Place is huge

Fun Once You're In, But Be Prepared for a Rough Start The check-in process really needs improvement. Even on a slow Monday, the line was long and painfully slow due to limited staff. Noah at the front desk was doing his absolute best (props to him!), but he was alone and clearly overwhelmed. Management -- give this guy some help! Heads up: the Groupon doesn't cover taxes or socks, so be ready to pay about $15 extra per person at the door. That wasn't clearly mentioned anywhere, which felt a bit sneaky. Once inside, the experience is much better. The slides are amazing -- well-designed, clean, and surprisingly varied. The bounce zones are split into dodgeball and basketball, which is fun, though some supervision or age separation would make it safer. There's a great toddler area (under 3.5 ft), but not much for kids just above that height -- a bit of a gap in options. The swing jump was nostalgic and fun, but poorly managed. Only one hook for two lines made the wait unnecessarily long, and there wasn't much staff presence to keep things moving. Concessions were fine -- typical venue pricing, nothing outrageous. Overall: Worth it if you're using a Groupon or season pass, but arrive early, expect delays, and bring extra cash. Once you're in, the kids will have a blast.

We had such a great time at this place!! My husband and I had no idea it actually even existed. My kids had the time of their lives at Slick City. They have food, drinks, slides and even a small activity area for kids 3 and under which is kind of closed off just in case you have "a runner!" They also host birthday parties! The only downside to this establishment is sometimes, the kids do not exit off of the bottom of slides soon enough. I saw a few times that it caused some chaos and there many need to be staff put in each area to remind the children to "get up and keep going". However, the landing spaces are big enough for it not to cause any real threat. I am sure we will be back soon for more fun and excitement. . .OH! And there were a few areas that were shut down. Maybe because of staff shortage during the time that we went but we hope to catch all of it when we go back!

Could be really fun if major modifications were made. This may be fun for young children who don't mind aggressive play but this was actually a really painful experience for several adults. The slides where you fly off and are launched onto an inflatable landing pad - the pads are very hard and you will inevitably bonk your face/nose flat into it. Be warned. Other landing areas do not have inflatable bumpers at the end and you will inevitably slide off the landing pad into the hard floor. I rolled over my knuckles holding the sliding pad and am all swollen and bruised, whacked my foot on the edge of a slide and it hurts to walk, got a huge burn on my elbow when my arm moved off the pad after getting some serious air after one of the bumps in the slide and landing wonky, and smacked my face into the landing pad. You can follow all the rules and do your best to protect yourself but you will inevitably get hurt. 3 adults for 90 min experiences with socks was over a hundred dollars and we all left injured. It took the fun out of it. Luckily it wasn't too crowded so we didn't have to wait for a mat as other reviewers did. But the bathrooms were wet and messy and the go karts and lockers were out of order. The staff was also extremely rude and inattentive. The "attendants" at the top of the slides were on their phones instead of watching the kids and letting other customers know when it was their time to slide safely. Will not be returning and do not recommend for anyone that actually cares about safety or doesn't want to get hurt.

Grip socks like trampoline places you get from.

Double check with your children before arriving here if they are ok with the heights to slide down and that it is only face down position only. If your kids are adventurous with the adrenaline this is the place for them. You can buy tickets online, they have 2 lines, one for walk ins I showed my kids the internet influencers ad and they were sold... but when we got there they went to excitement to feeling intimidated and fear when going to the top. So they did not do a single slide. Luckily for the playground to keep them company but mom math 2 kids for almost $80 with the grip socks for 90 mins to play but ended being there for less than an hour. Also It doesn't tell you on your wrist band what time you begin or when your time is up. My rating is not based off on my kids not sliding, just what I observed how the facility operates while my kids enjoyed the playground area. They have a 2 dodgeball area that got taken up by older teens and there are 2 basketball court. One was broken I didn't realize it until I saw the court was semi inflated. They did a poor job on closing it off and no signs that say out of order. They had a gate that was supposed to block the entrance but it got knocked over. Honestly someone could've gotten hurt. Also I'm confused on the sock situation I saw the employee told another customer they need to use Slick City brand socks but when it was my turn they asked if I had my own grip socks similar to them that 'trampoline places' sell. As for the restrooms it's disgusting to take young children and everything seems broken from no toilet paper holder to rolls on the floor instead and the paper towel situation. For a new facility this bathroom looks pretty beat up and unattended. We were told it's more hectic on the weekends when there's bday parties so I can't imagine the madhouse.

