Fun Once You're In, But Be Prepared for a Rough Start The check-in process really needs improvement. Even on a slow Monday, the line was long and painfully slow due to limited staff. Noah at the front desk was doing his absolute best (props to him!), but he was alone and clearly overwhelmed. Management -- give this guy some help! Heads up: the Groupon doesn't cover taxes or socks, so be ready to pay about $15 extra per person at the door. That wasn't clearly mentioned anywhere, which felt a bit sneaky. Once inside, the experience is much better. The slides are amazing -- well-designed, clean, and surprisingly varied. The bounce zones are split into dodgeball and basketball, which is fun, though some supervision or age separation would make it safer. There's a great toddler area (under 3.5 ft), but not much for kids just above that height -- a bit of a gap in options. The swing jump was nostalgic and fun, but poorly managed. Only one hook for two lines made the wait unnecessarily long, and there wasn't much staff presence to keep things moving. Concessions were fine -- typical venue pricing, nothing outrageous. Overall: Worth it if you're using a Groupon or season pass, but arrive early, expect delays, and bring extra cash. Once you're in, the kids will have a blast.

We had such a great time at this place!! My husband and I had no idea it actually even existed. My kids had the time of their lives at Slick City. They have food, drinks, slides and even a small activity area for kids 3 and under which is kind of closed off just in case you have "a runner!" They also host birthday parties! The only downside to this establishment is sometimes, the kids do not exit off of the bottom of slides soon enough. I saw a few times that it caused some chaos and there many need to be staff put in each area to remind the children to "get up and keep going". However, the landing spaces are big enough for it not to cause any real threat. I am sure we will be back soon for more fun and excitement. . .OH! And there were a few areas that were shut down. Maybe because of staff shortage during the time that we went but we hope to catch all of it when we go back!

Could be really fun if major modifications were made. This may be fun for young children who don't mind aggressive play but this was actually a really painful experience for several adults. The slides where you fly off and are launched onto an inflatable landing pad - the pads are very hard and you will inevitably bonk your face/nose flat into it. Be warned. Other landing areas do not have inflatable bumpers at the end and you will inevitably slide off the landing pad into the hard floor. I rolled over my knuckles holding the sliding pad and am all swollen and bruised, whacked my foot on the edge of a slide and it hurts to walk, got a huge burn on my elbow when my arm moved off the pad after getting some serious air after one of the bumps in the slide and landing wonky, and smacked my face into the landing pad. You can follow all the rules and do your best to protect yourself but you will inevitably get hurt. 3 adults for 90 min experiences with socks was over a hundred dollars and we all left injured. It took the fun out of it. Luckily it wasn't too crowded so we didn't have to wait for a mat as other reviewers did. But the bathrooms were wet and messy and the go karts and lockers were out of order. The staff was also extremely rude and inattentive. The "attendants" at the top of the slides were on their phones instead of watching the kids and letting other customers know when it was their time to slide safely. Will not be returning and do not recommend for anyone that actually cares about safety or doesn't want to get hurt.

Grip socks like trampoline places you get from.

Double check with your children before arriving here if they are ok with the heights to slide down and that it is only face down position only. If your kids are adventurous with the adrenaline this is the place for them. You can buy tickets online, they have 2 lines, one for walk ins I showed my kids the internet influencers ad and they were sold... but when we got there they went to excitement to feeling intimidated and fear when going to the top. So they did not do a single slide. Luckily for the playground to keep them company but mom math 2 kids for almost $80 with the grip socks for 90 mins to play but ended being there for less than an hour. Also It doesn't tell you on your wrist band what time you begin or when your time is up. My rating is not based off on my kids not sliding, just what I observed how the facility operates while my kids enjoyed the playground area. They have a 2 dodgeball area that got taken up by older teens and there are 2 basketball court. One was broken I didn't realize it until I saw the court was semi inflated. They did a poor job on closing it off and no signs that say out of order. They had a gate that was supposed to block the entrance but it got knocked over. Honestly someone could've gotten hurt. Also I'm confused on the sock situation I saw the employee told another customer they need to use Slick City brand socks but when it was my turn they asked if I had my own grip socks similar to them that 'trampoline places' sell. As for the restrooms it's disgusting to take young children and everything seems broken from no toilet paper holder to rolls on the floor instead and the paper towel situation. For a new facility this bathroom looks pretty beat up and unattended. We were told it's more hectic on the weekends when there's bday parties so I can't imagine the madhouse.

