Heard and read many comments about the Slice Shop so I decided to stop there today for a slice. It did not disappoint! Slice Shop offers an incredible assortment of pizzas, both triangle and square, with just about any topping you might desire. I'm a simple guy and really prefer just pepperoni and cheese. Slices uses cup 'n char pepperoni, my absolute favorite. Ordered a slice (about $8, but remember this is Naples and it's 5th Avenue. Because the shop was so nice looking (and incredibly clean) I decided to eat it there. They give you a number when you pay and they bring it out to you when it's heated. It was one of, possibly the best slices I've had in Florida. It's a little bit expensive (remember: Naples, 5th Ave) but still represented a good value. I'll definitely be back. read more

This cute hidden gem pizza shop located in Naples was absolutely fabulous. We were greeted by the owner Rob, who was very attentive and nice. I informed him it was our first time here! My husband ordered a buffalo pizza and I ordered a margarita slice in which both were so fresh and delicious. The pizza's were just right not too crispy nor not too soft. Great pizza sauce and cheese flavor taste. There are a variety of different kinds to choose from. The inside colors and decor is very elegant. Definitely will come back again! Finally made it to Slice Shop off 5th south. I'll preface my review by saying I was more than skeptical about $9 slices. I know it's Naples, but $9 a slice is still pushing the envelope (unless you have a captive audience- i.e. entertainment venue). The selection was huge. It wasn't just different toppings, but tons of completely different styles of pies. For a guy that loves different styles, it was right up my alley. It doesn't matter if it's a greek style, neapolitan, Sicilian, Detroit or Chicago etc. If it's done well with quality ingredients, I'm gonna enjoy it. That said, I generally gravitate towards thicker, lighter crusts being my favorite. I had to try at least least two different kinds. I ended up going with the burrata and the chicken vodka. I did order them to go. But in fairness, I didn't want them sitting in the box long. So like the fat bastartd I am, I ended up scarfing them down in my car within a minute of them coming out of the oven. I had the burrata first. It was excellent. The flavors were all on point. I'm a big burrata fan. Generally whenever I see it offered on a menu, especially on pizza, I get it. I honestly don't think it could have tasted any better. The only thing that could have been improved upon was the temp. It was really just a hair above room temperature. I watched her put it in the oven. It came out in about 2 minutes. It honestly wasn't hot at all. And this was eating it within a minute of it coming out of the oven. I'm guessing it prob needed 2-3 more mins in the oven. Next was the Chicken vodka. While this one also looked appealing in the display case, I probably wouldn't normally have been one of my top choices cause I'm not a huge vodka sauce guy. But I saw the guy put a whole pie out fresh right in front of me. So I decided I wanted to try it at it's freshest. Knowing that I might be a little bias against this one, I was ready to be a little underwhelmed. But it also was excellent! This slice was enormous. Not only was it a large slice, I've never eatin a heartier slice of pizza in all my life than this chicken vodka slice. I sh*t you not, the slice I had contained at least an entire chicken breast worth of meat! I enjoyed the panko breading. You would think that it was too much chicken. But the flavors all worked together excellently. It was well balanced. For not being a vodka sauce guy, it was the best vodka slice I have ever had. Again, the only thing that was lacking was the temp. It obviously was in the oven the same length of time as the first slice. It only took me a few mins to eat the burrata slice, so this one was right at room temperature when I ate it. That said, it was delicious enough that it didn't even need to be hot for me to thoroughly enjoy it. Sure, if it was actually hotter it would've been even better. But I was seriously blown away with the flavor and quality of ingredients in both of these pies. All this said, I have to eat some humble pie when it comes to the criticism of the $9/slice price point. I wholeheartedly believe these slices are worth nine dollars each. The chicken vodka pizza was plentiful enough to be a full meal in and of itself. I am a guy that can eat four slices of a large pie relatively easily. It had been seven hours since I had lunch. I was pretty hungry. But these two slices completely stuffed me! Although we're generally only in Naples 6 months of the year (Nov-April) I had to come back for a few days this week for a quick work trip. So I was looking forward to trying out the new places that opened up in town since we left this past May. These guys pies are so good I may be back every day this week though! One thing is for sure, I'm gonna need to exercise a lot for more this winter to compensate for all the pizza I'm going to be consuming at Slice Shop! This is a great additon to downtown Naples! Only thing keeping it from 5 starts was the temp. Next time I'll ask for it to heated up an extra couple minutes and it should be perfection. read more

