The workers are helpful, friendly, and actually care about keeping everyone safe and having fun--something clearly lost on the people leaving these ridiculous reviews. Rules like dress code, speed limits, or skate rentals exist for a reason, yet some people act like being asked to follow them is a personal attack. Complaints about math, music, hats, cards, gifts, or minor policy inconsistencies are pathetic and blown way out of proportion. Teens working the floor? Adult managers supervise, and the staff I know are trustworthy and hardworking--so stop inventing scandals. Anyone who actually spends time here knows it's fun, organized, and welcoming, while the haters sit online whining about things that literally don't matter. Get over it and enjoy life. 5 stars all day. And people COMPLAIN about internet like just step outside. Idiots. read more

I mean, it's the only one of its kind in the area from what I can tell. There's literally 1 kiddo working the concession stand on school skate nights and the line is never less than a dozen people for 2 hours straight. I like that soda refills are only a buck. My man gripe is the cell reception sucks here so it'd be nice to have some WiFi which is not the case. So you're essentially riding blind. But I guess that's good? Focus on social interaction and not your phone. $12 entry fee now instead and of $10 last year. And also there's no discount for bringing your own skates. read more

If you know someone who works there. Like another teenager. You can skate over and throw anyone and everyone with no stop. It's sad that the teen kids that are there all the time are stuck up little brats. They should be helping. Helping younger people to share. I was skeptical about visiting here due to some of the mixed reviews. In our first visit, my kids received invites for a free skate through their school. We had no issues with the staff, they were all very nice. The kids enjoyed learning how to skate. The have devices for rent for beginners who don't want to try unassisted. My son had his sweater come up missing (highly recommend using lockers). However, it was later found and the staff saved it in lost & found. My daughter decided she wanted to celebrate her bday party there and we did the ultimate package for 10. You are only paying for those that are skating, so the headcount does not include people that are not skating. The package includes all decorations in one color, small plates, cups, napkins, two 'large' pizzas, and two pitchers of soda. They also put a pitcher of water on the table. Our hostess was very helpful and made the experience seamless. We ordered two additional pizzas to help feed the adults & the kids had a blast. The whole experience came in under $350 before the hostess tip. Great way to celebrate and each kid received a pass to return for free. read more

BEAUTIFUL wood rink floor! Wowwwwee! I had a nice time at this rink and I loved the smooth floors. But, I wish they had their own adult night. It's always all ages, which is super amazing for families because the space is wonderful! But, for skaters like myself aiming for child-free nights to get down with the local talent and learn some new things on wheels... that doesn't exist at this rink. The music is also fun, but picture more throwback rink music and less of today's music and less r&b/hip-hop. I don't mind that aspect, but as a rhythm and jam skater I do love a groovier mixture of tunes and rhythms. The staff was nice, lots of young kids just trying to earn some cash. I also like that this business has staff on the rink floor, for safety of all their guest. Military discount is honored here. Receive half off for entry and skate rental at $5.50. Parents & adults are welcomed, entry is $5.50. I felt comfortable bringing my son for a couple of hours and exiting. We visited on a Saturday, and their was a healthy line of guest. In the words on my 3rd grader, "this place looks like an old, dirty place from the outside, but the inside is so cool"! I brought my 8 and 6 year old here for their 1st skating experience and they really enjoyed it, as did I. The walkers offered are helpful for first timers, but you do have to pay an extra $5 for them and need to keep an eye on them so that other kids don't grab them. They do have #s on them so you can track them down if this happens. We went on a Saturday and enjoyed it around 5:00 after some of the birthday party crows lightened up. read more

