Such a great girls date idea! Oh man if you haven't gotten your nails DID with your girlfriend yet you're missing out. It's such a great treat for yourself as well as such a relaxing time to just chat and hangout. The staff are all very nice and the colour selection is endless. They also do a great job with colour french manicures which are so in at the moment , but anything that requires details they can do! The place is packed because its that good!! Make sure to book an appointment so you're not stuck waiting. (They time bookings very accurately!)

Yaletown Nail Spa is one of the salons I frequent whenever I need a last minute fill or new set. They're very accommodating; even if I call day of, they always try to squeeze me in. Price point here is very reasonable for the Yaletown area and that's what keeps me coming back. The quality of the manicure is dependent on who you happen to get that day - I'd recommend Li if you can request her as she seems to be the most meticulous with the shaping. However, service can be rather brusque. Yaletown Nail Spa is definitely not a place you go for a relaxing, pampering experience. I've also gotten cut while having my nails shaped a few times, but they're always very apologetic and offer me a discount. This is definitely a place where you get in and get out, but when I'm in a time crunch, because of their proximity to where I live, I know I'll always come here.

This is my go to nail salon in the city!! They do such an amazing job every time. I've never had a nail break either!

The staff was nice, but they were really busy and looked annoyed that i didn't want shellac or gels. I got a regular acrylic set. My nails looked just ok.... Not great. Especially up close (see the picture). My nails weren't fully dry when they asked me to pay, but they needed my table... hence the gash on one nail. The others are just the way she left them. Edit: One nail broke on day 2 and another was lifting. Went back and not only did they fix the broken one but all the others too. They looked better but not great and it wasn't long before they started to come up again.

After a disastrous time at another nail place (see preceding review) I had cracked 3 nails in under a week-breaking 2 right off. I don't know why I had never come across this place before - I sure wish I had! I guess it's because I don't normally go that far south on Hamilton Street. A girl who was working at Victoria Secret actually was the one who told me about it. The Sunday hours said closed at 6, but I was able to call in at 5 and still book a time to come in. The salon itself has to be the nicest one I have been to so far in Vancouver. It's tastefully decorated and everything matched. The person who did my nails name is Steven. I am hoping he will be my new go to nail guy. He repaired and matched up my nails so well and rather quickly. Hr was professional and polite. The girls I met working there were friendly and smiling And showed me the selection of nail art bows to chose from for next time. They were playing music videos on The TV which helped pass the time. Price of 3 nails repaired, French with gel polish and a touch of nail art to match the others ? Only 18.90 including tax . I have him 25.$ and walked out very happy. I would give 5 stars, but I will see how they do when I return for a fill or full set and pedicure, I would much rather update and add a star - then have to take one away so today I give a 4,5 /5 Thank You Steven! You Did an excellent Job!

Very lovely space in Yaletown - warm and inviting!

Really enjoyed my first visit to yaletown. Although didn't get the best reviews on yelp, Google gave it high points so we decided to drop in for a pre-holiday treat! Nice background music, had a cup of green tea and giggled thru our pedicures with staff. Toes look great and we've been given a lot of time in the chairs for our toes to dry. Will definitely be back!

I'm in love with this place! I went on a random whim and I fell in love on day 1. Have gone back twice since. Coming from someone who is insanely picky, that says so much. They do a perfect job (I could not find one flaw if I tried), and they do it so quickly. I was amazed to get out within 30 minutes for a shellac polish change. My experience in the past has almost always been at least 50 minutes. I never write reviews but I felt like I had to as a big thank you to this nail salon. Much much love x

After my first visit which was very positive, I returned 4 more times (because of location convenience) but now have decided to move onto another nail salon. This place truly lacks consistency across the board: 1) Price: It always is a little different and can never figure out how they figure out the total sum when I compare it to their service price list. 2) Service: Only once did I get a hand and arm massage, and other times I just watched the people next to me get a massage for the same kind of nail set. 3) Quality of work: I have had Gigi, Anna and Lily and the application is never perfect. Uneven layers, blobby work and jagged edges even with cuticles taken care of beforehand (once was cut twice and bleeding). Lifting and cracking afterwards within and after the 5 day warranty period. Nail shaping also a hit and miss, once finished with slanted nails in the end. Also don't like how they file my nails without pushing my skin down cus my skin also gets filed. Polish removal a little aggressive with not a lot of time to soak off the polish and during my last visit, there was residual polish present when the new polish was applied. My nails have now become very weak and thin so now I am in nail rehab.

Just did a gel removal. The woman I had was kind of pushy about coming back and why I hadn't been before (couldn't find their pricing anywhere). She also was a bit pushy about extra services that would cost more which I wasn't interested in. She backed off when I gave a firm no. I'd say just be clear about what you want but she did a great job!

If you want your nails fucked up then go here! I asked for ACRYLIC French tips and she tried to give me gel. By the time I realized that she was giving me gel she was like "oh it's too late to fix it". So I was like fine just do pink. I had to tell her to do another coat because the first coat she did was so lumpy and she only did one coat, then when she was putting on the jewels she couldn't even do a simple pattern. I had to put The jewels on myself and while I was doing it she was LAUGHING at me. I don't understand what's so funny? Is it really funny that I have to do your job for you? Also if you look at my nails you can see that none of them are the same length and the filing job is shit!!! Also this is THE THIRD TIME IVE UPDATED MY REVIEW FOR THEM. Please don't ask why I keep going back, I'm obviously an idiot.

