I like Red Lobster! I get great service and a fantastic tasting meal! I've been going over 20 years and never had a bad meal yet!

Red lobster definitely had its pros and cons of eating here. The biscuits are honestly the only thing that makes me remember red lobster . I can't go years without having those delicious biscuits and it's the majority reason my review will never go below 3 stars. Maybe I should just order biscuits next time. I ordered the Bairdi crab as an upgrade to snow crab and I ended up still getting small crab legs that looked like snow crab, it smelled a little fishy but it wasn't too bad. The Cajun butter sauce was good but they don't give you a side dipping sauce of it they just pour it on the outside of the shell. Last time I checked though we don't eat the shell of most crab species so most of that delicious sauce went to waste. Just having a side sauce of it to dip the crab meat in would have really made a difference. The crispy potatoes were so good, the best thing we got. Creamy potato on the inside and crispy potato skins on the outside. I would come back and get these potatoes with my next biscuit order. The fries were fine, I asked on uber eats for ranch to liven up dipping the fries in but I got only ketchup. read more

Mom had just picked me up from the airport, and we decided to go to her favorite place. She absolutely LOVES Red Lobster. It was blazing outside, so it was good to get into some air conditioning. But it was SO DARK inside. My Mom sometimes has a hard time seeing, and even I was wondering WHY the place was so dark. I don't know. We sat and waited awhile to be seated. While waiting, I used the ladies room. It had a smell to it. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I'd say something like a sewer smell. I was hoping I would clear my nostrils before eating. We didn't wait long before being seated. There were a few of us waiting, but once seated the restaurant actually seemed empty. The food made up for it. Of course I couldn't wait to bite into the famous Red Lobster biscuits. They were good as always. Flaky on the outside, moist on the inside, with lots of flavor. I ordered the calamari for an appetizer and a double dose of shrimp w/broccoli. I got the garlic shrimp and crispy shrimp poppers. I like my broccoli crunchy (not mushy), and they didn't disappoint. Our server was very cordial and attentive. The garlic shrimp was good too. I washed it all down with the Lagunitas IPA (they were out of the Hazy IPA I had my eye on). Mom got shrimp as well. Was craving seafood and wanted something fancy as well but homey and decided on red lobster. We ordered the lobster pizza and it was saltier than I thought it would be. The crispy dragon shrimp is a new fav in the menu and it's a must try for those that love spicy food and want a little kick entree. The lobster tail was perfectly cooked and so was the steak. All in all it was a descent experience. Will be returning for the crispy dragon shrimp. Service was okay and the wiring was a few minutes but nothing excessive. read more

My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday evening to a not too busy dining area. My salmon was undercooked and gelatinous in the center, though it was so absolutely slathered in butter it took me a while to realize it wasn't cooked all the way through. My boyfriend ordered crab legs but they didn't provide the cracking tool when they presented our food. Only until he struggled enough to have to ask for one, the waiter took his time bringing it to him. I had also asked for plain steamed broccoli and again it was drenched in the aforementioned glistening, salty butter. I guess I shouldn't be so picky considering it's a Red Lobster in New Mexico. We went here for the snow crab special dinner on a Tuesday. The place wasn't very busy but they were making people wait for the whole party to arrive to seat you. The place is huge there are at least two separate dinning areas though I do have to say it did get popular a bit later in the evening. Our server was great, very knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. I had the snow crab legs with the melted garlic butter (yum!) The crab was cooked well and was rather the expected amount of effort to get it out of the shells. We also had the crab queso which was delicious! The special was a great deal, pound of crab legs for $20. Drinks were also reasonably priced and very good. Mine even had a brownie bite on the glass. Dessert in a drink! I was quite glad our Red Lobster hadn't closed down along with the rest of them. I may try to go back again before the whole chain disappears. read more