We stopped here with our four kids on a busy Friday night. We were able to get a seat and wow did we enjoy it! Our kids loved it as much as we did. We had the kale Caesar with chicken, tried a variety of slices of pizza and the meatball starter was incredibly delicious. My daughters especially loved the truffle pizza. The had a fluid line of people ordering and the staff was kind. We will absolutely be back! read more

Slice was just barely warm when served. Asked for it to be heated up. Instead they gave us two new slices. By the time they brought them back out they were burnt on the bottom and basically inedible. At $10. a slice I expected better than that. read more

Great slice for SW Florida! Im NYC born and raised ,so Ive had alot of slices in my life. But something is off with the cheese . Its "plasticky" ,slightly squeaky especially when reheated. This could be due to poor quality cheese or they are using a good quality cheese but its not "whole milk Mozzarella"and is "pre-shredded "which hurts the melting consistency. Also not sure if temperature of ovens are hot enough as there is limited "char" to the undercarriage. This could also be due to dough fermentation techniques.The upside down slice was good as well. Not sure if they are using different sauces but this is common and all pizza sauce shouldn't be sweet,depends on the slice. I live local and would love to help them improve as I would love to see this place become a Naples institution! Would love if owner reaches out to me. read more

I have to give them 5 stars for their variety, fresh ingredients, flavors,decor and incredible service. Stopped in on a long weekend Saturday. I actually like the fact that they make you wait to place your order. This gives each customer undivided attention. There are so many options for pizza that it may seem overwhelming. You place your pizza and garlic role orders with the person behind the counter and kitchen orders are placed at the register and it is all brought to your table. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and acknowledged. They also asked if it was our first time and explained the process to us. You get to watch them make the pizzas while you wait. Today I felt pretty traditional and got the pepperoni and grandma although the grandma says thin crust I found it to be a little thicker but it was so delicious I cannot find any fault with it. My husband got the clam bake with freshly baked bread and we also had 2 garlic roles. They have a bar at the back and the bathroom is clean and spacious. There is some outdoor seating which I think will be really popular when the temperature cools down. We will have to come back often to try and get through all of the pizza options. I recommend coming in early as it gets busy quickly. The staff does a great job of clearing tables and making themselves available for anything you may need. read more

Pizza was good, not great, and the slices are pretty big. The NY Pizza was better than the margherita or "Portnoy". The margherita sauce had a sweetness to it that I didn't care for. The slice you're getting is a re-heated slice from the pizzas on display behind the glass counter, which is fine as long as they're busy and it hasn't been sitting out all day. Sometimes pizza is better when re-heated If you order a water, they'll tell you they only have bottles for sale...but they have cups of water and ice that I watched them hand out to another customer upon request. When I mentioned to the owner, he said he'd give me another bottle of water. I declined because I didn't need another bottle since I already bought one. Just don't charge for water. It's nickel and diming the customer. When you check out, there's the option to tip 20%, 22%, 25%...for food that you ordered at a counter while standing in line. Just under $40 for 3 slices, a coke, a water and tip I'm sure the slice shop will be busy, especially in season, because there aren't many casual places on 5th to grab a quick bite to eat. But it's not a destination place for us when we have a taste for pizza. read more

Went on a Sunday and expected to wait and we did but the line moves along. Kudos to the gatekeeper for keeping the ordering process civilized. Slices were good, not great, with a variety of toppings and combinations. I was disappointed in the crust, which to me defines a great pizza. It wasn't airy enough so the slices were a little too doughy for me which added to the heft in your stomach. The square slices were a little better but the dough could be lighter. I'm also a little wary of pizza shops that bake their pies on a metal plate instead of directly on the stone. I believe the direct heat from the stone adds to the crispness. I Had the Margarita slice as one of my choices which was good, just wished they topped it with fresh mozzarella. Overall a good spot to go to. The service was very good. read more

Great new addition to our area, where pizza can just be so so. We got 9 different slices to try. The tri -sauce one (can't remember the exact name, but pesto, red sauce and vodka) was delicious and both of our favorites! My husband wished they had "meatza" (one with all the meats) and he did say that the chicken slices almost had too much chicken. The sausage, peppers and onion was delicious too. Service was very good and helpful. The slices were pricey, but we expected that since it is on 5th and rent must be high! We would go back again. read more
