Visited Slayer Burger on a Saturday afternoon to use a gift card I received. The space has limited space for dine in and appears to be more aimed at takeout. Love the wall art and vibes of this place. Cashier was friendly and answered any questions I had about the menu. There were a lot of options to choose from and a variety of burger styles including adding on a combo or having the burger on its own. A plus is being able to upgrade to an alcoholic beverage at an additional cost. I ordered their Cheeseburger with crinkle cut fries and Slay the Day Lager beer to dine in. Wait time was about 5-10 minutes as it was less busy when I was here. I can imagine it could be longer wait times due to the burgers being made fresh. You can opt to order online to pick up to avoid the wait time as well. Overall, I was impressed by the quality and flavours of the burger. Portion and quality justifies the price imo. The crinkle fries were fresh and crispy just the way it should be. Definitely worth checking out if you are into smash burgers. read more

I'm from Buffalo, traveled to Toronto yesterday for Ripley's and stopped here for dinner. Atmosphere is AMAZING the mural of Jeff Hannamen and his signature on the wall were awesome. I got the predator burger and my partner got the pandemonium and they were DELICIOUS tucked away in Toronto this place is amazing and I will be traveling back for more. I went to Slayer Burger for lunch. The restaurant was empty. The service was very friendly and restaurant was nicely decorated. I ordered the slayer burger combo. I thought that the meat could have more flavour. There were too much toppings. The fries were really good. My main problem is that it cost 30 dollars for everything including tip. Service was so friendly, I felt guilty not giving a tip. But 30 dollars is too much for an okay burger. read more

Slayer burger was delicious!!! Juicy double patties with just the right amount of sauce. Poutine was tasty but tiny for $8 (deceiving from what was advertised). It was frustrating trying to place my order since they didn't pick up the phone nor was their online platform functional. Their online order platform was down for 2 days likely because they were increasing the prices (yes, the slayer burger went from $13.99 to $14.99). Pick up experience was quick and easy. We will certainly come back. It took them about 5-10 minutes to prepare our order, two burgers, a shake, onion rings and fries. Considering everything tasted delicious and fresh, I think it's a more than acceptable time. I must say that both my shake and my burgers were spicy to my limit (which is not that high ). I really like it though. The wife's Slayer burger was very good, she was full before she finished her fries, and I don't complain! The ambience was neat and clean. First time trying Slayer Burger. We got the First Degree and the Slit Burger, along with the fries. The First Degree (waygu) burger was good, but I don't think it was worth $33. If you gave me that burger in a blind taste test, I never could have guessed that it was made with waygu beef. The Slit burger was pretty good for $7- better than other burgers in the area. The fries were also great and crispy- very happy with the meal overall. I had originally called to order the burgers and I forgot the name of there First Degree burger, so I referenced "the waygu burger" and the person who picked up the phone was very confused and had no idea what I was talking about. She even asked her coworkers and she said they "didn't have that on the menu". But when you only have one waygu burger on the menu, you'd think the staff would know. I had been to Slayer about 4 times before today's visit and each time i came away thinking "good but over-priced". I gave them another chance today as i really wanted to try the "Jack" burger off their secret menu (I guess their FB advertising worked lol). The Jack is a "tall" (extra thick) Canadian AAA beef patty with Jack Daniel's bacon onion jam, gouda, and sliced red onion. And the verdict? Clearly their best out of all the ones i tried. I liked the thick burger and am glad they didnt cook it medium-well (as listed on the menu)...i dare say it was medium rare. There was also a good amount of the perfectly melted gouda cheese and the special bun was much better than their other buns. It is too bad i didnt have this one from the beginning. Still, i find them too expensive to give 5 stars. read more

I had my first experience at Slayer Burger. First I don't understand why if they serve homemade burgers than why frozen crinkle cut fries?? Second, the meat to bun ratio is very much backwards. They press the patty very thin on the flat top. It can't be any more than 4 or 5 ounces cooked? The result is a very thick bun and a hard to distinguish patty. So along with the toppings of only lettuce and tomato,and I'm not exadurating. I couldn't detect any measurable beef taste. I've been cooking professionally for 40 years and I know what I'm talking about. I would not recommend their burgers to anyone read more

Went here for the customer appreciation event and got free burgers. I don't eat beef, so I requested them if they could swap out the beef Patty for a veggie one and they couldn't accommodate. No big deal! My husband was happy to keep all the beef burger for himself. He really liked the burger. my wife and I love a good burger so when we saw Slayer burger on uber we thought why not.I will tell you why not I had a double cheeseburger and onion rings and a vanilla shake my wife had a single burger with cheese and their mac & cheese bites when the food came the bun was old the burger was bland and the mac & cheese bites seem like they came from a box not the ones that were in the picture the milkshake was good but the rest of it failed. It also cost $75 for two burgers mac & cheese bites and 10 onion rings. So not going to lie, I've seen this place here ever since Lucky Star closed and wanted to try it. The other day I finally went in figured what the hell. Placed looked nice was clean, employees were friendly. Pictures of the food looked great. Got my order.........Just a regular burger......wheres the beef patty? I literally paid almost $20(mind you with sides) for 2 pieces of greasy bread...how do you make greasy bread? and the worlds thinnest patty...Im talking the exact same size as cardboard no joke. A splash of sauce with did taste good and a ball of bacon.......and one string of onion....This is a burger? I feel cheated. We have really gotten to the point where we can make a restaurant image look cool to justify over payed crap food.....Sorry...this is hands down maybe not the worst tasting burger but hands down biggest rip off for the price......Pay extra get the double for even more grease and still not even a single patty......Now granted this was the queen location and it might have just been the cook at the time, maybe its not always like this but it was like thif for me so wont be going back.. read more