So I went here for a celebration dinner. Looked online and found out that they have daily specials. The one on Wednesday just happen to be lobster tail and 7 oz sirloin steak for $25.00. Just what I wanted! I get there before 5:00 and it's not busy...little early for the dinner rush & it was mid week. Went in got greeted and asked about bar seating and was told there's availability and to go around the corner and seat myself. Got seated and looked at the menu for a few minutes and was greeted by a nice bartender who got my drink order and food order right away, and was attentive, friendly. Food didn't take long to come out. I wished I would of asked to hold the main course til I finished my salad, as it came out before I was done with it. Also the salad dressing was on the bottom of the salad and I should of asked for it on the side as it was too much dressing for me. When the steak and lobster tail came out, I did get asked to cut into the steak to make sure it was done the way I asked it to be cooked, which it was med rare, taste was good, the lobster tasted a little gritty, not sure why that was. The overall plate display was pretty plain. Just the tail, steak and clarified butter (which was not all clarified) with a slice of lemon, no parsley or anything to show a nice food presentation. Ok, I get it...not a 5 star restaurant but, one of the Red Lobsters that didn't close, so have pride and show some appreciation for the food and the customers that are coming in to support to keep you open. I also ordered a drink, a Sunset piña colada. It was delicious, price seemed a little high for what it was but, I was out celebrating so I was willing to pay it. Red Lobster is my mom's favorite restaurant. Today was her 100th birthday and of course that's where we celebrated.There were 17 of us and the food and service were stellar. We did have reservations and I explained the situation so they could be prepared. We were given a private room that was pleasant and quiet, which was nice because Mom and several of her friends are hard of hearing. The manager offered to put the cake in the refrigerator and our waitress, Danielle, brought it out when we needed it. She took such good care of us. All in all, a lovely experience. read more

The MAIN reason for my 5 stars is for Nick. We sat at the bar and man he was great. Attentive. Professional. Funny. The calamari and clams were cooked well. Side salad was a small upcharge but it was fresh. We got the shrimp scampi, fried shrimp and fish platter. Again. Everything was yummy. I got my free birthday dessert to go because we were so full. My wife and I took my mother to this Red Lobster for dinner for her birthday on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. This location is near Montgomery and San Mateo. We had the seafood stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer ($9.99). There were six mushrooms, so we had 2 each and they were stuffed with Monterrey jack cheese and lots of stuffing. My wife and I had the Tuesday special, which was 2 Mariner Feasts for $41. These are usually $25.99 each and include: Atlantic salmon topped with creamy langostino and Norway lobster sauce, grilled sea scallops, Walt's favorite fried shrimp and 2 sides. My wife ordered a baked potato with the works as her side and I got a creamy langostino and Norway lobster sauce topped baked potato. My wife ordered a bowl of the clam chowder ($5.99). My mother had the half-grilled rainbow trout ($17.99) after finding out the bowl she originally ordered had sold out. Darrold, our waiter, treated my mother super nice after discovering it was her birthday. He brought us 2 free cups of clam chowder, gave her the other half of her trout for free and then at the end of the meal provided two free bowls of ice cream. All the food tasted great, and the service deserved five stars. My only complaints were a pretty dry baked potato (even with the sauce they put on top) and the cheesy biscuits weren't as good as I remembered. These were minor set-backs to an epic birthday meal thanks to Darrold. His great service with a smile really made my mother's birthday special. Thank you Darrold, we'll be back for sure. I am not a huge fan of chain restaurants, but Red Lobster is one I grew up with, for special occasions. My mom, aunt, and I went for lunch. (We got a to-go order for my sister, too.) We were asked to wait in the lobby. We were informed that they were understaffed, only 3 servers came to work that day. Even with a lack of servers, we waited less than 5 minutes before we were seated. Within minutes, we were brought drinks and a very pleasant waitress took our order. She was amazing. I saw her constantly in motion, checking in on every table and getting food out, as soon as she could. Drinks were never empty. When we added the to-go order, she didn't even miss a beat. When we were about to leave, she brought out the piping-hot to-go order. Both my aunt and mom ordered the fish and chips, from a lunch menu. Neither of them finished their food. (Probably because they filled up on the cheddar biscuits.) I asked for the endless shrimp dinner. I got the shrimp linguine and skewer shrimp. The linguine has a very creamy alfredo sauce. It is very cheesy and a little salty. It works, though, because the shrimp served with it are bland. The skewers (two) of shrimp are tail on and perfectly seasoned. They are served on a bed of rice pilaf. I didn't think the rice was that interesting. The sauce/seasoning on the shrimp was excellent. Even though I was approaching being full, I asked for another order of the skewered shrimp. It is so good! The quality of the food and the service will bring me back. read more

