Today, we arrived and noticed the menu had changed. We ordered our usual Legendary Omelets--something we've ordered for years. Each omelet was priced at $16 with cheese and bacon, and we included several vegetables on each. When our bill arrived, we were shocked. One omelet was $25 and the other was $22. We asked our waitress how a $17 omelet had increased so much and were told that Legends is now charging $1 for each and every vegetable added to an omelet. While it was listed on the menu, we didn't realize each vegetable would be an additional charge. It should have been communicated that EVERY additional vegetable will be $1! Our total came to $51 before tip--for two omelets. We expected it to be around $35. We understand that restaurants have had to raise prices, and we don't mind paying more for quality food. What is disappointing is the feeling of being nickel-and-dimed over basic vegetable toppings that have always been part of how we've enjoyed our omelets. The vegetables added to an omelet are so minimal, I don't understand the change. Sadly, this pricing change means we'll no longer be returning. It's disappointing to lose one of our favorite breakfast spots over a pricing policy that just doesn't feel like a good value anymore.

If you're in Sandy, Utah and find yourself in dire need of pizza, beer, and a rollicking good time, Slackwater is the place to be. I went there expecting a good slice, and left with my mind blown like a balloon at a kid's birthday party. Let's talk about their beer list first - it's crazier than a squirrel on espresso. With so many options, I felt like a kid in a candy store, except the candy was beer, and I was a very thirsty adult. Now, let's get to the main event: Samantha, the bartender extraordinaire. If there's an award for the best bartender this side of the Mississippi, just hand it over to her now. She's got more charisma than a stand-up comedian at a pizza convention. Samantha picked my beer with the precision of a Swiss watchmaker and the flair of a Las Vegas magician. I don't know what kind of sorcery she uses, but her beer choices were pure magic. And the food - oh, the food! The pizza was so good it made my taste buds sing "That's Amore." The wings were the perfect balance of crispy and juicy, like they were auditioning for a role in a food commercial. And the half salad? It was so fresh, it probably moonlights as a motivational speaker for other salads. If you're in Sandy and looking for a place where the beer flows like a river, the pizza is heavenly, and the bartender is a legend, head to Slackwater. It's a slice of paradise in the heart of Utah! read more

I give them a 2 star merely because of the management of the Sandy location and the day staff. They openly support the insurrection and Q theories. Joey, was the manager on duty, whom yelled at a couple their having lunch. Joey called them names, demeaned them, then kicked them out., for really, no reason. The man had asked 1 question, about an attire of a waitress employed by Slackwater; she was wearing a shirt with propaganda pushed by Qanon, Congress woman MG, and Trump. The shirt said "1776 Fight for Freedom" it was a tank top navy blue. The question was simply "do you know what your waitresses shirt stands for?" The manager approached them aggressively from the get go, and the staff girls were laughing and making fun of the customers question, unprofessionally. The manager got irritated quickly and as the customer expressed he was insulted by it, and that it didn't seem to match the atmosphere of the place, the manager cut him off and finished them out, refused to allow their waiter cash them out and told them they were kicked out. The entire girl staff was gathered in circles and felt unprofessional and alot like bullying. Unbelievably horrible behavior by the management and the waitress' there. Food was great, but staff horrible behavior and energy. If need a beer and pizza there are other great places in the valley! read more

3 Stars - Good Pizza, but Inconsistent Experience Slackwater - Utah Visited: July 1, 2026 I visited Slackwater with a few friends and had a generally decent but uneven experience. The atmosphere is lively and the restaurant has a fun, casual vibe, but it can get very loud and crowded, which made it a bit hard to relax and have a conversation. The pizza was good overall, with a solid crust and fresh toppings, but it wasn't quite as consistent as I was hoping for given the reputation. Some slices were excellent, while others felt a bit underwhelming or slightly overcooked. The beer selection is definitely a highlight, with a wide variety of local and craft options that pair well with the food. Service was friendly enough, but things moved slowly, especially when it came to getting our order and follow-up items like refills and the check. It wasn't a bad experience, just not particularly smooth or attentive. Prices felt a little high for what you get, especially considering the portion sizes and the wait time. That said, the quality is still solid enough that I would consider coming back, just maybe not during peak hours. Overall, Slackwater is a decent spot for pizza and drinks, but the inconsistency in food and service keeps it at a solid three stars for me. read more