Location: INSIDE Katy mills mall Parking: Plenty but there is construction on parking lot so it can be limited nearby parking Staff: friendly Wait time: 5-10 minutes, while waiting you fill out waiver if you haven't. Via QR code or kiosk Seating: limited, we went on a Sunday so it was most definitely packed! There's table seating as well as soft seating all @. Price: high, 90 minutes 3 kids and they REQUIRE to buy their socks we paid @$140 not including food or drinks. Seems like the popular thing to do as the line can be long but it does move pretty quick. After paying kids just pretty much go wild and running. As you walk in there is a kid section to your right. Lots of slides, some can be high and scary. They have mats laying all @ the park or inside buckets. Safety: I did not see any employees monitoring kids running @. Kids are everywhere and no monitoring at entrance/exit. It is inside a mall so it's easy for anyone to go in or kids to walk out. Not all slides had a person in charge. Over all kids 8 and older seemed to be able to find their way and follow rules on their own. It was way too packed for me but a great experience.

    First Time... let's go.

12/17/23 Visit to slick city new slide park at Katy mall. Was really fun with a few, Side notes. Staff were great and nice. Everything is clean for now... while it's new. - FREE electric shock therapy. I was shocked on almost every ride from friction. - Don't wear nice pants (burnt holes in mine) (see pics) - go early, right as they open. Lines got really long. - bring a bag to put stuff in or be prepared to pay $6 for a locker. - they force you to buy socks even if you bring grip socks that an extra $5 a person. - tell your kids to keep their heads up so many kids chipped teeth and banged their heads on the drop slides in only the 2 hours we were there. - Food prices... $13 bucks for a small kid pizza. Worth checking out.

Hours of fun for 20,18, 4 and 3 year old! None of us had been and we weren't sure about it. Even after walking in it seemed like the slides may have been slow and short but they ended up being a lot of fun! You do have to rent a locker so $6 for all day locker access.

We absolutely love dinosaurs so when we saw this was in town, we got tickets. You can get them…read moreonline but also get them at the door, but if they're busy, you'll need to wait, as you get an entrance time in 30 minute intervals on your tickets purchased ahead of time. They have special pricing for family tickets - minimum of 4 tickets - and those below the age of 3 are free. If you play Jurassic World Alive, there's a special incubator you can get there. This is set up OUTSIDE of Katy Mills Mall... on the parking lot, to be exact. It's fairly obvious and easy to get to. We went with our 2 young kids, ages 3 and almost 7. We watched Jurassic World 2 nights ago to be prepared and the experience largely follows that movie. You're one of the visitors to Isla Nublar and you get a VIP tour that also includes seeing the hatching room and petting baby dinosaurs - namely a parasaurolophus and ankylosaurus (Bumpy). You also see the raptor cage and even sneak past a T-Rex! No Pterosaurs though. We heard there's a chance of jump scares courtesy of Blue, BUT that didn't happen on our tour. I assume it's because our group had a lot of young kids. A bummer (we prepared our kids for any possible ones, but it didn't happen). There is a human in the Blue costume. I felt that part was fairly tame - the fog machine helped set the scene but it was still PG. Maybe even G. Overall, it was pretty fun! For about $20 per person including the discount, it wasn't bad because the animatronics were pretty impressive. Family friendly, though one kid (maybe aged 7-8?) was scared with the T-Rex. Videos and cameras are allowed, just no flash. You get many photo opportunities throughout, staff will help you with photos, and you have a chance to buy the ones you take at the beginning. They have a gift shop where most of the things are overpriced (shirts, plushies). I grabbed a magnet and some postcards. I was also tempted with the posters. The biggest thing is they clearly favor certain dinosaurs over others. My daughter's favorite is stygimoloch but other than him appearing in the tour, he had no merchandise. On the plus side, I didn't fork over $30 for a Stygi plushie or shirt. I also wish there was a jump scare to make it feel completely worth it, but it was still great fun - especially for dinosaur lovers! Got home a few hours later and my 3 year old kept on saying how the dinosaurs were fun. Expect to spend no more than an hour there though.

