I went in for a regular pedicure today. It was $35. First time trying Sky Nails. Everything was fine. Toes turned out fine. They wrapped my legs in a hot towel and that was nice. The leg massage hurt a bit, rubbing right on the tibia was uncomfortable. They had a steady stream of customers, plus people coming into buy gift cards for Christmas. Got a gel polish application on my toes and I couldn't be happier with the results and the price I paid. It was $17 just for the gel application (no pedicure) and the quality is fantastic for the price I paid. There isn't a huge selection of colours, but it's decent enough that I think everyone will find something they like. The workers are very nice, and remembers customers. Also, they do their job fast and know what they're doing. I'm going to come back for sure and try a gel polish application because it's only $15 and I'm extremely happy with how my toes turned out !! Today I went into this salon to have one nail fixed. It took a few min to be acknowledged. Then they said they couldn't match color...not that they even tried. I then asked her to just paint my long coffin shaped middle finger...white... simple right? This so called nail tech that fixed this nail was terrible. Did not know what she was doing. Big lump in middle of nail from unevenly distributed product..white paint on cuticles..you name it. She asked if that's ok..of course I told her no, so she tried again. Made it worse. They work fast, the quality is excellent and the price is very reasonable. I have done liquid gel, powder gel, ombre and regular shellac for pedicure. Been here a couple of times now and I've always hoped for the best but it's just never consistent... Every single nail shape I have right now is different( attached some pictures, my thumbs are completely different shapes, middle fingers & pinkys are different lengths) ... Sometimes this place is ok but the times it is bad, it is really bad. Last time, they slapped a few extra charges on my gift certificate without telling me. These are charges like nail polish removal that, in all my years getting nails done, I have never had to pay for. One time, the lady wanted me to pay extra to file my nails even though I liked the length and shape. I didn't want them filed. But, because she was mad that I didn't want to pay, she cut them off. It was horrifying. Another time, they wanted me to have my tip ready before the service. Who does that? Another time, the smudged my nail polish and wouldn't fix it. I was embarrassed and didn't want to argue in front of all the patrons that listen in on these conversations so I went to the store to buy the same nail polish to fix it. read more

This place is a bit of a hidden gem in the Broadmoor Plaza, next to Starbucks. It's not a big place, so it could be easy to miss if you're not familiar with the area. However, this place is great! I tried the gel colour manicure for the first time, as it was recommended by a coworker, and the girl who did my nails was awesome! I prefer my nails on the short side, so she cut and filed them just the way I like it without hesitation. And for the price of $23 for a gel manicure, you can't beat it! Will definitely come back here again! They had customers constantly coming in when I was getting my nails done, so that's a good indicator that these guys know what they're doing. read more

HORRIBLE PLACE! They do not use the proper ways of removing your gel nail extensions. What she did was used a 'new' nail extension to pop it off of your nails. Never have I ever seen this being done at a salon before. I asked if she could used a use a filer to file them off and she said no need and continued to pop them out. This not only damaged my nailbed but also my nails are crazy short! SO AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN!!! read more

I have been coming here regularly for a few years now. Amazing staff - the ladies are outstanding at what they do. The place is clean and well kept (does not reek like chemicals as some other places). I get the pedicure usually and it's pure bliss - they are quick and good. Love that the place is open seven days/week which makes it super convenient for the clients. Decent place for the price point. I come quite regularly during the summer time. No appointments needed which I love and they are fast and usually do a good job. I usually get the gel/shellac manicure. It lasts for 2.5 weeks and depending on the staff, a few of them are very good. Cut your nails to the shape you want and pay attention to details. I've been coming here on and off since high school, I've tried a few other places which were comparable to Sky Nails. The staff is friendly and hardworking which is why I keep coming back. I also find their pedicure massages are the best! Though when you get manicure/pedicure at the same time make sure you pay attention to what they're doing. I'm not sure if it was an honest mistake or on purpose but last time I went my manicurist didn't give me a hand/arm massage! I didn't even realize until after, which was too bad. All in all, they do a good job. Prices are good and my pedicures and manicures last for quite a while after each visit, though I wouldn't say that they're amazing. read more

I went in for a pedicure and gel manicure on Monday. They were really busy and my technician kept stopping my treatment to set new walk in customers up-the whole experience was a rush job. Went to get acrylic nails for the first time at Sky Nails. The ladies don't really speak English. It turns out instead of acrylics they gave me gel extensions. They cut my cuticles. They gave me nail fungus. The nail fungus prescription cost $100, and I can't get my nails done again for at least 3 months. Really bad experience, and the nails were a little lopsided. They asked me how I wanted my nails, and I told them rounded but they just did them square. Really scary experience. Luckily nail fungus was all I got, their salon was really dirty. Yikes. The ladies just spoke to each other the whole time in their own language, no idea what they were saying. If you're thinking of going to this salon, please just read the bad reviews, they're all true. Go somewhere without bad reviews! Don't make the same mistake I did. Not worth it. If you have to travel a bit farther to get to a better salon, do it! Find somewhere worth it. Had my nails done as gel nail at a Japanese nail salon and needed them removed very last minute. Took skynails almost 2.5 hours, they left my nails in foil for about 40min and ended up using the filing machine to remove all the gel. My nails ended up very thin and they are all ruined. It's still chipping away after two weeks. They kept telling me that my gel nail is very hard to remove. They were very impatient and rough when removing my nails and were pulling my hand. I would've appreciate it if they just refused to remove it and tell me I need to go back to a Japanese salon. Never coming back. read more

I've gone to this place quite a few times. The only reason I go here is because it's walking distance from my house. They have good customer service to your face but talk so much sh*t in their language. I am not Vietnamese so I don't understand what they are exactly saying but I'm not stupid either. They talk about almost every customer that walks in usually with one of them making a comment followed by the others turning around to look and ending with all of them laughing. This happens EVERY TIME I go here. They have even talked about other customers to me on a few occasions and I don't think that's very professional. I think it's really rude to talk in your own language when others around you can't understand what your saying. Besides that I have been there on a few occasions when people have come in and complained about getting a foot fungus or complaining about some sort of infection. I've watched them cut a customers toe nail who came in and said she got her nails done a few days back and her big toe hurt and she wasn't sure if it was infected or the nail was just too long. So the person working there cut her toe nail for her and said she thinks it might be infected and she should see a doctor. After the customer left the girl took those now not sanitary nail clippers and put it in a basket with clean supplies. 10 min later a new customer came in and the girl grabbed that same basket with the dirty nail clipper and gave the poor girl a pedicure with it knowing she cut someone's nail who may have had a infection!!! No wonder people getting fungus problems here!? After that I have not gone back and never will. Not sanitary enough for me. Also your nail polish chips either the same night or the next day because they use a terrible top coat. I feel like they do that on purpose so you have to come back sooner to get your nails done.