We're regulars at Slackwater, attracted by their great beer selection and a decent Red Sangria. I enjoy trying something new from their special menu each time we visit, as their creations have usually been a hit. However, our last visit in September left me with a meh! On the positive side, our kids adore their cheese pizza, and it's a relief to have a tasty dairy cheese option for our younger son, who has a dairy intolerance. It's not easy finding suitable places for him to eat, and Slackwater's pizza options make it a go-to for us. There are a couple of areas that could use improvement, though. Their nachos were a letdown, and the white sangria tasted watered down. However, their regular pizza offerings never disappoint, except for one their "taste like burning pizza". On the topic of salads, I usually stay away since I am not a fan of their offe One appetizer that keeps us coming back is their sun-dried and fried wings - they're an absolute favorite. So, while there have been various experiences, Slackwater remains a familiar spot for our family, and we'll be back for more. read more

Nights like this are why we love Slackwater. The pizza was great, the beers were cold, and we spent way longer there than we planned to--which always seems to happen when we're having a good time. A huge thank you to Ash, Jessa, and Zach for making the night what it was. You can tell when people genuinely enjoy what they do and enjoy being around their guests, and that's exactly how it felt all night. Ash, you're family at this point. Walking in and seeing you is like running into someone we've known forever. You always make us feel welcome, always make us laugh, and somehow make every visit feel a little more special than the last. Jessa and Zach were awesome too. The three of you made us feel less like customers and more like friends hanging out over pizza and beers. That's a rare thing these days, and it's a big reason we keep coming back. Thanks for another great night, the conversations, the laughs, and for making Slackwater feel like more than just a place to eat. Looking forward to the next time already. read more

A Pizza Experience Worth Savoring! I recently visited Slackwater, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was simply fantastic, with flavors that really stood out, thanks to their use of high-quality ingredients and the fact that much of the menu is made in-house. You can truly taste the difference in every bite! One small hiccup in our visit was that our drinks didn't arrive before our appetizer. However, the manager quickly noticed this oversight and graciously took care of the appetizer for us. It's rare to find customer service at this level. After our meal, the manager came by to personally check in on us and ask how we enjoyed everything. This kind of attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction is something I wish every restaurant offered. Overall, Slackwater delivered an unforgettable dining experience. With their delicious food and outstanding customer service, this place is definitely worth visiting. Highly recommended! read more

Slackwater in Sandy maintains the chain's reputation for delivering top-notch food and an impressive beer selection in a laid-back setting. The cozy outdoor seating offers a relaxed spot to enjoy Utah's ambiance, perfect for a leisurely meal under the sky. Service here is consistently good, attentive without being overbearing, ensuring a pleasant experience without the rush. The food--be it pizza, sandwiches, or other artisan dishes--hits the mark, and the beer selection is commendable. However, a small misstep comes in the form of their seasonal sangria, which unfortunately doesn't live up to the rest of the menu, coming across as a bit watered down. Overall, Slackwater Sandy is a solid choice for those seeking a chill venue to enjoy a meal and a brew. It scores a well-deserved 9/10 for its combination of atmosphere, service, and culinary offerings--just steer clear of the sangria and dive into their extensive list of beers and ales instead. read more

Had an amazing work lunch at Slackwater Pizza! Our server, Said, was fantastic--attentive without being overbearing, making sure we had everything we needed without feeling rushed. The Italian Job, calzone style, was absolutely delicious and hit all the right notes. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience, creating a perfect setting for our meal. While I enjoyed the Peachy Keen Wings, I do wish they had been a bit larger, and the sauce could have had a bit more punch. The heat was spot on, but the flavor didn't quite live up to the enticing menu description. Overall, though, it was an excellent lunch, and I'll definitely be back. Really good food. Service isn't too bad. Wait is ridiculous. Using Yelp to get onto the waitlist is a joke. If you accidentally make it at the wrong location it doesn't tell you which location you joined the wait list at. The link via text message to check your place in line does not work. Waited for 40 minutes only to go in and find out it was the wrong location and then be told it was another 40 minute wait. Hostess stand was minimally helpful. I like their pizza. It's a drive to get there fo us so don't know that we will make the trip back in the future. Which is too bad. Guess if you don't mind waiting for an hour to be seated then it's worth is. At 8 pm at night. It's not. read more

