I have been coming to Sleek Beauty studio for a couple years now and I have nothing but great experiences here. Everyone is friendly, professional, and really accommodating. I go to Anastasia for my mani/pedis and she is a very talented nail technician. I get compliments on my nails all the time and my no chips last so long with her. Mary does my brows (wax and tint) and she is amazing. In my opinion, she is definitely the best in the city by a long shot. More recently, Liz helped me correct some color issues I had from a stylist elsewhere, and she could not have captured what I wanted more for my hair. I booked Mary to do my makeup for my engagement photos and was skeptical at first but the minute I walked in, I knew I made the right decision. Mary made me look BOMB. Received confirmations of bookings and when I arrived Blanca says I didn't book with her and I'm booked with Elizabeth but my confirmations DONOT State Elizabeth!! When I asked to speak to manager, Manager Mary acts like I'm the problem even though I showed her her own website and booking confirmations!! She gives me some crazy explanation that even though I booked with Blanca the word book it under her name wasn't hers!! She gave me some crazy explanation that I booked with Elizabeth even though she isn't listed in booking app ANYWHERE near Blanca's name!! Manager Mary claims that it must have been because I used my IPHONE to book??!! WT?? Claimed this never happened before even though Blanca had just said that errors happened previously!! Again, WT?? This was by far the WORST Brazilian waxing experience I have ever had!!! I was very unhappy with their service every step of the way. When I first walked in, I was barely greeted before the employees immediately went right back to loudly gossiping. 20 minutes after my appointment time, I interrupted the gossip session to ask when they were going to be available, and was told to wait another 15 minutes. When I was FINALLY brought back to the waxing room, 50 minutes later than my scheduled appointment, the room looked very dirty and there was no cover at all on the table you have to lay on. No sheet, no paper covering, nothing at all. Although I was very unhappy with the situation, I had already paid for it and already waited almost an hour, so I decided to suck it up. Before laying down on the table, I actually had to brush someone else's hair off of it. DISGUSTING! When the waxing technician came in, she asked if I was okay with soft wax, and I told her I had only used hard wax before and asked her what the difference was. Before responding she already started spreading the wax on my skin. She did not wait for me to answer, I was in mid-objection when she slathered it on. Not cool. She then told me that soft wax usually hurts more, but she thinks it works better. That was comforting... 10 very rushed, painful minutes later, she told me I was all done, and "cleaned up" which consisted of her wiping the area with a damp paper towel. She did not use any after care lotion or anything, even though there was a bottle right on the table next to us. She told me that because I had shaved several weeks before hand, there were a few "straggler hairs" she couldn't get. When she left the room and I examined her work, I could not believe the mess she left behind. There were clumps of wax and tons of hair left over. The very first wax that I ever had after years of shaving left me with a much better result, so I was not buying her excuse that the terrible results were because I had shaved weeks prior. Overall, I left extremely unhappy, in pain, and without the results I paid for. Not to mention I felt the immediate need to shower after laying on that disgusting table. I bought a Groupon for 3 waxes, and there is NO WAY I will ever go back to use the other 2. What a waste of money and time! If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Ugg! read more

Nothing special about this salon. I only went there because Dreams hair salon closed, I was in love with Jessica's work! Sleek Beauty is overpriced and overhyped. Liz did my hair, I went in for a balayage touch up and I honestly didn't care for it. I feel like I would of gotten the same results at any other salon. For the $160 I payed I expected better results specially since it was only a touch up and not an all new haircolor. Liz had this attitude like she was the best hair expert in the city but she's not even close. Also the whole time I was there Mary was doing eyebrows and she seemed to be fake and arrogant the way she talked to her clients. Went for a manicure about a week ago. Place was beautiful. Staff wasn't very friendly. They were courteous, but definitely aloof. Kind of got a "friends and family only" vibe that made me feel out of place. The woman doing my nails was nice, but not interactive. Recently went in for a haircut and was just dissatisfied to say the least. My appointment was with Liz. At first when I walked in I wasn't even greeted