For example instead of touching dinosaur poop they could have had us touch the dinosaur egg or the baby dinosaurs. The dinosaur eggs should have cracked open when you pushed the button. The price of admission does not justify the experience.

We came back today, and OMG, the same slats were bent and there were even more openings. people were peeking into the stalls and giggling and laughing. The doors would not lock, so people were opening the doors, exposing 8-12 year old boys to the crowds. finally, I managed to get into a stall, I am an adult, so I tried to change out of my bathing suit into my clothes. i turned away from the door and tried to hold the handle with my hand as the door would not lock. the kids outside the door were laughing as they could see my butt through the bent slats and they were laughing and making comments. and they kept trying to open the door, which I was trying to hold closed...... totally inappropriate. I told guest services and the girl said "ok, I will pass your comments on to management" and then went back to chatting with her friends. the other adults with me reported similar issues, being exposed as others opened doors that would not lock or comments from kids that were peering through the bent slats..... not ever going back here again. and if you go, I recommend you take a buddy to the bathroom to block the door and prevent others from peeking into and seeing you change clothes

However, we were gifted a Groupon so that's how we knew about OUAC. When we went it was a cloudy and rainy day so it wasn't crowded at all, which was nice. The place was unique because it had many different stations and activities for your kids to play. It's like a huge Montessori playground. My boys loved the train ride and riding on the dinosaurs the most. I like that the place includes both indoor and outdoor stations. The place seems rather small compared to an amusement park like Six Flags, but it's just enough. Kids can easily spend 30 minutes - 1 hour in just one location so I really like how they can enjoy their time and casually play without parents feeling overwhelmed to get everything done to maximize the amount of money spent. We didn't host a birthday party here, but there were other parties booked. I don't know how much it costs, but let me say that the decorations were beautiful! I'm not sure if it was included or if the parents decorated themselves, but if you wanted to go all out for your child, you certainly can. The staff were also ALL super sweet and friendly! The place plans for everything, like rain. They had numerous umbrellas for patrons to use within the grounds. When it started to rain, all the staff were asking if we needed umbrellas, and one even was willing to run in the rain to get us one! Seriously, I've never seen such hospitality in an establishment from everyone! I also would recommend going here on a weekend because according to their website, more stations and activities are open during that time. Even if it's more crowded, I think it is worth it. Not only was the Boardwalk Bullet a blast and a half to ride, but my back and neck were A-OK after I got off. No problem with whiplash whatsoever! How about this: #1000, I'm the first one to write a review on it, and one of the great rollercoasters in the country. The Boardwalk Bullet opened in 2007 a few feet from Galveston Bay. It's a woodie, and it's a crazy one. I had heard that the Texas Cyclone was relocated here from Astroworld, that DID NOT happen, these are two very different coasters. From a distance, it looks like it would be a lot of fun. The reality is much greater. First, you're waiting in line, and when the train zips under you, the entire structure shakes. Second, there is a place to put your hat, purse, phone, etc.; loose articles are prohibited. If you're nervous about riding, simply step through the train and leave, although you just lost $6 by doing so. If you do sit down, you're in for a thrill. I rode near the back, but I don't think there's a lot of difference between front and back. The Bullet never slows down from the first drop to the finish. There are three big drops, and they're all gnarly. The big feature, indeed is speed: although it barely goes over 50mph, the turns are tight, the drops are sudden, and you have only a split second to prepare for anything. The Bullet packs a lot into a small space, which makes it more intense than 80mph on a 200-foot drop. Its high noise level increases the excitement level. It's like a smaller version of the Ghost Rider in California's Knott's Berry Farm: smaller, shorter, but the same out-of-control feel. Some coasters are yawners. Others have you say "hey, that was pretty good." The Boardwalk Bullet is one of those that you'll want to ride again and again and again.
