New Montreal style pizza…read more Considering I've not heard of or tried "old Montreal style pizza"; just sayin'. The crust, similar to the NYC pie. Thin, gently crisp, some chew and char. Easily foldable. Follow it up with just the right amount of quality ingredients are brought together in just the right proportions with quirky flair. Upside down pizza (cheese first, sauce on top) or stranger still, a double carb potato pizza. Speaking of, the potato pie is so good. All the ingredients from a potato mille feuille with a hit of fresh rosemary and grana padano atop the well made crust. Rich, creamy, nuff said. Equally good the mushroom with its "mushroom cream" (think a thin duxelles) base, rosemary to season and meaty creminis and motz to round it all out. Finally the sopressatta. I mean, come on, who doesn't love a cheese pie made even more complex with goat cheese, honey and grana padano? Sold by the slice or whole 18 inch pie. Inexpensive. Is it better than the NYC pie? No. But it's definitely not as boring either.

While they were both outstanding, I have to say, what I cannot stop thinking about was that upside down slice. That was freaking magical. I would eat it there through because of the complexity and nuances of the actual pizza. Do not let this one sit ... trust me. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the excellent selection of tunes that these guys were playing! The goods: My friend and I shared the burrata and oven-baked bread (yum!) and we both ordered the Toutegazzi. The crust was a little too thin for me, personally and I would have liked a little more seasoning on the pizza. I also ordered the deeee-licious Yes, You Should (cocktail) and the tiramisu for dessert (fantastic. My friend got the carrot cake, which is her go-to dessert when she comes here, Service: Great - I got a confirmation call earlier in the day from a super friendly individual who reminded me it was 18+ after 6 p.m. and the our waiter were also friendly. The crust was nice and thin, which I usually love, but the pizza just felt a little bland for my taste. The cheese seemed sparse, and I found myself wishing for more seasoning, hot honey, or fresh basil to give it a bit more personality. The "ranch" dip tasted more like dill sauce, which wasn't what I was expecting. The coleslaw side was fine, but nothing memorable. The BOGO deal helped, but after fees and taxes, two combos still came to about $40. Not a bad experience, just not my style of pizza. Glad I gave it a try, but I'd probably stick with some of my usual go-to spots next time.

In fact, Oxford University research reveal that the more often people eat and connect with others, the more likely they are to feel happy and satisfied with their lives. The results demonstrates that people who eat socially are more likely to feel better about themselves and have a wider social network capable of providing social and emotional support to combat physical and mental illness. Despite the clear correlation between social eating and bonding, the study also reveals a third of the weekday evening meals are eaten alone due to hectic work and life schedules, over two-third of people have never shared a meal with a neighbour, and one in five questioned have not shared dinner with a close friend or family in more than six months at home, a cafe or in a restaurant.
