THIS REVIEW FOR NATURAL BLONDES…read more For the non-blondes: It's hard to be a blonde. We have light hair. Light features. And our brows? Well, they tend to be... non-existent. My entire life has been a brow struggle. I could write an essay on that alone. I'm going to be honest. I won't be back for brows. I don't know if they just didn't have a range of tints to choose from, but she chose the darkest brown for my brows and told me to scrub them if they were too dark for me. It's not about even the skin tint, the hair colour is wrong. Yes, they were less bold, but the hairs are still nearly black. At other places, they've used a light brown which of course works better with my generally fair features. Do I have to come back more frequently? Yes, but that's also part of being a natural blonde. The shaping and wax was pretty wrong too. I know it's a challenge. They are blonde and I didn't give you how they normally look... but I was also looking to work with my brow shape thinking the microneedling experience would give you a reasonable idea on how to map them, etc... which is why I grew them out. I will certainly have to grow them back out over the next two months since the top-front of my brow was waxed away to a.. weird point? Having said that - they seem to have a lot of interesting services that I would like to try there - hydrofacial, microneedling... all of that. It was clean, quiet, and she worked dilligently and kindly. Parking is easy. I don't really hold it against the spa... very few people get this one right. It's been a struggle for many years. I'll come back and update my review on other services.

Lots of privacy for each client with subtle curtain placement and many rooms. The staff who provide the services are experienced, professional, yet friendly. They do a thorough job (no spots missed when waxing) and will even let you know what treatments might help with your aesthetic routine. They are to the point, which is not very "Canadian," but they are not rude. I appreciate the honesty, because who wants to leave a salon/spa not looking their best?! A good place to go for multiple treatments.

First experience having a facial and it was AMAZING!…read more The booking process was super easy, I messaged them on Instagram (I was referred by a friend), and I got an appointment within 2 weeks. I received a confirmation email, and a COVID-19 questionnaire via email as well. Lots of parking too, it's located in a little plaza in Richmond. I didn't know what to expect since it was my very first time getting a facial, and I was immediately impressed by the interior/decor at the front desk reception area when I walked in. It's very modern/earthy/chic (eg. white walls, natural plants)- and definitely feels very calming and relaxing. I booked my appointment with Lisa Liang for a La Cachette Signature Facial, and she was very sweet and patient as she walked me through what to expect. Bonus: The washroom are gorgeously decorated as well, and very very clean. The facial lasts a full 1 hour and 15mins or so. The rooms have soft ambient music playing, and the heavy sheets are super super comfortable - you could easily take a nap! I'm not well versed in their products, but various cleansers, exfoliant and peels are gently massaged into my face. Mines ended with a cold jelly mask thing. They use a lot of G.M. Collin skincare products (I also got 2 samples on my way out). My favourite part was starting and ending with a deep breathing exercise with essential oils, and also a little face/head massage at the end. The La Cachette Signature Facial regular price is $135, but I went for a limited time 50% off promo. Overall, it was a very pleasant & relaxing experience. Service was great, and the place was very clean. Highly recommend this place (and Lisa of course!).

The owner is this beautiful lady and she was the perfect person to see for my injections since I was getting them in my jaw line to reduce jaw clenching pain and to thin out the jaw line. She really knew what she was doing. Her assistant was the sweetest guy ever and we laughed a lot. 2 weeks later, my jaw is no longer in excruciating pain and my face is looking more thin.
