There is no Greek food in Ave Maria. However, Ledo served a tasty gyro sandwich- between $8-$9 with tax. The pizza was very tasty. It's a very thin crust and the sauce has a slight sweet taste to it. I asked for extra sauce the first time trying it, and I was not disappointed. Also, the chicken wings with ranch were delicious. The Buffalo sauce was more like a medium hot taste. A staple for pizza in the Maryland area, this chain pizza place made me a really good Turkey Bacon ranch, the small was two meals and a snack or two. I honestly don't know how this place stays open. I ordered from Ledos Pizza thinking it would be a quick, decent meal, but it was one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. The crust was completely soggy and tasted nasty, like it wasn't even baked properly. The cheese had absolutely no flavor whatsoever and just slid right off the slice, along with every single topping before I could even take a bite. On top of that, the sauce was weirdly sweet in the worst way, like it didn't belong on pizza at all. The whole thing was a mess--literally falling apart and tasting awful. There is certainly a necessity for a family friendly pizza place in Ave Maria. I would truly not go back to Ledo Pizza unless I had to. I'll admit I haven't had "Maryland style" pizza before, so that could be the issue. Our waitress, Fabia (I think), was lovely. She was attentive and got us what we needed quickly. She was knowledgeable about the menu and happy to share recommendations when we asked. There was a rowdy 3 year old sitting at the table behind us that impacted the ambiance. The concrete floors are loud- perhaps adding some bumpers to the bottoms of the chairs to reduce the noise would be beneficial. read more

I have spent close to 40 years in Maryland. I LOVE Ledo's pizza. I have eaten a lot of pizza from Ledo's. I drove close to an hour each way to get pizza in Ave Maria. I got it home and it was baked more than I am used to. I was disappointed. Will I go back? Definitely! But not as often as I would have if it had been perfect. While visiting South Florida we decided to drive 2 hours to Ledo Pizza. In Maryland Ledo is a staple and loved as much as the blue crab. People have preferences. Some love New York style. Some love Chicago style etc. Ledo pizza is a unique style of pizza loved by many in the Maryland/Virginia/DC area. I was leary that Ledo pizza in South Florida would not be as good but it was spot on and was an awesome treat. It was busy for a Tuesday at 3:00. Glad to see they ate doing well. Being originally from Maryland, I have been eating Ledo pizza for most of my life. Now, a Floridian, I only get it on the occasional trip to Tampa or in other states when driving 95 up north, or when vacationing in Ocean City. We were thrilled new locations opened in Ormond Beach and Ave Maria, and since Ave Maria is in South Florida it's doable from the east coast. That being said the Ave Maria Ledo's is beautiful inside, clean, has a full bar, and serves the entire Ledo's menu. There are televisions for viewing sports and it is more like a gastro pub then a pizza joint. We got on 75 in Fort Lauderdale and before we knew it, we arrived at a beautiful oasis in the middle of the everglades. The pizza was spot on too, so delicious. If you are after New York pizza you might not like Ledo pizza which is a unique taste and nothing like New York style. From what I can see, any negative reviews about the pizza were because these people expected New York pizza, not because there was anything wrong. This is not New York pizza, and people who know it love it. Ledo pizza is square and thin with a flaky crust, sweet sauce, and smoked provolone cheese. The combination is irresistible. If you don't want pizza, they have great wings, calzone, salads, steak and cheese, you name it, but the pizza is the star of the show. Not only that, but the staff is also so friendly, nice, and efficient. Ave Maria is the nicest Ledo Pizza location I have ever been in, and I have been in many. I wish it was closer. This is a 2nd day of soft opening. All things considered I would give it a Positive review. Had the salads 1st day for lunch. They were good. Ordered a pizza later that day for dinner. They messed up the order even after I repeated Twice to the person taking the order. The pizza was under Cooked but it was ok 2nd day ordered a salad and chicken Parm sandwich both were good. Only negative and this is expected they have no idea where your order is when you get there they say when it comes up then it's ready. I know there are growing pains I give the food 5 Stars. As a fellow Maryland native I was so excited to hear about Ledo pizza within driving distance! We drove all the way from Fort Myers just to get our fix and it did not disappoint. Started off good the first time I tried. Different tasting pizza and I appreciate a different option in ave. This time, it was pretty annoying. I'm not one to write negative reviews, but I ordered Buffalo wings w/ blue cheese and focaccia, received bbq wings with ranch and very stale focaccia. Drove back to the Ledos to get blue cheese, came back to my house and found a hair in the breading of the wings. Might get a beer here again but won't ever get food. read more

We have been there four times. The first was for pizza. Very good and would give it four stars. Second and third time for subs. Excellent and would give it five stars. Fourth time for boneless wings. We ordered two pounds ... one pound of hot honey and one pound of barbecue sauce. The one pound of hot honey wings were raw and cold in the center! They had to be thrown away. I went back the next day and told them about it and was told that they had other customers complain about the same thing. I asked if they checked temperature before they sent them out of the kitchen and they said they cook by time and this was a different brand than what they usually get. There was an apology but no offer of refund on the one pound that had to be thrown away. I will return but will only order subs or pizza. Beware if you order wings. read more

Having been born and raised in Maryland on Ledo's pizza I was excited to see them in Southwest Florida. My review is based on being brand new to the area and the employees are new to the product. The pizza was good but not completely up to Ledo's standards. We ordered multiple pizza with different toppings. The crust was a little thick and undercooked, needed more sauce and cheese. The bacon pizza was lacking and not applied after cooking (typically cooked crisp and added after baking pizza). Remember you motto, " are pizza are square and never cuts corner".
