THIS REVIEW FOR NATURAL BLONDES. For the non-blondes: It's hard to be a blonde. We have light hair. Light features. And our brows? Well, they tend to be... non-existent. My entire life has been a brow struggle. I could write an essay on that alone. I'm going to be honest. I won't be back for brows. I don't know if they just didn't have a range of tints to choose from, but she chose the darkest brown for my brows and told me to scrub them if they were too dark for me. It's not about even the skin tint, the hair colour is wrong. Yes, they were less bold, but the hairs are still nearly black. At other places, they've used a light brown which of course works better with my generally fair features. Do I have to come back more frequently? Yes, but that's also part of being a natural blonde. The shaping and wax was pretty wrong too. I know it's a challenge. They are blonde and I didn't give you how they normally look... but I was also looking to work with my brow shape thinking the microneedling experience would give you a reasonable idea on how to map them, etc... which is why I grew them out. I will certainly have to grow them back out over the next two months since the top-front of my brow was waxed away to a.. weird point? Having said that - they seem to have a lot of interesting services that I would like to try there - hydrofacial, microneedling... all of that. It was clean, quiet, and she worked dilligently and kindly. Parking is easy. I don't really hold it against the spa... very few people get this one right. It's been a struggle for many years. I'll come back and update my review on other services. read more

Kenza Day Spa - :'( - Day Spas Near Me - Delta, British Columbia

Kenza Day spa offers a large variety of beauty services. I'm so glad to have came across this local small business! Not only are they attentive and professional, they also go above and beyond to ensure that I'm satisfied with the results. Needless to say, I've recommended Kenza to my close friends and family since then. I'm particularly impressed by their outstanding services and affordability. I absolutely look forward to my next visit. read more

This is the best little spa in Surrey! Seriously, it's gorgeous from the inside, although it is small - and the estheticians are so friendly and make you feel right at home. They have quite a few products and services to choose from despite being so small. And everything is reasonably priced. The waxing services start at $8 and go up to $150, while the mani/pedi services start at $15. They also have a variety of spa packages to choose from including seasonal specials especially around Mother's Day. read more

Najwa is the queen of eyebrows in North Delta and is so dedicated to making her customers happy. She genuinely cares about her clients and that people leave feeling better than when they arrived. She always makes that happen! read more

The owner, doubles as the aesthetician..bad idea. I came for the special hydration facial and found it nothing but uncomfortable. After being blasted with a water device she proceeded to scrape my face with what felt like a sandpaper sheet. I was tense and she kept saying if I want a different facial ( meaning relaxing) I should have booked the European Facial. She talked ALL the way through the procedure then to my utter shock and surprise, when done, sat me up; turned on the bright overhead lights and said "so how was it?" I asked for a minute to get my bearings before jumping up as I'd been laying flat for 50 mins. My shirt was wet and I was horrified by the whole procedure. Sadly, she doesn't understand the customer experience could be better if she allowed the client some quiet time before and after. I was left for 15 minutes with a mask on which was also applied to my eye lids and it was dripping into my eyes. Other high-end spas will sometimes massage your arms and hands while waiting under the mask. Instead I was left to listen to the next loud client arriving and greeting the owner. BTW, when arrived I politely asked if I could have a small rolled up towel for under my neck as I cannot lay completely flat. She answered by saying she might not be able to provide a proper facial if I wasn't laying flat. I will not go back. read more

The place is very small and stuffy, and the services are very mediocre. Nothing special about this place. I have been to much better spas in the area. I will not be a returning customer. read more

This is where I go whenever I need a little waxing, or alot of waxing for that matter. All the girls here are fabulous. The last person I had was Beverly, she did a full leg plus bikini and it was fast not totally painful and her ability to hold an engaging conversation really takes your mind off of having all your hairs ripped out. My mom only goes here as well. read more

I had shared my review on Facebook which conveniently Nadwa who performed my laser hair removal removed the reviews. She did a crappy job. She charged me 103 dollars plus which she only performed for ten minutes. When I did not give her a good review on Facebook she offered to give me a free treatment which I did not accept. She was not going to do it otherwise. It is supposed to be a minimum of 30 minutes and she sent me off in 10 minutes. Very rude and arrogant behavior. Total rip off. Please do not go there and waste your money. That woman is very money minded and she will make you come again and again so that she can make more money through you. I enquired with other hair salons in Surrey. They charge less , some of them charge the same but they all say they do it for no less than half hour sometimes it even takes 45 minutes to do the job thoroughly. Customers beware. Don't throw away your hard earned money by going for laser hair removal there. read more