Location: INSIDE Katy mills mall Parking: Plenty but there is construction on parking lot so it can be limited nearby parking Staff: friendly Wait time: 5-10 minutes, while waiting you fill out waiver if you haven't. Via QR code or kiosk Seating: limited, we went on a Sunday so it was most definitely packed! There's table seating as well as soft seating all @. Price: high, 90 minutes 3 kids and they REQUIRE to buy their socks we paid @$140 not including food or drinks. Seems like the popular thing to do as the line can be long but it does move pretty quick. After paying kids just pretty much go wild and running. As you walk in there is a kid section to your right. Lots of slides, some can be high and scary. They have mats laying all @ the park or inside buckets. Safety: I did not see any employees monitoring kids running @. Kids are everywhere and no monitoring at entrance/exit. It is inside a mall so it's easy for anyone to go in or kids to walk out. Not all slides had a person in charge. Over all kids 8 and older seemed to be able to find their way and follow rules on their own. It was way too packed for me but a great experience.

First Time... let's go.

12/17/23 Visit to slick city new slide park at Katy mall. Was really fun with a few, Side notes. Staff were great and nice. Everything is clean for now... while it's new. - FREE electric shock therapy. I was shocked on almost every ride from friction. - Don't wear nice pants (burnt holes in mine) (see pics) - go early, right as they open. Lines got really long. - bring a bag to put stuff in or be prepared to pay $6 for a locker. - they force you to buy socks even if you bring grip socks that an extra $5 a person. - tell your kids to keep their heads up so many kids chipped teeth and banged their heads on the drop slides in only the 2 hours we were there. - Food prices... $13 bucks for a small kid pizza. Worth checking out.

Hours of fun for 20,18, 4 and 3 year old! None of us had been and we weren't sure about it. Even after walking in it seemed like the slides may have been slow and short but they ended up being a lot of fun! You do have to rent a locker so $6 for all day locker access.

They have special pricing for family tickets - minimum of 4 tickets - and those below the age of 3 are free. If you play Jurassic World Alive, there's a special incubator you can get there. This is set up OUTSIDE of Katy Mills Mall... on the parking lot, to be exact. It's fairly obvious and easy to get to. We went with our 2 young kids, ages 3 and almost 7. We watched Jurassic World 2 nights ago to be prepared and the experience largely follows that movie. You're one of the visitors to Isla Nublar and you get a VIP tour that also includes seeing the hatching room and petting baby dinosaurs - namely a parasaurolophus and ankylosaurus (Bumpy). You also see the raptor cage and even sneak past a T-Rex! No Pterosaurs though. We heard there's a chance of jump scares courtesy of Blue, BUT that didn't happen on our tour. I assume it's because our group had a lot of young kids. A bummer (we prepared our kids for any possible ones, but it didn't happen). There is a human in the Blue costume. I felt that part was fairly tame - the fog machine helped set the scene but it was still PG. Maybe even G. Overall, it was pretty fun! For about $20 per person including the discount, it wasn't bad because the animatronics were pretty impressive. Family friendly, though one kid (maybe aged 7-8?) was scared with the T-Rex. Videos and cameras are allowed, just no flash. You get many photo opportunities throughout, staff will help you with photos, and you have a chance to buy the ones you take at the beginning. They have a gift shop where most of the things are overpriced (shirts, plushies). I grabbed a magnet and some postcards. I was also tempted with the posters. The biggest thing is they clearly favor certain dinosaurs over others. My daughter's favorite is stygimoloch but other than him appearing in the tour, he had no merchandise. On the plus side, I didn't fork over $30 for a Stygi plushie or shirt. I also wish there was a jump scare to make it feel completely worth it, but it was still great fun - especially for dinosaur lovers! Got home a few hours later and my 3 year old kept on saying how the dinosaurs were fun. Expect to spend no more than an hour there though.

