We ordered a couple of burgers to-go from Slackers last weekend, after spending the day hiking the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and building up quite an appetite. We weren't able to get cell service to call in our order until we were closer to Page and Slackers was only 15 minutes from closing for the night. But they took our order and we fortunately got there before 9:00, and totally demolished our delicious burgers! My girlfriend got the Mushroom Burger & I got the Green Chili Burger...I was hoping the Green Chili burger would be smothered in pork green chili instead of just having diced green chilis on it, but it was still delicious and hit the spot. I walked through the outdoor patio to pick up our food, and it looked like it would be a great place to eat in non-pandemic times. I look forward to hopefully being able to do so the next time I'm in Page! read more

This place is a grease pit with ZERO customer service. I recently dined here with my family and when we received our food we noticed one of our chicken tender meals was short a few tenders. So I went back to the register and explained the issue and the line cooks and two other workers behind the counter had a five minute discussion about the ordeal and there was a lot of arguing going on between them....all right behind the counter in front of customers waiting in line. Then I was told that one of the cooks said that he knew for a fact that we got the right amount of tenders and that was that. I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. We spent over $80 dollars on our meals (party of four) and they really thought that we were trying to get a few free chicken tenders? Bahahaha. Wow I guess cooking up a few extra tenders might hurt their bottom line. So ridiculous that they thought we were lying. I was so offended. Their cooks must make zero mistakes LOL. Aside from that drama, our steak sandwiches and onion rings were so greasy and bland. Highly recommend to avoid this place. read more

Cheap burgers but don't know that I'd pay the $5 extra for a drink and fries. Great place to eat if you're looking to fill up at a good price and don't want to go to fast food. Nice friendly atmosphere, lots of available space to sit with a large family, order at the counter. Burgers are under flavored but you can add your own salt pepper fry sauce and mustard and it becomes better. Got a buffalo burger which I wouldn't advise due to lack of flavor. Mushroom burger was pretty good. Would definitely come here again over the other places in Page for a sit down dinner. Especially if you're with a large group and don't want to break the bank. read more

Awesome food, service and prices. Stopped by after our 5 hour long tour of the nearby canyons. It was the delicious scent of grilled burgers wafting through the air that pulled us in. The menu is pretty simple including salads, sandwiches and burgers. For $1.50 more you can get a drink and fries. It's not on the menu but you can swap your fries for curly seasoned fries, sweet potato waffle fries or even onion rings. I got the cheese burger and curly fries. Everything hit the spot...portions were substantial and everything tasted great. The gentleman who took our order was extremely friendly and even checked in with us at the end to ensure we enjoyed our meal. Definitely a solid spot for food. read more

I visit Page, AZ somewhat often since I have family that lives there. Friday late morning my wife and friends went to have a late breakfast and I came to Slackers to have a early lunch. I honestly thought it was a sports bar but its not. Kinda fast food in a way, stand in line order your chow and wait a few minutes. They sell bottled beer and wine, which I was hoping they had draft and a Bar to sit at.. Which they didn't. It all booths inside. I got a bacon cheeseburger and mozzarella Sticks because... well I wasn't following my diet. It only took a few minutes to get the food and the sticks were bomb, but the burger was underseasoned and just overall kind of bland. It left me feeling one thought "I've had better".. read more

We ate here a couple of times in 2020 and food/service was good. Today service was horrible and food mediocre and over priced...4.75 for a small handful of fries. We won't be back...rather go to the brewery. read more

