I came to Bear Creek Roller Rink with my coworkers during a private party on a Sunday afternoon. So you know, I haven't skated in years. I was pretty rusty with my balance. Finally, I got in the groove after a few laps. I got the price list, I think the prices are decent. I would come back after I buy my own skates. Because I wear size 10.5 but they don't have half size. I can barely fit into the size 10 skate. I know size 11 would give me blisters. Stupid GPS took me to the middle of Highway 6. I had no choice but drive into the parking lot next door. Then, drive around the block to come here. The skating rink is all the way back at the end of the parking lot. Although this party is scheduled outside of the normal business hours, there weren't other people on the rink. I wish I live nearby. I definitely would come back. read more

Don't go for adult night its not a welcoming environment. If you are not an advanced skater you will be really uncomfortable and you will get ran over. Not to mention the really aggressive behavior on the skating rink by what I assume are regulars. The fast skaters will run you over and they are not afraid to let you know that you are in their way. Since the faster skaters are on the outer lane you will most likely get run over trying to exit or enter the rink. The rentable skates are old smelly and they are the heaviest skates I've ever worn. read more

This was, without question, the most uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment I've experienced as an adult. We visited on 'adult night' expecting a fun, safe place to learn as beginner skaters -- instead, we were treated like we didn't belong from the moment we stepped onto the rink. The man on the microphone repeatedly insisted that beginner skaters move to the center of the floor (away from the wall), which is the exact opposite of every skating norm I've ever known. I'm not trying to crack my head open, for God's sake. Still, we followed the rule -- only to find that getting to the exit when we needed a break was nearly impossible because other skaters refused to let us pass. What made this worse was the overall atmosphere, created not just by regulars who clearly gatekeep the space, but by staff who seemed chummy with them and provided zero guidance or support. Instead of posted rules or any sort of direction, we were "informed" by being publicly called out over the DJ's mic. The humiliation was unnecessary, unprofessional, and downright bizarre. As beginner skaters, all we wanted was a safe, welcoming place to learn. Instead, we were mocked, disregarded, and made to feel like intruders after only five minutes. I genuinely have no respect for grown adults aggressively skating around beginners simply because we aren't familiar faces. If you're new to skating, do yourself a favor and steer clear -- the unspoken rules, lack of signage, and hostile culture make this an awful place to start. As for us, we'll be taking up ice skating instead, because Bear Creek Roller Rink can stay in the early 2000s where it belongs. read more

I usually come here because I enjoy skating. Although, today I noticed the worker, Isaac, was on his phone while I was trying to get skates for my child. This is very upsetting because my experience at the front and while getting skates is usually always very efficient, this man utterly ruined our experience. I'm devastated and this rink has become a danger to my child and I no longer will be coming here. read more

had a terrible experience at Bear Creek Roller Rink. The customer service was extremely unprofessional--staff literally snatched money out of my hand, which was shocking and disrespectful. The food was cold and honestly disgusting, especially considering the prices. On top of that, the venue was completely overbooked. We paid for a private event, yet random people kept coming in as if it were open skate. That should never happen when you're paying for privacy. Overall, the lack of organization, poor customer service, and low-quality food made this a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place for private events or parties. Absolutely disgraceful management. I have a 15-year-old son with myasthenia gravis who is legally disabled and often relies on a wheelchair because he cannot stand or walk for long periods. He cannot skate, but he simply wanted to come watch his brothers so he wouldn't feel left out. We explained this clearly to the manager. Instead of showing even the smallest amount of empathy or common sense, we were told that "all minors must pay" -- even though he would only be sitting off to the side and not participating in anything. Imagine being so rigid and money-focused that you can't make the smallest accommodation for a disabled teenager who just wanted to watch his brothers. That level of poor judgment and lack of compassion from management is honestly embarrassing. Policies are one thing, but basic decency should come first. Instead, the response we got was dismissive and completely tone-deaf. Needless to say, we will never return and will absolutely not recommend this place to other families. read more

This is my neighborhood skating rink and I love that we have one as I know many people who have to drive quite a ways to get to their nearest one. For convenience, fun and a good place to hang out, this place is 5 stars! For cleanliness, service and food, I'd give them a 1 star. The team working concessions were very slow and not really listening. Young lady was often on her phone or literally spaced out while I was talking to her! I understand working with friends when you are young but it doesn't take much to take an order of a pepperoni pizza and a pitcher of Dr Pepper. I told the employee my order three times and that is beyond not ok! The food was ok and i by no means was expecting a 5 star meal so no news there. The bathrooms are disgusting! I cannot express this enough! The toilet seats were barely hanging on. One single sink outside of the actual bathroom (to avoid slippery messes I'm sure). I realize kids in roller skates are using these facilities but this might call for a remodel on the site or a person manning the bathroom to help with clean up. I will obviously continue to come here because my daughter and I love skating but i genuinely hope this review helps the team see things that they can work on. read more

It was $16 with cash (there is an up charge with credit card) and includes free mediocre pizza and water (not sure if it's only on certain days) with dedicated times for adults only after 10p? The rink mostly has railing but not around the whole rink. The restroom is optimized for skaters. I did not see any lockers but there were free cubbies for shoes/belongings. They also have roller blades (but they keep your shoes until you return them). The lighting and music were very retro. The rink was pretty packed. I enjoyed it but it was a bit expensive and out of the way for me to go regularly. read more