and was just given a stare by Liz and the owner Mary. Online appearance is completely different from how it really looks. As Liz was cutting my hair it was just an awkward situation and she didn't even talk or anything just asked how I wanted my hair done and that was it. When the salon is charging 45 bucks for a cut and style atleast pretend you're interested in the client but this was just not the case. The cleanliness of the salon was horrifying and all the stations had all types of residue on them especially makeup counter. Floors as well were filthy and you can tell it wasn't just from a busy day there was dust everywhere and shoe This salon is really just not worth the money. I've been getting my eyebrows done by Mary since 2014. I always have a great experience and leave her chair happy. I finally got up the courage to do microblading for my stubborn bald spots that just wouldn't grow. My 1st session I was so nervous, Mary answered all the questions I had. I want to start off by saying.. I am glad some of you have really enjoyed this place but unfortunately I wasn't able to. I had gotten my hair done at logan parlor previously a while back and my hair had grown out so I didn't have much blonde left. I went to Blanca to bring up the blonde higher and get it blonder. I had an ombre/bayalge style going and wanted to keep that. I left that place basically with a FULL head of blonde hair... I didn't feel like it was what I wanted or envisioned but I honestly didn't dislike the outcome. I didn't think the price was bad. I also purchased a JOICO purple shampoo from them to avoid brassiness because i told Blanca I HATED BRASSY HAIR. LITERALLY, two weeks later the blonde towards the top was looking brassy..... I've had my hair dyed blonde before and never did it get that way after two weeks.. I was using the shampoo I purchased from them every single time I washed it. I decided to text Blanca about the issue... She herself responded saying that it shouldn't have gotten brassy and that if I wanted I could go in for a toner... I obviously said yes also with the day that I had available and she never responded.. I waited a week and texted her again. I go in and I had to wait for about 15 minutes which I was okay with at the time. She said she was going to tone the top of my hair where it was brassy and then tone the rest but not for long. Once she was "styling" my hair which I could tell it was something quick to rush me out already, she mentioned that not all of the brassiness was gone because there's only so much the toner can do. I said okay that's fine at least most of it is gone.... Aside from that issue my hair was actually darker than it was when I first walked in.. I didn't even care to say anything about it at this point. Then they charge me $40 to fix the brassiness that they couldn't even fix 100% after two weeks of me going in to do my hair with them????????? I DO NOT understand why I was supposed to pay for something that wasn't my fault? Like I mentioned before I always went to LOGAN PARLOR and I paid more but my hair NEVER got brassy until 6+ months of me dying my hair and If I ever went back for them to fix something I was NEVER charged for it. I decided to message the owner of the salon, Mary, because I was very disappointed and I never received a response from her. She left my message read. I thought that was the most unprofessional thing an entrepreneur could EVER do. I do not care how many years you've had the business or how much experience you believe you have. The customers satisfaction should be the most important outcome but clearly it isn't to these people. A damn "I apologize" is better than nothing. This place lacks customer service and professionalism. I have seen pictures of how they style hair for brides and what not and also the manicures and it looks beautiful, I wanted to at one point try those things out but they officially lost me as a customer. read more

This is my new "happy". I love-love-love this place. It has a chic clean new look. Great lighting and very laid back. I had my makeup and eye brows done by Mary. She is amazing! Very disappointed!!!!! I made my appointment online last week with Blanca and Liz, my first time there. I was excited because who dosen't love getting their hair done? Well I walk in and no one to greet me, I said I had an appointment and it was as if no one understood me. Kept looking at each other as if I spoke alien. So after my third time of saying I have an appointment, I was finally offered a seat which it was so awkward. The place was FILTHY....I couldn't believe it. Ive been to many hair salons and I just couldn't believe my eyes. The hair, dust, dirty brushes, disgusting. My hair was done and it was good, but the girl who cut my hair asked if I wanted it blow dryed? OF COURSE I DO? Isnt that part of the service? I personally think the girls who were sitting down should pick up a broom and push some hair and dust. I wont be going there again.