My go to nail salon ‍I've only tried their manicure and full sets services and so far i've been content with their work everytime. The nail technicians I get always know what i want and always does the perfect shape, length, and colour/design for my nails. The cons are just that you can get nail services elsewhere for cheaper, however the quality here is still worth it. I don't know if this is just me, but last time I got my nails done, the gel on my finger got too too hot too fast when it was under the uv light despite having it under for less than 5 seconds. Not really sure if that's normal, but i almost couldn't handle the heat on my nail bed. Everyone's experience will be different from eachother and this was mine. 4/5

I have been to YT Nails Spa about 10 times now, I have always had hit and miss experiences. I go back each time hoping that I will get a good experience. The one good thing I will say about this place is that the employees are really efficient. With that being said- since they are so fast, they often cut corners which makes a less than desirable nail! I was okay with the person digging into my cuticle when I was bleeding, but when my nails start chipping and peeling 24 hours in- I am not happy. I will not be coming back.

RE: PURE NAIL BAR (Main Street location)…read more I don't like leaving negative reviews, but here we are. I booked a manicure a couple of hours before an event I was attending in the evening. Nothing fancy, just a standard straightforward manicure. I noticed the woman wasn't cleaning up the skin around my nails at all and I kept asking her to do it and she kept saying she would. Then suddenly she splashes oil on top of my nails, leaving my hands oily and messy, and that was it. I then asked her to clean around my nails and clean the mess under my nails from filing and she did, but she did a poor job. I had to get to my event so I just left. I showed my friends to make sure I wasn't being overly picky and they all agreed it was a horrible job. I went in today to see what they could do. The same woman was there and there was no apology; she was actually acting very put out by the whole thing. She "tried" to fix it but it was still bad. The lighting they have is terrible and they can't actually see what they're doing, but when you move your hands into natural light, you can see everything. I will never go back. And I highly suggest that you don't go there either.

And by found, I mean we googled "nail salons near me within walking distance" called a few places (no availability). Then called Poised and they could get us in right away. Funny story....on our walking trip of the city we had literally just passed them about 15 minutes prior to calling, and absolutely didn't see them... haha. Luckily it wasn't a far walk back. It was serendipitous that they could get us in. Anh did my mani/pedi combo. Christina did my fiancé's. Both ladies did an excellent job. I didn't get polish (time restraints and I was wearing shoes and socks so I didn't have time to sit and wait for them to dry) I'm not used to bare toes. Anh took some extra time buffing my nails to give them a nice shine. So did Christina for my fiancé. Anh shaped my nails on my hands perfectly. We were extremely happy with the massage process from both of them. Someone was always cleaning and straightening up. It's a nice little salon tucked away between some rather large building entrances. If you live local give it a try. I was first introduced to this hotel chain over decade ago and the touches of it's signature hotel fragrance and linen is unparalleled. Pros I knew it was a beautiful intimate private space. Super relaxing city escape. Most importantly they do a beautiful job on your nails! Other places can do a really sloppy job, but this was not the case at all with SPAradise. I gave them a try over the weekend for a Bridal thing, and everything went great, with all five girls in our party coming out happy and satisfied with prettily painted fingers and toes. The nail technicians were also very patient as we had a sweet 2 year old running around everywhere and the SPAradise girls gave hand and feet emery board keepsakes to everyone in our party. They bring everything to you and you don't have to do a thing. A few things to improve: 1) More nail polish selections would be nice. Though they get points for having the newest season of Opi colours, more nail polish selections would be nice. 2) Use of some kind of pumice stone would be nice. At the actual salons more time is spent on grooming the entire foot (dry, rough heels for example) and not just the nails. 3) More reasonable prices. I understand that you pay a bit more ($60 for the Express Mani/Pedi)) for the convenience of having the spa come to your house, but with all the competitive spa prices out there, it's really hard to justify using a mobile spa service all the time, and I really would like to use the services more than once a year when someone gets married. Overall, I think SPAradise does a great job and I would use them again in the future. If you're trying to think of a party idea for your next girl's night, then this might be it. What's better than Mani/Pedi services right in the comfort of your own home where you can watch cheesy girl flicks, eat and drink and gossip all while being pampered?

I don't want a $50+ wash, blow dry, manicure, tinting, massage, or any of that stuff. I want what remains of my hair to be cut. And I don't want the "stylist of the hour" at some of the cheapskate haircut shops out there. I keep going back to Royal Riviera because I always get a consistent, reasonably priced cut, interesting conversation, and friendly people. If you want the massage, wash and blow-dry, and lots of other bells and whistles they will do all that for you. Guys that are looking for a $25 cut that is consistently good, this might be a great choice for you. George has been cutting hair for as long as I've been alive, and has a client list that has included Tom Jones, Paul Anka, and even VICE President George Bush (the first one, not the moron). My stylist was Gabby. It was clear she took her work seriously and wasn't there to zip you in and out asap. She took her time when it came to the hair massage (best part of a cut), the cut itself, and the product styling. There wasn't much by way of conversation but I wasn't looking for that. Gabby was patient as I was bobbing my head in and out of consciousness - she moved my head slightly when she needed to. She played it safe, not cutting things too short that they would spike up and be uncontrollable (save for a hat), which was my preference anyway. I think my Asian hair gave her some challenges especially when it came to using the product to style my hair, but when I did it myself using my own product the next day, I could see that the cut was good. Nothing to rave about, but it wasn't the disasters that I've had so often in the past. It'd be unfair to compare the quality of the cut to the salons I've paid 40% more for, so I must say that the value is there. Gabby put in a ton of effort and it was appreciated, so I tipped generously. Definitely worth a second look. I'd say 3.5 stars but I'll round up.