Odd ambiance in ice cream shop- the Open sign was off (but the hours said they were open) and we had to go seek out an employee to scoop ice cream for us. One of the ice cream coolers was broken, so we only had 6 or 8 ice creams to choose from, a few of which they were out of. We ended up getting superman and huckleberry ice cream- not too bad. Ok so yes it's in an older strip mall so you might miss it but my burger was fantastic and the fries were great. My husband and I were both happy with our meals. While visiting the area, we asked the locals for recommendation and every one of them included this hamburger joint. So as our last meal, we stopped over for lunch. I had the pastrami burger and my wife had the chili burger. Yum! Fresh lettuce, soft burger buns, both burgers were perfect! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. The burger was sizable and I have a healthy appetite. They cooked the patty perfectly to my request of medium well and the veggies were fresh and juicy. Probably the best burger you'll get in town at a decent price! I've heard the new establishment Grand Canyon Brewery serves burgers around $20 but their burgers aren't anything close to Slackers! Their burgers are also the same price as RD's, but RD's burgers doesn't match the quality and service you receive at Slackers. Slackers has nice cold beer as well! The only downside, according to my wife, is that they changed their fries. I don't know honestly. The fries never mattered to me too much. Get a great burger at a good price! Don't go to GCBC. Were always in search of a great burger. We stopped in after a tour in Antelope Canyon - fantastic grub ! The burgers were a great size and stacked with all the toppings you can ask for. Great sandwiches and beer located in Page! . We were not disappointed at all. The hot pastrami sandwich was absolutely delicious, and my Wife's Turkey was delicious too. . this review was earned for one particular reason and that would be whichever young girl was bagging orders at around 5-5:30 pm on June 2nd We have been on the road already for 4 hours with 6 more ahead, looking forward to a good meal to get back on the road with. First after 15 plus minutes of waiting for two burgers and two orders of fries, we asked politely about how much time the wait would be. I just so happened to be staring at this girl from across the restraunt afterward as she leaned over to her other coworker and immediately looked super annoyed and began complained about how many orders they had, how they all had sides, essentially a how dare we ask kind of situation. once we got up there the attitude was all over her face and the annoyance was obvious. the customer service industry isn't fun, but the number one rule is to be empathetic to your customers who come to your place of business to spend money on relief from not only hunger but their days, especially at a road stop town like page where people are on long journeys. maybe don't hire egotistical teenagers if you can. and if that's impossible, wait until customers are gone before you talk trash! no hate to the cooks tho bc the bacon burger was fire read more

I don't expect much from the food in a small town but a good burger should be something you should be able to find there. Slackers was pretty horrible. Not sure if the burger patties are frozen costco ones or if they just overcook them so much that they taste like cheap patties. I ordered a bacon cheese mushroom burger with no onions. I got a bacon cheese burger with onions. It was gross. The burger was so overcooked I couldn't eat it. The cheese wasn't even melted but then again since it wasn't really cheese more like a "cheese product" I shouldn't be surprised. The French Spouse got a grilled cheese sandwich which was two slices of processed cheese on hamburger buns. She also got a side salad which at least was a good size and didn't make her sick. It took a long time to get the food and we had to listen to a racist in the booth behind us talk about how most black women have AIDS and other racist crap. Avoid this place. We stopped here before a tour we were going on because it was right across the street. And Slackers was only okay. The burgers and sandwiches were just all right, but a little over priced. The prices look okay until you see how much you have to pay to add on fries and a drink (sandwich was $5.25, then fries and a drink was $4.25 more.) OH, and you have to pay more if you want toppings. Our hotel clerk recommended slackers as her favorite place in town, and we were very happy with our decision to follow her suggestion. She recommended their burgers and combination of fries & onion rings. It is very informal-order at the counter and they bring it out to you. They were fast and delicious! Our only 'complaint' was we would have preferred the burgers were a little more well done, but they have a sign that says they cook burgers to medium rare and we forgot to order them med. well, so our own fault, and they were SO tasty! They also have beers, but I'm not sure about wine, wasn't ordering that! Good food, fast and not going to break the bank! read more

This place is a little hidden in a strip mall, but the food was really really good. You go up to the counter and order and they bring you the food. Very casual, but the food was fantastic. I ordered a pastrami burger and fries combo. (I added jalapenos) The burger was very large, cooked perfectly, and had tasty pastrami on top. It also had grilled onions and provolone and was very juicy and fresh. The fries were kind of average, but the burger made up for that. The price was average for the town and I'll go back again for sure. read more
