Tried the Chili Chillito. Good and less messy than a cheese Coney. Might become my go to on occasion. Still can't beat a 4 Way tho. Great Staff.

Newbie goody bag to go (free!)

I was in town on business and my client recommended this place as a place to grab a quick casual lunch. He was right - we were in and out in approximately 30 minutes. The place was unique and fun. They love newbies (as we were outed / announced) and gave us a verbal overview of menu, local favorites, etc. our waitress was upbeat, efficient and fun. She gave me a newbie goody bag to take home even! I had the recommended "3 way" which is spaghetti , chili and cheese. I ordered the regular size and it was a generous lunch portion. Prices are VERY reasonable. The food was so so. Nothing special about the chili which was surprising / disappointing. The pasta tasted like fast food pasta. All in all it was ok and fit the. I'll fit what we were looking for . My colleagues got the Coneys and liked them, maybe that's what I should have tried ....but same famous chili (with chocolate and cinnamon ). I just wish the chili wowed me a little more. I'm fine with fast food, In fact I love it. I wish I left saying to myself "I wish we had these in CT", but I didn't ! Overall , good value for money but food is so so, though fun.

Most excellent.

At last it's skyline time. Everyone there is super nice. I am vegetarian and I have options. This time I had a Greek side salad and a vegetarian 5 way. The salad has : lettuce Cucumber Onion Whole baby tomatoes Mild banana peppers Olives Garbanzo beans Feta cheese Greek dressing The vegetarian 5 way is comprised of : Spaghetti noodles Black and kidney beans Rice Onions Cheddar cheese Hot sauce on mine. Oysters crackers on the side. My carryout dinner was $9.49. Don't forget to have them Clip your cheesy rewards skyline chili card because every time you purchase a meal of $5 or more per visit you will receive your 11th $5.00 meal free.

Second and failed attempt to try and report this to their corporate office but would not send seems a little shady

God awful service, I had dinner there tonight and unfortunately this little child with such a nasty attitude named Payton was my server she paid absolutely no attention to my table had such a nasty attitude from the time she walked up until the time that unfortunately she was the one who would cash out my check jokingly I made the comment first days could be rough and with her attitude she rolled her eyes and I simply said the service was horrible she dropped my change in my hand and as I was walking out she said to her co-worker he is such a little b**** absolutely no reason why she should have ever cussed me or about me the sad thing was there was another I'm assuming manager at least that's what he said he was earlier in the evening standing there it didn't say anything this is extremely unacceptable. If you have such a nasty attitude you should never be in any type of customer service waitress anything type of job. I have reached out to Skyline corporate and of course their system is not taking my email but yet they're more than happy to take my email address for their newsletters email stuff very bad business.

Our Skyline Chili experience was good when we visited Dayton in December 2020. The three-way is our personal favorite for most everyone in our family. My youngest son does not like spagetti with his chili so he likes the Cheese Coney's. Our service at the drive through for a large order was fast friendly and reasonablly priced. We just wish that Skyline was in Minnesota.

Skyline is a must if you are in Ohio. Unless you grew up in Ohio or nearby you probably don't understand the joy of chili on spaghetti noodles with cheese. (3-way) It is amazing. Add to that the chili cheese coney (hot dog, mustard, chili, cheese and onions if you like them) and you have an awesome bite. I crave skyline having grown up here and am so glad they sell it at the grocery store, but it is not as good as the real deal. The food was good at this location, the service was so so. The waitress kept starting to walk away a couple of times while we were talking to her. (Hence the less than stellar review.) the bathroom could have also used a clean. We opted to get the 3-way, cheese coneys, Kids spaghetti (cheese on top of spaghetti noodles) and the black bean and rice bowl. Just a caution the rice is non-existent and is part of the "soup-like" mixture the black beans were. All in all the food was good and satisfied my craving.

