They either need to to get a reliable receptionist or revisit their business plan. I'm a quality over quantity type of gal but Sleek's "exclusive" business approach has left me dumbfounded. I'm told they are an appointment only -mind you their website never stated so at the time. All they had to offer was an appointment in three weeks time. Eye roll; Heavy sigh but Fine-my bad should of checked Yelp first! Took the appointment....Three weeks later I walk in and I'm told that My appointment was made for April 11th not that day. Please come back. Vowed I Wouldn't... Just had the worst experience. I had a 12 o'clock nail appointment with Elizabeth, got there on time and waited 30 minutes before she told me that she was running late and still wasn't finished with her client. I told her I had somewhere I needed to be so we moved my appointment to 3pm. I get there at 3 and there's nobody there to speak with for 10 minutes. Someone finally comes from the back and tells me that Elizabeth went home for the day. So I text Elizabeth and she tells me that she left and moved me to Jennifer's schedule (at this point it's 3:15 and Jennifer is still not there). Jennifer walks in at 3:30 and we finally get started. And then about 10 minutes in one of my fingers is bleeding and she just wiped it off and didn't say sorry. I have been looking for a permanent nail place and I finally found it. Elizabeth does great work for no-chip manicure. She does an amazing job when it comes to nail care. She takes her time and makes sure the nails come out the way you want it. She is so sweet and polite. It's $25 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays or $35 every other day of the week for no-chip manicure. Horrible microblading experience. I feel like Mary could have done a better job on my brows. She said she could fix an issue I was having with crooked brows. So I finally got an appointment, and All she did was go over the uneven shape! I brought it to her attention, and She was confrontational with me. Real quick to blame it on my brows being crooked when I walked in the door. She literally told me "you came in like that". So I walked in the door with uneven brows, paid $250, and then left the same way. I've seen her work, and I am so disappointed. If she couldn't even my brows she should have turned me away and said there was nothing she could do instead of taking my money, "trying to even them out" and then after she got her money she behaved as if it weren't her problem. My wife wouldn't come here to post what's on her mind, but she has a kinder heart than I do. She had initially gone to Sleek Beauty Studio based on reviews and suggestions, and initially things went well. She wanted to be a frequent client with Atalie, but that didn't go as planned. She has never once honored an appointment with my wife or daughter. Most times Atalie would reschedule the appointment about a half hour beforehand and the times she didn't, they had to wait 45 minutes to an hour AFTER the scheduled time. Well, today was the last straw. My wife was taking our daughter to get her back to school haircut, they took the bus an hour and a half from Melrose Park to see Atalie, just for her to say she needed to reschedule the appointment AS MY WIFE WAS GETTING OFF THE BUS (10 minutes before the appointment). They have a skilled staff, but the lack of professionalism is truly pathetic. We're never going back! read more