There is nothing special about this place. I received a gift certificate for $115 and went to redeem it and the prices had all increased by about 15% in less than a year. For $115 I got a standard mani/pedi - it was on "special" for the month for $99. The decor was clean, the pedicurist was nice, but the place is over rated and over priced for the location that it is in. I could get the same mani/pedi elsewhere for $45. Homesense clearly did their decor and the receptionist wasn't even remotely warm or inviting, sign in, sit down, that was the attitude. The only reason this salon wins the best of, is because there is nothing else comparable and the neighbourhood it is in is predominately indian. Either save your money and go somewhere nicer like Spa Utopia or Absolute spa where there is a whole experience to enjoy for the same money, or go to a cheaper place. read more

I started going to Kenza Day Spa 15 years ago, and every time i come inside they give me the warm welcoming feeling and you can feel the coziness right away. They always make me feel as a VIP. I've never been disappointed even once and i always leave with a big smile and full satisfaction feeling from a very experienced and friendly staff and the accuracy of service they provide, especially the permanent makeup. I totally recommend this great spa. read more

This is a great place. The only thing that really upset me about this place is how they screw up appointments. I have been to this place more than once and they either wrote my appointment on the wrong day or put the wrong time. Because of that experience more than once I will never go to this place ever again and I will let all my friends know. read more

I went in for a pedicure. The young lady was really nice and did a good job despite a small cut on my skin she made by accident, she apologized. I went home and the next day my toe was inflamed. I called the spa and left a message on their answering machine to explain what happened as I was concerned about getting a disease from the tool they used and wanted to know what kind of disinfection solution they used for their tools. Nobody called me back. I called two days after that and the receptionist advise me that the manager will call me back. It's been three weeks now and I haven't received a phone call... read more

Michelle is amazing! I have extremely sensitive skin and hate to shave due to the irritation. I have had waxing services done at other places with less than amazing results. Michelle makes the experience very relaxing and much less painful than experiences elsewhere. Please please please let us know when she returns from leave. :) read more

This is a review of my experience here today and my past visits as well. There should be no star for the rating. I am so upset with the manicure that I got with this spa today. The manicure was very sloppy and the polish application is not even. She pushed the cuticles back which is good but the polish didn't even reach the cuticles. It looks very bad. Overall, it was a very bad job. They didn't even have one of those dryer things to make your manicure dry faster. And this is all for $50.00. Very expensive for a very bad job. I will never go back to this spa again. I never wanted to go to this spa in the first place. All I ever experience with this spa is just bad things. Yes, I have been here before. The only reason I came back here today is because I am really crunched for time and this is very close to my place. I don't recommend this spa to anyone at all. With regards to the atmosphere, it's not true that it is relaxing. This area is small, so you can hear all the chatter from the reception area even if you are in the rooms. I know because I have had massages done here before, like I said it's very close to my place. With regards to focusing on client needs, well,I bought a 130.00 - 150.00 gift certificate long time ago as a gift for my mom on Mother's Day. This was when they were still new. My mom forgot to use it and the certificate expired and they would not accept it anymore. They got the cash and we don't get the service. It's not like she was trying to use a gift cert from 10 years ago. At that time, the gift cert just expired. We don't care about the gift cert anymore, I just added it here because this is a review of my past experiences with this spa. Each time makes me regret that I went back. I don't recommend this spa at all. May I just add, I am not a novice when it comes to spas, I have been to many different spas all over the Lower Mainland and abroad. I will definitely share this on Facebook and Twitter. read more

I was a regular client at Kenza for the past few years, but I will not be returning. Over the years, I have had numerous treatments by Bev and always had great service, but the way in which the business is being run currently has turned me away. I booked an appointment with Bev and showed up to have someone else prepared to do my appointment. Now twice, I have booked appointments for my mother and she has run into problems. The first time she went to an appointment I scheduled with Bev, she got Anna. The waxing was not well done and the burn on her face took quite a while to heal with a prescription cream. Then I booked another appointment for my mother to go to Bev to have waxing done and Kenza called to confirm the appointment the day before. During this call they asked her to if she could change the time of her appointment and she said she could not. The following day, she shows up for her appointment and the spa is not open. She waited thinking they might be a little late, but no one showed. Later that day she arrived home to a message that they had a problem in the morning and could she come in later. I am sorry that after being a client at Kenza for years I am writing a negative review, but I need to let people know what is happening. I have recommended this place in the past, but I will let my friends know I am no longer a client and the reason why. read more