Stopped by here with family while I was in Dayton and honestly, it was a little underwhelming after all the hype that I got from native Ohioans. The 5 Pillars: Food: When you sit down, they give you soup-crackers to snack on, which is a little strange seeing as people don't usually order any soup, but it's something to munch on I guess. I ordered the 4-Way, which is basically chili that comes with onions and beans, which you can taste barely any of because there is just wayyyyy too much cheese. And to be honest, it's not even good quality cheese. It's the kind of cheese that you get at the grocery store that is pre-shredded and in the plastic containers. At least get your own cheese and grind it. But it would not have helped the bland flavor profile of the chili. But bottom line is that it was way too much cheese. I would recommend using half of the cheese they give you, because you'll just feel sick after eating it. Service: The service was fine. The wait-staff is very friendly and is willing to help you out with accommodations for child-seating and suggestions from the menu. They are good about refilling water and making sure that everything is going well. Overall good service. Ambiance: When you walk in, it looks and feels like a higher end fast-food joint if there is such a thing. Mostly it's booths around the edges of the room as well as in the middle, where they placed partitions. There are tables for 4 where you can sit if you don't like booths. It was pretty quiet in there, and they have TV's that have the local baseball games going or ESPN. This place is good if you like a more quiet setting for fast food. Dine-in: The dining area is very spacious and the service is pretty good. It's probably better to sit down because it's pretty hard to eat spaghetti in the car. Carry-out: They have a drive-thru which seems underutilized to be honest. Overall: Like I said before, a little underwhelming. Way too much cheese, and cheap ingredients makes for a mediocre experience. Maybe if I actually take a trip to Cincinnati and get an authentic one, the chili might have more flavor, and I might change my mind.

Skyline Chili specializes in the famous Cincinnati chili. There are many hundreds of Skyline franchises spread throughout Ohio. Caution, these simple, carb rich lunches are addictive. Skyline offers chili three-way ( spaghetti, chili & Cheese), four way ( add onion) and five way (add onions and beans). The chili coney dogs are tasty. This place is simple. The place was busy with families with middle school children during the day and college age patrons late at night.

This is an example of a chili cheese sandwich with no onion. There is literally more mustard than chili.

Came here for one thing the Root beer & left with a Rootbeer and a float!…read more Loved the Rootbeer! To get the Rootbeer it toon about 5 minutes. They did mention if we got food it would take 45 minutes... which I was not willing to wait. However, it was packed, lots of people. As it was my first time I didn't not know you had to order in your car or eat at the "bar" on the stools to be served. Which was fine, I just didn't know before coming. It is a cash only so when you come make sure you have that or pay via Venmo. It look like a classic place that people bring their families too enjoy a beautiful day at! Will comeback to try the food another time.

The Root Beer Stande is out here being nasty to people asking simple questions about their "bucket"…read moresundaes and deleting comments when customers point out that they're overreacting and being rude. Their food isn't that good either. Way too large of a menu and only a couple of items that they make just okay. On my last visit, I ordered their noodles and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were dry and flavorless. I actually had to add some milk to them and doctor them up once I got home to even make them somewhat edible. The noodles were over salted. I have hyponatremia, so I add salt to EVERYTHING. I couldn't have added salt to these noodles if I wanted to. Oh, and my root beer float was only half full. It was a great place when I was a kid. It's a shame what the new owners have done to the place!

Wow! We got lucky at Lucky's. Visiting from California. Always looking for veggie options. How…read moreoften do you find a local bar, with 20 choices of draft beer, and vegan options? First. Our server, TAYLOR was the best. So friendly, patient, accommodating, and fun. She made our meal experience. The selection of beers is impressive, and Taylor helped my decision with giving me samples of beers. I went with the Imperial Head Hunter and was happy as can be with this IPA, The food? Incredible. We started with mozzarella sticks and faux chicken tenders as appetizers. Both were great. The mango habanero sauce is more sweet than spicy. But both the cheese and chicken tenders were wonderful. Our appetizer +, was the tequila vegan chili. We don't find veggie chili very often, but this was prepared with veggie chili, beans and soyrizo. It was wonderful. My wife chose the jackfruit Reuben sandwich. Those of us that are vegetarian, miss favorites like Reuben sandwiches. This jackfruit Reuben met the challenge. Delicious and plentiful. I had the Fierro burger with an impossible patty. Definitely not as spicy as I wanted, but delicious nonetheless. Lucky's was a fun place either way, great food, cold beer, lots of vegan options, and a friendly staff. Go there!

If I'm craving a hamburger, you can bet we are driving the 20 miles from Springboro to Lucky's!…read more Their Cobra Burger is the best burger in Dayton! It has a Thai-style Marinade, with Peanut Butter, Fresh Cilantro, Cucumbers, Pickled Carrots, Jalapeños, and Sriracha Sauce. I've had peanut butter on burgers elsewhere but those are just a gimmick and don't have thought behind them. Thai food often has peanuts, so this combination makes sense and is fantastic! The restaurant itself is a bit of a hole in the wall. Nothing fancy but they have a lot of interesting and yummy sounding dishes, with many vegetarian and vegan options. I'd love to try other items but just can't pull myself away from The Cobra. They also have a good beer selection and the servers are friendly. Food came out quickly and several people checked in on us to make sure everything was good.