I will say the dinosaurs are very realistic. I like that they only let a small group at a time. I…read morefeel as though as it could have been more interactive. For example instead of touching dinosaur poop they could have had us touch the dinosaur egg or the baby dinosaurs. The dinosaur eggs should have cracked open when you pushed the button. The price of admission does not justify the experience.

I was there on July 26, 2025 as part of the Katy Pride celebration along with other LGBTQ patrons at the park, plus other young and old parkgoers. Overall, this is a family-friendly waterpark. Everything was in order. I didn't have problem getting there from Houston. Although it was a very long ride, especially stuck in a Saturday commute on Highway 10. I originally saw the map on the computer thinking this was a huge park. But after walking around, this place is quite small to me. The lazy river, aka The Lazy-T, has really short loop. I couldn't get on other rides because there was a weather alert. Everyone had to be off the rides until weather authority cleared the thunderstorm warning. I don't know why they didn't tell us when I bought the ticket or even at the entrance. Speaking of my experience at the entrance, I got stopped for bringing unopened bottled water. Okay fine, I took it back to my car. I saw the dress code requirement poster at the locker wall. I took a picture to make sure my shorts were up to standard. Okay, now that's talk about my bad experience. I had a run-in with an employee who appeared to be a supervisor or lead of some sort because of his attire is very different from other employees. I asked him what was going on and why everyone is evacuating. He told me to "put something on to cover up." Huh? cover up what? I was wearing a Speedo swim shorts for swimmers. I specifically looked at all pictures and descriptions, mine was nothing close to be an undergarment. According to the dress code rules, men have to wear board shorts and women can wear bikini shorts. That's definitely sexual discrimination. I even took the shorts to guest services desk to verify. Both male and female employees agreed that was acceptable. At that time, the only thing came to my mind was that the "supervisor" was discriminating gay Asian male to be at the waterpark. I didn't see another Asian man in the whole park. I really don't want to make a stink about this. Because I really like this waterpark. But I will complaint to the management. I want them to clarify what men can wear to enjoy the park. p.s. According to Tajah R's review, the photo of "David" doesn't look like the "supervisor" I encountered. I wish I took a picture or ask for his name.

Their check in process was quick, a waiver is required to be signed prior to entry. Parking was free and plenty, there were a fee concessions stands open offering funnel cakes, ice cream, fries and tots. I like how you can bring a reusable water bottle to refill using their drink station. My dog had a time running around and barking at everything. May return for future Bark N' Waves events.

How about this: #1000, I'm the first one to write a review on it, and one of the great rollercoasters in the country. The Boardwalk Bullet opened in 2007 a few feet from Galveston Bay. It's a woodie, and it's a crazy one. I had heard that the Texas Cyclone was relocated here from Astroworld, that DID NOT happen, these are two very different coasters. From a distance, it looks like it would be a lot of fun. The reality is much greater. First, you're waiting in line, and when the train zips under you, the entire structure shakes. Second, there is a place to put your hat, purse, phone, etc.; loose articles are prohibited. If you're nervous about riding, simply step through the train and leave, although you just lost $6 by doing so. If you do sit down, you're in for a thrill. I rode near the back, but I don't think there's a lot of difference between front and back. The Bullet never slows down from the first drop to the finish. There are three big drops, and they're all gnarly. The big feature, indeed is speed: although it barely goes over 50mph, the turns are tight, the drops are sudden, and you have only a split second to prepare for anything. The Bullet packs a lot into a small space, which makes it more intense than 80mph on a 200-foot drop. Its high noise level increases the excitement level. It's like a smaller version of the Ghost Rider in California's Knott's Berry Farm: smaller, shorter, but the same out-of-control feel. Some coasters are yawners. Others have you say "hey, that was pretty good." The Boardwalk Bullet is one of those that you'll want to ride again and again and again.
