I was not planning to purchase anything especially since I thought they only carried Dreyers. Then I saw a sign posted over the ice cream section. It said Farr's Ice Cream. I remembered Farr's when we were in Ogden, Utah. When I peeked into the display, I saw Wild Huckleberry ice cream!! Looked for an employee, but there was none to be found. Went next door to Slackers, and the staff member said he would walk over to Big Dipper to assist us. I asked him if the Wild Huckleberry ice cream was from Farr's. He said that it was actually made by Russell's Ice Cream based out of Utah. Well, my wife and I shared two scoops of the Wild Huckleberry ice cream in a cup. It was delicious!!! Our nephew was in heaven with his Dreyer's Cookies and Cream ice cream. The shop itself was cozy. Once I got someone to help us, service was fine. Would return the next time we're in Page, AZ. Just beware of "stoned" locals. There was a man who was "high" on something when we exited the ice cream shop. All he wanted to do was start a fight.

The ice cream is against the wall that you walk in from, so immediately turn right when you enter to find the cases. There was only one employee, Lyrica, inside when we showed up at 5p on a Friday. My mother had the huckleberry - she loved it, as always - and my brother threw a curveball by going for the orange sherbet. He ate all of it. It is really visually loud in here. The place is huge, but we were seated and served very quickly. The seating isn't the comfiest but there is plenty. Long tables, hug bar, arcade games, and a merch area. We ordered a couple beers (the pickle beer was legit), the carnivore pizza, and the cheese curds. All really good. The self serve water and soda is convenient too. Now our second visit made me love this place. The reunion was 30 family members on two house boats on Powell for a week. We had to preload those boats and by the time that chaos was done, us 'youngins' were beat and needed drinks and food. Sadly, we showed up at 8p, the kitchen was closed, and they close at 830p. But, we were able to order a round, sit on the patio, AND they let us deliver food to eat out there! We would have loved to eat their food but for them to be that flexible was awesome. We'll definitely visit again, next time we're in town.

Unfortunately, Grand Canyon Brewing & Distillery was a disappointment. The venue itself is really…read morecool and has a lot of potential, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired. The biggest issue was the service. There appeared to be plenty of staff working, yet getting any attention was surprisingly difficult. We practically felt invisible throughout our visit. It wasn't a matter of being understaffed, just a noticeable lack of attentiveness. The beer and spirits were equally underwhelming. For a place that specializes in brewing and distilling, I expected considerably more. Nothing we tried really stood out or made us want to order another round. On the positive side, the food was decent, and the atmosphere was easily the highlight of the visit. Ultimately, a cool venue and decent food can only make up for so much. When both the service and the beverages fall short at a brewery and distillery, it's hard to justify a return visit.

LPV takes as good of care of their equipment as they can. Rentals are usually beat and possibly don't run that well. This was not the case with the Godfrey boat that we were given.