I been wanting to go skating and was in town. I found this place on yelp. I went to their adult night it was pretty busy. The music was good but if you are not a pro skater I dont suggest coming on the adult night. You can barely get to the middle to skate slow. I had to have the referee stop traffic to put me there. My son who's typically low profile wanted to host a Family & Friends skate night here for his birthday in April. The "Pizza Party" package was decently priced for 10 people except for it includes only (1) pizza. You're free to add additional items to your package and settle your tab at the end. However, they were having a/c issues (which our party host stated started a few hrs prior to our reservation) and it was extremely hot + humid. We also had to fetch a few items on our own since our party host was assigned to other tasks. Overall, my son enjoyed himself & didn't notice the different mishaps. My daughter decided she wanted her 12 year old party here. Super easy to book online. We brought our own cake and goodie bags and they took care of the rest! The kids enjoyed it but even the adults had a great time. Brought me back memories when I was that age. Our server was very attentive and sweet. I wish I could remember her name. I recently went there for a little kid's birthday party. I haven't skated in years, but it was so much fun there. The staff is really nice and very friendly. This was a great Saturday of fun. Took my daughter for a day out of the house. The rink is spacious and well kept. The price was $12 no matter the age. I went around 4 so t wasn't packed yet but as the time passed the place started to fill. There is a concession stand with pizza, nachos and slurpies. Skate Party Headquarters! This place is a fun place to do some skatin'! There's a big ol' (flat) roller rink here, with lots of cool lights and pads around the wall to run into. For the novice skaters, they even offer walker-kinda things that look like what your great grandma uses to get around. The music the DJ in the sound booth was funky fresh. He spun the heppest jams which made my body rock and my skates roll. There were even games interspersed into the repertoire- a game of Red Light, Green Light gave the roller rink a real Squid Games vibe. The staff was nice, they got me hooked up with rented skates quickly. They don't have half-sizes, but who cares? They had kids skating around who seemed to work there who were keeping speeds reasonable, and when I fell and biffed it, they even came over to help me up. Yea, I ate it good. The decor seems like something out of an 80's time travel trip. Neon colors, video games, and prizes! I didn't see how you can 'win' the prizes, other than to just buy things like a mustache comb or a pair of Groucho glasses. They coulda used more video games, if you ask me. Arcades and roller skating always seem to go together. They only had a small selection of a game or two. Parking was easy with a dedicated lot. Because the employees are and they also let you pick the music and they even made like the floor so easy to like skate on and I like the thing that they have like like the in-line skates and I like the four ones and I just it's so good they even have like if you don't know how to like skate that much they have the trainers, so I went to that place for my friends birthday. I've been here a couple of times for kids' birthdays and it's pretty much on par about what you'd expect from a suburban Roller Rink - terrible, stinky, heavy skates that don't fit right; horrible junk food that makes Chuck E Cheese look like a gourmet restaurant; outdated family friendly music (although there was a lot hip hop about wanting to do it and such, I don't know, I'm not hip anymore); and lots of birthdays and such. I guess if your kid likes to skate then it's a fun time and it's a good value but it's a case of the "It is what it is"...don't expect too much and you'll be happy. It aint going to be glamorous but you're off the hook for another year and another birthday and someone else will clean up. read more

Not the best roller rink in town, but it's ok. I would definitely suggest this for a children's birthday party. There's a small arcade area near the rink which is nice. There is also an area for food, but it is very expensive compared to the quality of food they serve. The host on the rink was not the nicest. He was very mean and controlling towards the kids. We had a birthday party at Bear Creek Roller Rink today and we were very pleased. The price was very good in comparison to other party places, and we really just all had a great time. But I think it is important to remember that this is just a good old fashioned skating rink. Which also means that the staff is mostly comprised of young people who seem to be new to the work force. If you are an adult then I am guessing that you can appreciate that those young people are learning their customer service skills. It was evident to me that they were all trying very hard to make sure we had a good time and everything was taken care of. It actually made me feel really good to remember back to the days of my first jobs. Overall, I highly recommend going up and throwing on a pair of skates. I rented the rink out with a friend for a joint roller party this past Saturday. We secured the venue back in October for our 2 hour event second weekend of December. The entire process working with the rink was a nightmare. Prior to securing, we called for a quote. when we decided to book in person, we were told something opposite of what was said via phone. I began to notice that with each interaction, either a new charge would come up or the manager would state "I never said that". We were told to send our music playlist the day before, we sent it and called the next day to ensure it's receipt. Not only did our party not start on time (We weren't even allowed to decorate until 10 minutes before), the manager stated they couldn't find our playlist (even though we confirmed....). So we spent about 20 minutes with no music and once music happened, we heard the same 5-6 songs on a list of 80 songs we provided. Ultimately, we went to buy an adapter and plugged our phones in and controlled ourselves. Hands down one of the most frustrating venue rental situations I've ever been in. Save your coins and book elsewhere (somewhere that respects your time and appreciates your patronage). read more

There is nothing wrong with the facility, but I ran into a lot of problems with staff. A couple of days before coming we let the staff know that we would be bringing our own food over the phone, to which they said "okay," to, and we were also told that we could save a table if we got there in time, since there were no more "party" tables left. Long story short, they ended up telling us that we are not allowed to bring food or reserve a table after we already got to the facility and bought food to bring and saved a table. This would not have been a problem if we were told that this was not allowed before we spent money on food. Then when staff suggested us to eat the food in our car, they told us we couldn't keep going to our car to eat. There were just a lot of unnecessary contradictions. I understand enforcing policy, but it didn't seem like there was an agreement between staff members of what that looked like. Other than that, the DJ is good and the rink is a pretty big size. read more