I ordered an entire meal for my mom on Mother's Day. She loved it and enjoyed every last bite! I had it delivered via Door Dash sending her a broiled salmon plate with steamed broccoli & mashed potatoes. A side order of New England clam chowder and shrimp scampi. Both of those last two she had never eaten before. She is a fan of them now! ;) The only thing that she said she had more of were the mashed potatoes she said they were delicious! SHAME on executive management for threatening to fire it's employees if they didn't work BOTH Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day. Your decision not only affected thousands of employees, but all of their families nationwide. Families had to change long-standing traditions to celebrate days before or days after, because you didn't even consider allowing just one of the days to be mandatory. SHAME on executive management for over-seating and over-booking. This caused: the kitchen to become overwhelmed, the wait staff to take the brunt, and in-house arguments amongst the hard-working employees. Customers, in turn, stiffed wait staff for having to wait for their food, making it a horrible holiday for all. Was it worth it, executive management, was it worth it? You owe every single employee an apology and a bonus. You might want to reconsider the bad decision-making, or good luck with retention for next year. We can here to celebrate my mom and it was amazing! We hadn't been here in some time and there was some great improvement in the quality of the food. One of the pictures shows my plate which was the pick two ($24) I went with the garlic scampi and popcorn shrimp. The garlic scampi was a plate of about 8-12 shrimp cooked and sitting in a plate of melted butter and herbs. The popcorn shrimp were perfectly breaded and fried. From the other order I tasted the scallops and they perfectly cooked. At the end we also tried the new lemon cake and it was definitely one of the best lemon cakes I've tasted. Food was tasty, as I've typically experienced at other Red Lobster locations. Figure a 4.5 star menu. Yeah, I'm a sucker for their Cheddar Bay biscuits, so that bias remains strongly at play toward my satisfaction quotient. Premises were clean & back room where our group of seniors was located remained quiet enough for conversation throughout the meal. Clam chowder was usual commercial level bowl. Not off the charts complex, but sufficient buttery taste, saltiness, & creamy texture to make its proclamation heard. The fact that it is offered as an "Endless" bowl option adds to the value meal aspect of the deal. They were out of salad that day (suspected shipment shortfall, missing truck), so were offered cole slaw as a substitute. Slaw had quite creamy mayo based dressing with a bright tart tang that did not taste of vinegar. Cabbage was acceptably crunchy, but without the crispy snap of fresh cut slaw. I suspect it came out of a carton. A good & tasty carton, but a carton nonetheless. Gotta give a special shout out to the staff for textbook exemplary customer service all through our meal. We got a very cordial greeting from Jose when we arrived and were lucky enough to have Nick as our waiter. His friendly professionalism and well nuanced timing at checking back to insure all was well were solid top shelf service all the way! Always a hit or miss in that service is either exceptional or mediocre. Today was between both those scales. Food was great. Service could have been brought up a bit. After ordering. Waited for what felt like an additional hour for the wait staff to come back and say our order is still being prepped. Of course wait staff is not to blame but that is what kills the service in the dining area as staff has no other way of informing patrons what type of wait they have nor can they change anything in that aspect. I haven't been to a Red Lobster in over 8 years since I was sorely disappointed in their Lobster Bisque because it didn't have pieces of lobster in it. Finally, my SO decided to come for a nice family dinner. We came during early bird hour so there was no wait. We were greeted by the manager. The staff is very friendly and accommodated is very well and got us booth seating. They offered to park our stroller nearby where it wasn't in the walking areas. Our server was very patient and polite while we tried to figure out what we wanted. We started with the famous cheddar biscuits and Mussels appetizer ($11.49), which was cooked to perfection in garlic butter and tomatoes. For our entree, we decided to try the best thing that popped up with the most lobster, so I decided on the Lobster Lover's Dream feast combo ($36.99)! It was a great selection of 2 lobster tails with lobster linguine. Everything was enough for two! We washed everything down with a Blue Moon draft ($3 Happy-Hour) and a Berry Mango Daiquiri ($7.49). Alcoholic beverage prices aren't always listed btw. Overall, I loved the experience here. The staff was welcoming, attentive and polite the whole way through. I even breast fed in public and the environment felt safe and comforting. We took extra cheddar biscuits home without feeling guilty. Everything came out piping hot and was delicious. Only thing I have to complain about was the use of SO much butter that it can be too much on the palate. I'm not used to eating really greasy/heavy foods, so I definitely didn't bother to use the extra butter on the side. I'd prefer to keep my seafood steamed with butter on the side. Was a little disappointed with our visit last week.... we came for the Friday fish fry for $10.99 after seeing an email coupon for it. We waited about 10-15 minutes for a table (while more wait staff was arriving). First, our server had never heard of the fish fry deal (even though it was the first week for it). I asked for a Caesar salad to be made with spring mix, no romaine and kept getting salads mixed with spring AND romaine. It's not that hard. After a while, I gave up and ate the salad anyways (again just personal preference). Our server didn't check up on us much throughout the visit, and we were told that he had made a mistake in that the fish fry deal does not come with salads. I ordered shrimp scampi with a side of mashed potatoes and broccoli. The mashed potatoes were so incredibly dry and thick but the flavor was so odd. It definitely didn't taste homemade. The shrimp scampi was nothing special, just small shrimps in butter. To be honest, what do you expect with a chain restaurant? But Red Lobster definitely didn't deliver a meal worth the $ it was.
