I can't say that if I were in the area I'd ever have to go back here. They also offer what they called old fashioned shakes and maybe they would be better than the ice cream. However, Jacob Lake Inn is open all year round. They have a cute store and restaurant on site as well as a gas station so there is everything you'd need. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated in a western/Grand Canyon/woodsy theme. For being out in the middle of nowhere, the hotel has all the same amenities you'd expect to see in a city. It's nice to have that in the middle of the woods feeling but without having to camp. The prices are reasonable and everyone working there is always super nice. Plus the history of the place is pretty cool too!

The hash browns were just grated potatoes (maybe frozen) and over seasoned with salt, French toast was bland, and the toast had to be repeatedly requested. When it finally arrived, it was over buttered and cold. It was not from the fresh made bread I remembered just months ago. We left for the first time without cookies. I no longer trust what comes out of the kitchen.

I was disappointed there were not more flavor choices, however the four that were available were delicious. Our favorite was the Chocolate Parfait. It looked liked a scoop of ice cream which intrigued me even more. We went right outside and ate two of the cookies right away. We broke the Chocolate Parfait in half and the chocolate was ooey gooey perfection. My husband loved it so much, we went back inside and bought the last one. We were so full after just two cookies that we took the others with us. We saved the Chocolate Parfait for the next day and unfortunately it wasn't the same as eating it right at the time of purchase. The other three cookies I think would taste just as good a day or less later, but don't wait to eat the Chocolate Parfait cookie. The magic in this cookie is immediate consumption.

The toppings were perfect and the crust was cooked just right. The wings were just as delicious. They were crispy and the sauce was flavorful. The wings were accompanied by ranch, celery, and carrots. The wings were a bit spicy, but the ranch was the perfect solution. It was just two of us and we were so full that we took half the pizza back to our hotel to enjoy the next day for dinner.
