First time at this location on a Sunday. Probably some of the worst service I've ever seen. No silverware was ever brought out, napkins weren't brought out (i had to get up and get this from the bar), no plates were brought out for 8 people for the appetizers that were ordered, drink orders wrong, sauces missing, the list continues. The server was nowhere to be found at times, asked to remove plates then decided which ones could stay instead. Really frustrating. All food runners looked upset to be there with attitudes themselves. Food was good, but because of the service, I won't be back to this location. Tip: you can join the waitlist for 6 or less. Met an old friend tonight here for dinner, who was visiting from out of town. Our server was Victoria and she doted on us, making sure we were well fed and taken care of. We shared the mozzarella twists with marinara sauce. They were very good. I had the spicy lasagna and the portion was large. Get to enjoy 1/2 tomorrow. Yum. My friend had an assortment of wings, garlic Parmesan and spicy buffalo. It came with celery sticks and lots of ranch dressing. They were doing the NFL football draft on the TVs and it was very loud, but we were able to carry on a conversation. So, my husband and I tried this place based on the advertisements stating "fresh food for everyone!" That may be true if you are a meat-eater. For a vegetarian, the pickings are pretty slim. We ordered a side of loaded tots and a pizza (although neither vegetarian, but could be ordered as such). Not sure why the loaded tots didn't include green chile, but bartender provided the addition promptly when asked. Both food items ordered were fine. We came here right around when it first opened. The wait was long, but expected so no complaints about that. The atmosphere was pretty loud and service was hit or miss because we saw a lot of people standing around our server took a longer than usual on checking in on us. Kind of expected during the opening newness, but it did affect our evening, but they were nice when they did stop by. The food itself to me was really mid for me. I was expecting a alot just based on what I've heard about Bubbas. This was my first time here. Food wasn't bad, but nothing wowed us. Burger was just a burger and chicken tenders tasted like tenders. Im sure we'll be back, but there isn't anything making me want to go back any sooner. read more

For a chain restaurant that just opened. I was super impressed. Kiara our server was fantastic and took good care of us. The food was really good and tasted fresh!! Got the onion rings which didn't last long on the table. I got the fish and chips for my entree and it was perfectly fried and tasted great. The coleslaw was just ok but the rest was great. I have been here twice. Once was a month ago and again today. I understand there are other Bubba's 33. One further into Albuquerque near I25, I believe. And others, in other states. Both times my wife and I visited here, we were very impressed with the food and service. I consider both to be top notch! Today I had a Blackened Bleu Burger. My wife ordered a Bubba's Nachos. Both were excellent! (I regret to say that I forgot to take any pictures of either. The previous visit My wife ordered an American Patriot burger. I ordered a California Chicken. Both were excellent! I posted those pictures on Instagram. There are two things which I think it would be good to note. First, the stools used for the bar and many of the tables throughout Bubba's 33 have hard wood seats. For most people, that isn't an issue. But for me, it is. I need a softer seat or sit at a booth. The second issue may affect more people. The noise level at this Bubba's 33 is quite loud. My wife opened an app on her iPhone which measured the decibel level where we were sitting today. It went from 78 to 85. That doesn't bother either of us, although it made it a bit hard to hear in our conversation. But more important is how it will affect some people. Our son is on the Autism spectrum. Loud noises are something he cannot deal with. If he were to walk into this Bubba's 33, he would turn around and walk out, never to return. My wife and I certainly will return again. But we know that our son would hate it and leave. I bring this up, for those readers who have family members who are sensitive to loud noise. If you have such family members, I don't recommend this Bubba's 33. Perhaps in a few months when the excitement of this new restaurant is over, then the noise level may go down some. I'm hoping so we can bring our son and daughters there. read more

We like Bubba's especially now since it's closer to home. Same menu, same good food. 19 brews on tap, enough TVs to catch your preferred sporting event or team, regardless of the direction you look. There's plenty of parking, easily accessible for ADA and 6 handicap parking in front of the door. Plus a few dedicated motorcycle parking slots. We got the Spicy Habanero Burger with tots and Wild Shroomin' Burger. Both burgers were excellent & juicy. Mine had a nice amount of heat, not too much. Service was good, our server rounded frequently and we got 2 manager visits. Im sure there are some growing pains. But not too obvious. A great dinner. read more

We went to Bubba's to watch the MWC championship game (you know, the UNM Lobo's conference) and right before the game started, all TVs tuned in to watch the game were suddenly changed to Texas vs Arizona. We asked and were told they could not be changed back. They were "programmed" to change. As a consolation, they put it on a little TV in the far corner of the bar area. Not a good place to watch the tournament unless you're for a Texas team. read more

A friend and I had a lunch and drinks. We asked for and were seated at the bar. The food and drinks were good. The bartender was our server and was prompt and accurate. The staff were enjoing their work. The ambeince was happy people, a nearly brand new buildig and interior with nice decor and many large screen TVs. We enjoyed our meal and have returned again. We ordered onion rings for appetizer they came out and looked great but we did not get any napkins we had to ask the bus boy and he didnt know where there were. I ordered a glass of wine. I had to ask our server she never brought it I had to ask a food runner to get it. I ordered a second glass of wine it never came. Sports bar with TVs everywhere. Food great, service great. They have ESPN, but manages says he can't baseball games on any screen? Its the run for the playoffs. Our first time in this location. Was greeted by Nick at the bar right away. No matter how buy they were he was there to greet us and offer to help. My first impression was great. I finally got to get a cold 33 degrees beer that is really cold. He also can make you these yummy drinks. Come see Nick you won't be disappointed. read more

I think they may have taken the hint about the music being too loud. Went recently on a Sunday and sat at the bar with a friend and could actually hold a conversation without having to yell. Much more pleasant and thanks to management for taking the constructive criticism. Food was terrible we couldn't even eat our burgers cuz the buns were soggy.... Took them home because MAYBE we can salvage them but they are probably going in the garbage. If we were people who sent things back we would have. Service was spotty. The waitress was nice but not very attentive especially since they weren't that busy. We got our food and it was at least 30 minutes before she checked back and our food was untouched and cold by this point. My man ordered another drink just to try to dull the irritation. The French fries tasted like fish so I'm assuming they fry them in the same oil they fry their fish in and that's gross and unexpected. Appetizers were just ok. Fried pickles were pretty good and the crinkle cheese stick things. "Wings" were fine but could have gone my life without having them. If I could get my time and money back I would... The only thing I enjoyed were the drinks ... So basically I spent 100$ on drinks and left hungry. Still left a full tip but i hope somebody who cares and has the power to change this sees this... Disappointing. We had a much better experience at the other Bubba's. The wait to get a table was long, 15 minutes longer than we were told when we put our name on the list. Every worker we came in contact with acted like they would rather be somewhere else...from the hosts, to the person that seated us, to our server and even the manager was just ticking the box when he sped by our table asking on the fly if we were doing ok... It is very loud inside, the patrons are not shy about dropping F-bombs. Glad we didn't have our kids with us. The bathrooms were filthy, toilet paper and paper towels everywhere and an overflowing trash can. The food was decent. I had the lasagna which was delivered to our table bubbling hot BUT we had no silverware so we had to wait again while the young woman left to track some down. So much for piping hot food. And the wine list...choices are red or white...no labels available, probably out of a box. Perhaps we're too old and have higher standards than their usual patrons.
