Andie was great! She did makeup at my wedding for myself, 4 bridesmaids and my mother. Age ranges were 25 - 60 and she made all of us look our best. I actually found Andie through the hair person I ended up using, Livia Caporale. It was important to me to have a hair and makeup person that work well together, and I found that through Andie and Livia. My first in-person meeting with Andie was at the trail at her house. Her condo is a great setup for the trial, with easy parking. She really made me feel at home. I must say the way my makeup turned out at the trial wasn't really what I was going for. She's so approachable that I told her I didn't feel I looked like myself, so we modified from there. I left her house being only decently pleased with my makeup. I am SO glad I stuck with her because the wedding day makeup was phenomenal. She used a new airbrush machine she had just gotten and it made all of us look flawless and like we weren't wearing any foundation at all. I couldn't believe it. My husband even mentioned how good it looked! Not only would I not hesitate to use Andie again, but I want to come up with more reasons to get my makeup done! Lastly, as a bride, she gets an A in important things such as responding to emails quickly, easy contract, sanitary with her application process, her prices are average, on-time, she's super nice, keeps the mood light, and her experience allows her to work within the time constraints of getting ready for a big event and coordinating with your hair person. read more

Andie was a delight to work with - through and through. After a makeup trial with another vendor that just didn't work, I reached out to Andie and she listened carefully to what I had liked, what I had not, and then responded with how she would do differently. She instantly gave me a sense of comfort and her professionalism and experience was so apparent even via a phone call - in particular, she was able to listen to what I wanted (make my eyes look as big as possible) and give a detailed plan for how to achieve it. As to the actual wedding day, Andie was incredibly timely and stayed on schedule without being rushed, lent an air of calm to a bustling bridal room, and made the getting ready process lots of fun. All her makeup looks were so natural yet glam, photo-ready, and tailored to each woman. Both my mom and mother-in-law were very apprehensive about getting their makeup done, but both looked incredible and, most importantly, felt really comfortable and like themselves. I had a make-up trial at Style Down the Aisle when I did a hair trial and the make up person made me look like a Japanese Samurai + Geisha, my eyebrows were huge and I had no mascara on... I then decided on doing my own make up until I saw an Asian girl's natural make up done by Andie. Andie used to work for a Japanese cosmetic company and has years of experience. The way she applies make up is very subtle and unique, she applied individual lashes on me instead of trimming a whole set, and I looked very natural- the best version of myself. During the application process, she will just make you feel so confident of the outcome, on my wedding day when I was nervous about other to-dos, she was calming me down and re-assuring that my make up was turning out so well. Andie is amazing. She did my makeup for my May 2008 wedding, and again recently for my brother's wedding. Both times I looked fantastic! Andie really knows how to apply makeup and choose colors to flatter skin tone and eye color. I felt like I had nothing on my face, but my eyes were perfect and my skin was flawless. I love that the first thing my sister said to me after my trial make-up session was "Wow, you look like prettiest version of yourself". I've had my make-up done by other professionals who try to over-compensate for my small Asian eyes with clown-like application or try to force an unnatural color base - but not Andie, she is truly gifted. Andie is fantastic! She did my makeup for my wedding, as well as for my three bridesmaids and my mom. At my makeup trial a few months before the wedding, we talked for a while first so she get a sense of how I wanted to look-she asked me how much makeup I normally wear, whether I wanted a dramatic style or a more natural one, etc. When I told her I honestly don't wear makeup and wouldn't feel like myself looking really made-up, she responded with gorgeous, subtle makeup that looked stunning. I looked like me, only better! She made me look years younger and my skin look flawless. Best of all is her false eyelash application-those lashes are absolutely beautiful. She blends them in so well that even up close it is impossible to see where they attach, and in photographs they make you look like you naturally have longest, fullest lashes ever. On the day of my wedding, Andie came to our wedding site, which made the getting-ready process so much easier. She remembered everything we had done at the trial, and got all of us ready with plenty of time to spare. One of my bridesmaids told me she looked better at my wedding than she did at her own! Andie's makeup looks fabulous both in person and in photographs, and when I got my wedding photos back and saw how pretty I looked, I knew it was all a credit to her, because I do not look that good in real life!
