Again a solid visit to Slapfish. Quality was excellent, same as the one off Paseo in the north part of town. Service was awesome, very friendly and helpful. Food came out fast and fresh. I had the burger and my friend had the bowl. The burger was amazing. I got the sauce on the side and ate half with and half without. Def one of the best burgers I have ever had...the lobster and bun made it unique and delicious, like melt in your mouth amazing...I could go on and on. The fries were cooked to perfection as well and salted perfectly. The craft soda fountain was great and they have an awesome selection of local beers. My friends who bowl was really good. The ahi was very fresh and quantity was what you would expect on a double serving (no skimping there!). Will make this a go to for a casual dinner. read more

Slapfish - Cod Voyage Sandwich - Seafood Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

Great food at good prices. The protein bowl was perfect. Nice staff, Covid protocol in place.

Used to be really great. They changed something and it was not worth it. I ordered the Lobster/Crab Melt. I was not satisfied with the food. The crab and lobster filling was about a couple of tablespoons and the rest was bread. Not the $17 sandwich I ordered. When I brought it up with staff I was offered a refund, but then after they spoke to the manager they only offered to redo. I was told that they are delivered (not Fresh) that way and did not know why they were missing filling. They said they only butter the bread. So I left the restaurant with nothing. All I ate was fries. I contacted the company twice and did not even get a courtesy call or email. Never going back. read more

A fast casual seafood spot. Decided to come for a quick bite before a show, got the lobster roll and it was dry and bland, would not recommend. Maybe the other dishes are better. read more

This is small, high quality seafood cafe. The menu and preparation are excellent. The servers are professionals and customer service are grea. Beware, the portions are humongous. The sea food bowls and fried pickles. The manager Marissa helped resolve an order mixup. Try Slapfish, I know you will be pleased. Both the trout and salmon were perfect.. Great experience read more

Food was good little overpriced for what you get but it was good. Feels like a sushi freak but lobsters lol.

Amazing customer service from them the one who helped me was Jonathan gave me some amazing recommendations as it was my first time and it all tasted so amazing I recommend going for the great food and great service I will definitely be back and let everyone know how my experience went read more

Used to really enjoy this place. But the menu has changed and the portions leave a lot to be desired. The Lobster and Crab Melt (formerly the Clobster Grilled Cheese) is basically just a really expensive grilled cheese sandwich now. There was one piece of lobster on one half of the sandwich, about the size of a quarter. The new owners (an out of state investment company as far as I can tell) obviously don't care about quality or value. read more

Rating from before the last quarantine order. I sat down. Had some cherry cider, the surf n turf burger rare, with chowder fries, and a blood orange natural soda. Delicious fresh hot food. The staff made sure I felt at home and taken care of. And I hope this new order doesn't last 5 months but hey, we can't control what others do. I look forward to ordering these items for takeout these next months. read more

Wow! I was delighted to find fresh Opah on the menu so I had to try it. The Opah was cooked to perfection in the simple way it was cooked. We shared the Hawaiian Calamari and it was delicious. I like the calamari steak they used instead of the calamari rings. It is a little pricey and especially when you have not learned how the menu works. I will return again one of the next times I return to Albuquerque. It was good enough to go back and try something new. Now that I understand the menu and portion sizes, I won't spend as much. read more

Slapfish - Chicken chimichurri bowl - Seafood Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

Slapfish is pretty good for a chain. I ordered the lobster roll and thought it was pretty darn delicious for Albuquerque. Their salad was fresh although I had a few not so great pieces of lettuce. The portions were fair and prices reasonable based on how land locked New Mexico is. I was also very impressed in their beer selection with a great number of options for local brews although none were my favorite, but nonetheless a nice selection. I would definitely go back. read more

Slap fish was one of my go to's for seafood. Recently went and was highly disappointed. It was clear that the restaurant had cut back as the specialty fish board had been removed from the wall. The server advised that he could not sell alcohol as he let his server's license lapse and there was no one at the restaurant who could serve. We were a party of 6, the three orders of fish and chips came out promptly, but the shrimp roll and kids Mac and Cheese took 45 minutes. The soda fountain was dirty and the water switch was broken and running non stop. I will no longer be visiting this establishment for my seafood fix. read more

Great food. Nice atmosphere. Huge portions!! Even though it's near the mall it feels out of the way.

I want to like this place. It's hard to put your finger on their menu, but it's all things that I love. It's hard for one place to make excellent fish tacos and lobster rolls. I might try something different next time, but the lobster grinder was very meh, and the cod fish tacos were so hard you couldn't eat them. The staff is super nice and it's a fun atmosphere. read more

Walking into the restaurant for the first time I did not have high expectations , I was born and raised in New England and used to fresh seafood. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The woman behind the counter greeted us the minute we walked in and was very friendly and pleasant and explained the menu and about the fish specials they had and all the ways the fish can be prepared. I started with a cup of New England clam chowder which was very good but a but a bit thick. Then I had the globster grilled cheese which was excellent! My partner had the lobster roll which also was excellent. I was surprised they use Maine lobster instead of west coast lobster, Maine lobsters are better because you also get the meat from the claws. Over all I have to say the food was excellent and so are the employees, very friendly! If you are looking for some seafood I suggest you give them a try! read more

I've been wanting to go to this place for a long time now and finally got a chance! I loved it! They had such a friendly Lady working behind the counter, she kind of made it what it was. The food was wonderful I got the lobster roll which was market price and it was only like $22. It was peeled lobster and it tasted so great! For a little bit of additional cost I added the grilled veggies and they were all good as well. I have to say I like the atmosphere and the location quiet a bit. Plan on going back soon. read more

I ordered food Feb 10 online. When I got to the restaurant there was a a note saying the restaurant was closed. I have been getting the run around trying to get a refund. Absolutely delectable!! The food is top notch fresh seafood served in generous portions- but a quick pause and special mention is deserving for the staff. I found Slapfish recently because it is next to my chiropractor and I fell in love REAL quick :) The bowls and tacos are FRESH and taste out of this world. Call me biased because I always show up super hungry after my work shift, but I leave full and satisfied every time. As we were traveling through Albuquerque, we lucked out when we stopped to eat at Slapfish. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! My husband loves fish & chips and orders it at every opportunity. He said this was some of the best he has ever eaten. I had the Epic Shrimp burrito and it was great too. The restaurant was spotless clean and there was plenty of parking. I wish we had this restaurant in our home town! read more

Had lunch here and sat outside on the patio/sidewalk, which was nice. When asked, the person taking our order wasn't fond of the item I asked about. Hmmm. The menu is a bit large and choosing the fish and then the fish prep style often needs suggestions. Guess I didn't want to ask again for suggestions. I ordered a cup of clam chowder, and the two handed taco, with mahi mahi blackened. Companion ordered the fish and chips, blackened. The chowder was mostly potatoes, fine but not amazing. The taco was good and I added tarter sauce to it. The blackened fish didn't have much blackened flavor. The french fries were hot and good. Overall, for the value, it was unimpressive. I've been to the other location a few times, and the folks working there seemed more enthused about their concept and product. read more