I absolutely love Slackwater! Their pizza is hands-down my favorite, especially the Grape & Gorgeous--it's a must-try. I also really enjoy the California Sunrise and the Buffalo Chicken pizzas. We wish they had more gluten free options, but they accommodated us as much as they could. The one con we had was when we were watching the game, one of the employees came in to turn the game we were watching to something else. I had to make a passive aggressive comment for someone to come in and change it back. Other than that, great place!

Our waitress was attentive and checked in regularly, and the food came out in a timely manner. I ordered the schnitzel and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. I wasn't quite sure what to expect from a brewery, but the food exceeded my expectations. I especially enjoyed the uniquely curled fries, which were crispy on the edges and tender on the inside. I also tried my friend's fish and chips, which were good enough to make me wish I'd ordered those too! Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. The atmosphere was lively and inviting, making it a great place for groups. You could comfortably have conversations without worrying about being too loud, but the acoustics also kept the noise from becoming overwhelming. Another plus is that they accommodate tax-exempt payments, which is especially convenient if you're organizing a work-related meal. Overall, a great experience, and I'd definitely come back to explore more of the menu!

Clean and polished look to it. I biked, there is rack very close by. My husband drove; they validate the air garage right next to the restaurant. We sat on the patio, which is quite lovely. It faces a walking area rather than a street or parking lot. We got a pizza and salad. The salad was the Harvester. Pretty delicious, although I would've loved a little bit more goat cheese on it. The pizza was the Level Crossing. Instead of roasted peppers it had a yellow and green bell pepper combo it. Our server said the menu is being updated and this is the new ingredient. The pizza is crispy and delicious! I also tried one of their newest lagers, I forget the name but crisp and clean taste. They have NA beer (Athletic) if that's your thing. Our server was very attentive and kind.

I was greeted right away at the front desk and was given a menu as I headed in. My server, the lovely Fina, was such a sweetheart! I had a wonderful experience overall and will definitely be back to try more items on their menu. Highly recommend checking this place out!

From the moment we walked in, the…read morerestaurant had a fun, upbeat atmosphere with beautiful décor and friendly service that made us feel welcome. Every dish that came to our table looked like it belonged in a magazine, but the best part was that the food tasted just as incredible as it looked. We started with the Eggs Benedict, which featured perfectly poached eggs, flavorful rosemary ham, rich hollandaise, and crispy potatoes. The Funky Monkey French Toast was over-the-top in the best possible way, loaded with Nutella, bananas, berries, roasted peanuts, and real maple syrup. The double cheeseburger was juicy, packed with flavor, and paired perfectly with crispy fries. We also loved the Beet & Strawberry Panzanella, which balanced sweet strawberries, earthy beets, creamy whipped goat cheese, crunchy pecans, and fresh mint for a refreshing combination. The biggest surprise of the meal was the beignets. Warm, fluffy, and generously dusted with powdered sugar, they were easily one of the best we've ever had. They practically melted in our mouths and were worth the visit all on their own. If you're looking for an outstanding brunch spot in Utah with creative dishes, generous portions, and an unforgettable atmosphere, Sunday's Best is an easy recommendation. We were a table of three and waited almost two hours before we finally got our food. It took about 15 minutes just to be seated, and once we placed our order, the wait was honestly horrific. It got so bad that our waitress brought us beignets and apologized profusely for the delay. When the food finally arrived, one person ordered pancakes, another had a hamburger with French fries, and I ordered the avocado toast. Everyone else's food was satisfactory, but unfortunately, my avocado toast missed the mark. The waitress could see my disappointment and apologized. She explained that there was a new person in the kitchen running things and offered to have another avocado toast made to see if it would be any better. The second one was definitely better, and I appreciated her making the effort to fix the situation. She was very kind and did her best under the circumstances. That said, the extremely long wait was disappointing, especially when we watched other tables who arrived after us get their food in a much more timely manner. I understand that restaurants can have an off day, but waiting nearly two hours for a meal really put a damper on the experience. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be revisiting on our next trip.