It's most unfortunate that I didn't even get the chance to experience this rink because I was told that my head wrap had to come off in order for me to skate. No, it's not in their dress code. And apparently, if it were for religious reasons, I'd be clear to wear it. Though it was explained that it was cultural, not religious, it didn't matter. Still as it stands -- though head wraps or scarves are not explicitly prohibited in the dress code -- I would have to do away with it to participate. I left. That my people, is a micro aggression. Hosted a kid's birthday party here- Yoooooooooo!!! The price for birthday parties is reasonable- about $350 for 10 kids with skate rentals, two pizzas and two pitchers of drinks, utensils and small ice cream cups... BUT the pizzas are so tiny and small, like the $5 small frozen pizzas you find at Aldi that would feed one person, maybe two at most... they cut the slices to TINY slices like toddler slices. And they don't serve coffee at all and won't let you bring your own coffee ( Starbucks down the street) inside the venue... so serve us some coffee and we will buy it there!!! I thought the food prep station in the middle of the open was weird... I think this places needs an admin remodel and the bathrooms are terrible, please remodel the bathrooms and have the sinks INSIDE not outside where everyone can see you wash your dirty business.... the best part was the roller rink but you need to play old school 70's 80's music not hip hop junk. The staff are kind and helpful although I had to do all my own serving of the party food and drinks and carry presents to the car by myself no help... I think this place is a solid C... they could make so much more money if they remodeled and updated... they need more security on the rink some teenagers were going too fast almost knocked over the smaller kiddos- the birthday DJ shout out game was lame, do the giant spin wheel for prizes like the other place down the street used to!!! My cousin brought her son to this rink to skate with friends. She paid for 10 kids plus 2 adults. We were not part of a "party" but came to celebrate a milestone for her son with some of his friends. As the kids started to arrive, they brought celebratory cards to present to him. The security. Add proceeded to tell them that the parties were over for the day and would not allow entry to anyone who had a "greeting card" in their hands. Who ever heard for greeting cards being regulated upon entry as if they were a weapon. My cousin paid $150 and her guest were told they couldn't come in with a card is insulting and ridiculous. We hadn't been roller skating in 20 years and it was a blast skating at Skate Champions! It was $8 admission and $3 for rentals. After paying, he buzzed door open and we walked to far right to the rentals area. There was a couple also standing there waiting to get their rentals and we stood for another 5-10 minutes before someone came by and helped us. It seems that the staff member was out on the rink facilitating a game. Wonder why they don't hire more help when it's that busy on the weekends? After we got our skates, we put them on and starting out to the rink. They had a DJ in the corner of the rink and he did a good job playing variety of music. They also cleared the rink every so often for fast skating and games. For same price ad a movie ticket, roller skating may be a better, healthier option for quality family fun. How do you participate legally in abusing your children? You simply bring them to a roller rink and throw them to the sharks! One of my daughters asked to go to this place as a birthday gift and I conditionally agreed. My conditions were that you had to at least try many times to learn to skate, and you can not belly ache about falling. Falling and subsequent injuries are part of the appeal and the learning process! A conditional agreement was reached and to the skating rink we went. Overall, this establishment is well put together. The rink DJ spins an assortment of new hits and oldies as well. The rink does some sort of contest every 20 minutes or so, with the prize being something from the concession stand. I did not get an concessions, but noticed the pricing is so-so. Their are sizable lockers for 75 cents of you need to store goods while you skate. You can rent roller skate walkers for $10 deposit, and I believe $3 an hour. There were plenty of people of falling on their stomachs, butts and sides! I did not realize so many people were so flexible! People truly enjoyed falling, gliding and overall maneuvering. I'm too big and tall to fall and bounce back up...so I opted to coach potato the affair. All in all, this was an enjoyable experience for everyone. You should check their website for rates and specials. The free WiFi is spotty and phone signals die in this place. Bring a jacket because it is chilly inside. read more

So bear in mind that my review is coming from an "elder" who has not put on roller skates in over 30 years and was hanging out with some of my other "elder" friends" Facility was clean. Staff was very helpful, the DJ was so god, he had a great voice. I was happy to see some people out on the floor of May age having a good time. I have to comment on the children that were there and their parents. I fell twice (hard, I think I may have shook the rafters), but so many of the children came over to ask if I was ok! I was touched. And then the parents; I saw you mother's out there with skates on, young fathers with skates on, birthday party parents helping kids..it was so beautiful to see all of you. They did not respond to our emails about the double charge. We called 5 times, but their answer machine will not accept messages. On our 6th call, someone did answer, but was unable (or unwilling) to help us and promised a manager would return our call. Went for a birthday party - it was CHAOTIC... in a good way. From the big screens to the colorful carpeting and lighting, this was nostalgia in its finest form. Who doesn't love skating rinks?? And, to still have one - we'll kept at that - in our community is a breath of fresh air. My kids enjoyed it, I enjoyed it - 'nuff said. Definitely recommend checking it out, the skates were cared for - they had roller blades as well - and the prices were reasonable! $11 for the adults/kids who weren't part of a party. Oh, the 5th star is for those nice ladies at the front. Accommodating, professional, and pleasant personalities. I can only imagine the level of ignorance they deal with on any given day - so kudos to them for keeping a smile. I went here with my siblings one day and when you first walk in it seems like a great place but then you start to skate and the floor to the rink is lifted near the dj stand!! And something was wrong with one of my wheels on my skates so I had to change them out! Also when the kids got hungry I went to go order food and the staff was rude and the food took forever!
