They must have been burnt so many times that they have every safe guard set to protect themselves. The young lady working the day I went to pick up my items was very to the point. I didn't sell any of my items in 3 months which was fine (18 out of 20 items were clothing items new with tags). I was in there for about an hour an a half looking for my unsold items after the consignment period ended. I found 19 out of 20. I gave up on the last item. I was still planning to try to sell another group/type of items. However, after going to retrieve my unsold items, and feeling unvalued as a consignee, I have decided not to sell there again.

I was in Frederick for work and it was the Saturday before mothers day. Being the fairly typical…read moremale I waited until the last minute. I saw there was a Francescas in the center across from the office I was working at that day. I knew my wife loved the company so I stopped there. Unfortunately they were not opened yet. As I was walking away the manager opened the door and asked if I wanted to come in. She stated she was done with her opening work and saw me looking in the window and then walking away. I thought perhaps she saw sucker written across my forehead and I would be given the sales pitch of all sales pitches. But that was not the case at all. Quite the opposite. The manager asked if I knew what I was looking for and I of course had no idea. I just mentioned that my wife loved Francescas and I had never been to one. I said "I guess a gift card isn't a good idea is it?" She laughed and gave me a few ideas. I found several things and asked her opinion. She was able to coordinate similar but different items and everything came together. She definitely has the knowledge of her product and has an eye for making "things" work together. I couldn't have figured it out. Besides being very helpful with the selection of items and opening up the store early she wrapped the items up in a gift bag for me. The gifts were a home run with the wife. I really thought I was going to be hounded the entire time I was there since I was the only one there and she opened early for me. That was just not the case. She left me to shop and helped me when asked. I honestly left there feeling that I would have received the same treatment whether I was the first and only customer or one of many. It is a rarity in the world of sales to find the right atmosphere where you don't feel pressure to buy and yet get treated as if you bought the entire store. Because of this, I will only shop at Francescas when I'm in the area. Which is often.

Although I cannot yet review the selling part of this business, I did go and check out the store in…read moresearch of my 8yr and 14 yr old daughters summer clothes. The location was very easy to find, a bit off the beaten path, but such a pretty drive. It is located in a converted house, so make sure you are aware that it is not a store front. First off, they put a rack right outside with great summer options! I had a handful of items before I even went inside! Upon entering, the very nice cashier greeted me and asked if this was my first time here. Since it was, she immediately got up to show me around! Nice touch. On the first floor they have maternity and LOTS of baby clothes/toys/books/baby gear. Before heading upstairs, they have some junior sized dresses, both formalwear as well as regular summer dresses. Upstairs, they have everything else. Boys clothes/shoes (toddler to teens) as well as a huge section for the girls, again from toddler to teen sizes. The shoe selection could have been better, but that's ok. All the clothes were in great condition, great name brands. I always like finding Justice brands, as I never shop in the store because of their outrageous prices. So finding items for a few bucks including some shoes (found a pair of sandals for $7, I know they cost about $30 in the store) was a great find! For my teenager, they had LOTS of shorts, I'll have to go back to have her pick out more, before it gets hotter and they all fly off the shelves. When I was done (believe me, I had to control myself from grabbing more), I got two bags full of stuff and only spent $100! I couldn't have walked out of Justice with two outfits for $100, so this was a huge win for me! So if you like great clothes for a bargain, go check this place out. You won't regret it. Make sure you ask for coupons, I got a 20% off coupon for my next visit, which I will be using to buy my daughter a formal dress for the 8th grade dance. Also, they are having a $50 gift card giveaway for referring a friend.

I came into Yaneth Reyes Jewelry after inquiring "on the corner" about fixing an old setting. I felt I was given a very fair price in a very welcoming environment. I appreciated the advice given which confirmed what I had learned from several other jewelers around the greater DC area. After placing the repair order, I casually inquired about resetting the stone instead of repairing the ring, and they were informative and helpful providing several options and estimates without any pressure at all. The design estimate was also very fair. I have never designed a piece of jewelry before and was nervous, but after deciding to reset instead of repair, I felt the entire transaction from inquiry to design to delivery was a joint collaboration between myself and the owner-designers to create a piece perfect for me. I am very satisfied with the quality and workmanship and have had many compliments about my new piece. In addition, they stand behind their work and offer aftercare for their customers' pieces. Highly recommend this jeweler for small repairs, complex designs or just to pick up something sparkly. Be sure to add this shop to your next Frederick visit or downtown stroll. They are located between Starbucks and Brewers Alley and kinda across Market Street from The Tasting Room and Firestone's restaurants. You can't miss their beautiful display window. Formerly a bank from the 1800's, the well lit space is inspiring and fun to browse.
