker chicken sandwich. The sandwich was a buttermilk chicken on a toasted brioche bread, black pepper mayonnaise, homemade bread & butter pickles with a butter leaf leaf. Simple it may look, the combination and flavor was on point. I suggest making it a Buffalo hot chicken or ordering a side of sausage gravey to dip the sandwich if you want extra extra flavor. I didn't look carefully at the bill until after we left and started thinking that the total was a little high. I only really saw one girl taking orders, taking bills, bringing menus , bring food, and while working the bar aswell. And with this became slower service. The look is a nice relaxing place , pet friendly . I ordered chicken and waffles and cheese grits . 16$ plus whatever the grits was. The chicken was a half breast with no taste , the waffle had some sort of spicy syrup on it and the grits tasted like a monkeys a$$. None of us could eat them. Not sure what was going on with them. And from the looks of the dishes , no one else did Ether. The Guda fries were pretty decent but Guda on anything is good . No soft drinks available but the sweet tea was good. 8:30 a.m. Saturday I walked in and got a table. There was a couple seated outside and 2 tables of 2 inside, one of those tables was almost done eating when I arrived. Service was SLOW despite there being 3 women that appeared to be servers. I was pretty much ignored for 5 minutes before I got a menu. Once I placed my order it didn't take that long to receive my food. It was possibly the worst breakfast I've had. I ordered the breakfast bowl and there was no seasoning at all, NONE. The potatoes were obviously not freshly made. They were dark and unappealing, not crispy at all. The eggs were cooked perfectly, hence the 2 stars, just no seasoning. I was very disappointed in this place. Out of fairness I will say the 2 men that came in after me got very fast service but it appeared one of the servers knew one of the men. read more

Wow! The food here is incredible! If you have the good fortune of traveling through Natchez this is a must stop. First, the food is a cohesive blend of southern and Caribbean flavors, think pecan crusted jerk chicken. We got the Chicken Cheddar Biscuit and English Surf and Turf. I loved both, and especially loved the peas and carrots in the herb country gravy, whoever thought of that had a stroke of genius. The surf and turf was also not to miss and was complimented nicely by the sweet pickled onions. The coffee and drink menu was extensive, could see myself sitting here all day. Besides the great food the environment is refreshing. There's outside and indoor seating + a bar. The staff and owners check in frequently. This was very disappointing, since the reviews are so good and the place looks very nice and comfortable. We let the bar know we were there, and they said to sit anywhere, but warned us that it will be a while. Not a great greeting...but we sat and waited. It did take a while, but the waitress was very friendly and apologized and said they're doing the best they can. As we sat, I felt bad for them and wondered if the restaurant world would ever be staffed properly again after Covid. Eventually, we got our coffee and placed our order. We had to flag her down for cream, which never came, so my GF went and got her own. We waited, and eventually I asked for another coffee. She explained again they were keeping up as fast as they could and the coffee was taking forever to brew(??). My second cup never came. I continued contemplating the state of restaurant service, wondering if restaurants were still paying too little to attract people in this post Covid world, but feeling sorry for the servers that were working without enough help. I'd say we sat for at least 40-45 minutes after placing our order, wondering if we should just leave, when our server came over and said they were out of one of the ingredients for my GF's omelet, to which my GF asked "you mean they haven't even started cooking it yet?" The server somehow tried to say they were somehow cooking her omelet (but without one ingredient?), so we said we'll just pay for our coffee and leave. Here's when our server set a new low in my dining experiences: She gestured to the tables around us and said: "You see these tables here and how crowded it is inside? Well, there are even more tables on the other side, and we're just trying to keep up." So...now we know they have a very bad business model with a limited output kitchen with way too many tables, and a server that has completely lost our sympathy, so we again said we'd leave. To this, she looked at her watch and explained that since most places around here don't even open until noon, we would have a very long wait anywhere else we went. Really? That did it, we put some money under our coffee cups and left. We walked into town and enjoyed a nice breakfast there. For the record, in case the owners read this: This was the morning of Oct 1, 2022, and we were sitting on the front/side patio. This server needs training. Or a job at a fast food joint. It doesn't matter if people had called off or what the problem was. Telling us that any other place around would SUCK as badly as this place does is really not a good policy. read more

When we arrived we were not greeted. Stood at the bar where the sign said to be seated. Since no one helped us, we seated ourselves. There were only 4 tables full with each two people at them when we walked in so they were not over packed. It took forever for someone to bring a menu and water. Then again long wait for our orders to be placed. We didn't get our coffee and hot chocolate until we got our food. People that walked in way after us got their coffee before us. Two people that possibly work there walked in the kitchen talking to the Chef the whole time meanwhile customers are waiting for service. The chef was talking on on phone part the time. Meanwhile the other girl was busting her tail working. They forgot to make my son's food, so we had to wait on it. Food was good.
