My waitress was so thoughtful to offer a tasting sample of their chili - yes please! These slightly smaller than a regular hotdog were serve on a warm, soft bun, smothered in their Skyline chili, topped with diced onion and fine shredded cheese. I just blew my diet! Their fries arrived piping hot, too! My Ohio native, future daughter-in-law has touted this restaurant as a must try and has described their no beans chili as having a hint of cinnamon. I was actually surprised to taste a hint of clove, and possibly allspice, too. The restaurant was hopping with a lunchtime crowd. Very good and super fast!! We never had this style of food and the waitress (she was fabulous!) brought a sample so we could make sure it was okay before we ordered. That is fabulous customer service! Hubby grew up on their food so it was old home week for him. He said the food was just as great as it had been when he lived here. This style of chili is very different than Texas chili. It is super flavorful with spices, but not spicy hot. They absolutely made this "mouse" a very happy girl with how they piled on the cheese! This store is kind of new'ish and have been here a few times. Folks working here are usually super nice and attentive. It's Skyline, it's clean, nice people and it's one of the roomiest ones I've been to and I've been to a bunch of them. I decided to change things up and ordered the coney bowl for lunch and it was delicious. Usually a couple coneys(everything) kind of fella. I'm light of the exorbitant price of fast food, the last thing you should have to deal with is an incomplete drive-thru order. On November 17th, at approximately 6:15pm I requested heavy onions with some extra container of onions. My mistake was not checking the order before I left. Stopped in 01/01/2020 about 17:45. They were very busy so I chose to sit at the counter. Barely had a chance to look at the menu before the server came over and asked "have you decided what you'd like?" I was still deciding, so she took my drink order, and by the time she came back, I'd decided. Ordered the chili 5-way w/ no cheese. It was very good but, a bit too mild for me. Four of us came into Skyline on a Sunday afternoon and, despite being busy, were quickly seated. Service was friendly and fast, no complaint. The environment was clean and comfortable. I ordered 2 black bean and rice chilitos with extreme habanero cheese from the vegetarian menu. Oh my goodness! They were delicious. I could've eaten at least 3 more. I'll definitely try another vegetarian option during our next visit. Skyline Chili grocery items are available for purchase at some Krofer and Walmart locations. (Check online for stores near you.) Dinner. Rush hour. Close to Christmas and the Outlet mall is just behind this location. I thought I was crazy, but I decided to go inside. The restaurant was fairly full, but I was greeted promptly by a couple of employees. As I sat down, my server came to the table immediately, bringing the oyster crackers and my silverware. She politely asked if I'd like to see a menu or if I knew what I was wanting. I ordered, and barely had a chance to check in when she arrived back with my drink. As she continued on to the next table in her section, the gentleman (who I watched prepare my meal) behind the counter left his station and brought my food to me. Most places would let the server know she had an order and leave it sit on the make table until she had a moment to pick it up. Not this guy - he said he "wanted to be sure I got it hot." An excellent 4-way dry, if I might add. As I was eating, my server asked me if everything was okay - I told her it was far better than "okay," it was fantastic. I was about 3/4 through the meal when a supervisor was making his way through the dining room - actually chatting with people instead of the obligatory "Everything OK" you get in so many other restaurants. The food was on point, the service was phenomenal, and the price wasn't all that bad, either. I try not to give 5 stars often, but I honestly can't think of anything I would have done differently. Stop number two on my Cincinnati chili taste tour. This was different than the others I tried. A lot more earthy and less sweet than the others. This wound up being my least favorite of the chilis I tried, but by no means was it bad. They had a special "extra spicy cheese blend" at the time but it didn't taste much different from regular cheese. Stick to the classic. Service was friendly and attentive, and had a much nicer interior than the Gold Star up the road. If you're looking to have a more relaxed meal with your family this is a better choice. read more

I've never had a Cincinnati chili I didn't like, but I worship Skyline and Blue Ash Chili over all the others, and actually prefer Blue Ash Chili over Skyline, I just have more locations of Skyline to go to than BAC. This Monroe location, however, has a habit of putting next to no chili on anything you order, and their prices are too high to be pulling that crap. I've only recently started going there as I work down the road from it now, and only one time out of 4 or 5 have I gotten a decent amount of chili. The large 3 ways I get have had, no exaggeration, about a table spoon's worth of chili on them. I tasted it when I ate it, but every other bite was spaghetti and cheese only. The coneys I get have so little chili on them the buns are dried out and hard by the time I get to eat them, and I don't even taste the chili on them, even though I do see that some was put on, seemingly spread on with a butter knife. This is not how you do Cincinnati chili, Skyline, and you know it. The only other location that habitually does that is the one on Bardes Road in Mason, which I won't go to again. They're probably owned by the same person. Otherwise, every other location is pretty much awesome with the food. read more

This is a brand new Skyline; the building is fresh and pleasant. The chili flavor is on point. The reason it loses a star is the chilitos. I love chilitos. After three trips to this location I ended up consistently going to the Cin-Day one instead even though it's further away because they did not make the chilitos a reasonable size even after I mentioned it a couple times. If I'm paying about $3 for a burrito, two of them needs to make up a reasonable meal. At almost all other locations the balance is struck nicely. Here, though, they are more like a long taquito. Those who get the "ways" seem to not be affected, though, so I'm not discouraging people altogether. read more

Every (not exaggerating-- all three or four times) time i've been here there were onions mixed in my cheese. Shit in a bowl- I walked into skyline and the staff was quick to help me right away. They were really friendly and clean inside. I had to get my meal to go as I work on an ambulance and couldn't stay. As I got back to my truck to try to eat my meal, I noticed that they just throw the cheese onions in bags in the bag and I had to put my 5 way together myself. Seriously?!? I have several problems with this. First of all, it sets off the complete balance of my bowl. Because they cram it full of food and didn't leave room for my onions and cheese I now have to be extra careful and make a crappy trough with my bag just so I don't get my food all over my uniform. Second, after my cheese was separated from my 5 way, it was not melted to my food and the cheese was falling off everywhere making my truck a mess. And third but probably not the last of my complaints, this makes the workers extremely lazy!!! What, you can't put cheese on top of my food?!? You just have to be so lazy that you a bag of cheese and throw it inside? What next, are they going to go to the workers houses and jack them off so they no longer have to do that?
