I purchased a 100 units of dysport injections (basically Botox) from Breathe Spa. I had heard they had a good deal on dysport injections (same as Botox) so I called in and booked an appointment. directly. Could have been a one time deal, but maybe they still honour it, I'm not sure! I got in and the staff were so lovely. The spa is gorgeous... The owner is this beautiful lady and she was the perfect person to see for my injections since I was getting them in my jaw line to reduce jaw clenching pain and to thin out the jaw line. She really knew what she was doing. Her assistant was the sweetest guy ever and we laughed a lot. 2 weeks later, my jaw is no longer in excruciating pain and my face is looking more thin. Takes 3-6 weeks to experience the full effect. Would totally recommend this place for Dysport injections! read more

Lovely interior, clean, clutter free, spiritually lifting, soothing music, professional and compassionate human beings, and experts in this field. They have really thought about everything! I have been going here for over a year for facials and extractions, maintaining my skin every six to eight weeks, like going to the gym, to keep it healthy and properly cleaned. It is always a treat and I can RELAX because they know what they are ACTUALLY doing. Victoria is great. They are all great. I can't say enough good things about this place, you'll just have to try it out for yourself. This place is no longer a secret. For all of you out there who know what I'm talking about, you know how it feels when you can't even step outside your home because of your acne...yeup, been there...there goes my social life...I had issues with acne and the acne has improved with the extractions, proper care, and routine facials. Pro's + bed/lounge was extremely comfortable (best part of the whole experience) + given tea while in the darkened room + nice receptionist + felt clean + good hand soap & moisturizer in the bathroom + Borderline on how much they push their products Cons - could occasionally hear people in the hallway or by the kitchen/bathroom area - so many different treatments (cleanse, tone, mask, different mask, cleanse, acid like treatment...) it was to much for me and my skin - the massage part was lack luster actually just a waste time, I could do better - very expensive My skin just felt irritated after the treatment. I scheduled an appointment eight weeks ahead of time (because I booked for laser hair removal) and then they called me the day before my appointment, asking to reschedule my appointment. I had a chemical peel here off Groupon and the experience was not good. The chemical they used on my face burnt my nostrils so bad, it was so strong. After telling them I have sensitive skin and have only received mild peels in the past they reassured me it was not a strong one. The peel was also supposed to be left on and I had to wash it off hours later, which is odd to me as the others I have had in the past were only on my face for a few minutes. I ended up having a very bad reaction to it and when I contacted the spa about it they told me they would come up with a solution and call me back....they never did. I followed up with email twice and still no response. Definitely would not recommend this spa or go back. read more

The treatments were languid and unrushed, with meticulous attention detail and a sense of really caring that the client was getting the best experience possible. This place is ridiculous. We paid for a 90 min hot stone massage and were only attended to do an hour and 10 min. When asked what was happening they told us their spa policy is that the give u tea and make you sit for 10min before and 10min after the treatment. My masseuse barely spent 10 on my back. She took no notice of my pain points in the disclosure form and gave me an additional 5 min treatment time when I told her she barely attended to my back. She didn't really come across as a trained massage therapist. It was not a great experience all in all. Both my husband and I were quite confused by their strange timing and complete lack of technique. Would not recommend this place. Definitely not worth the money! read more

I made a reservation for three of us but ended up having to cancel because our schedule for the bridal party changed. Leon was so helpful when booking the appointment initially, and so kind when he confirmed the cancellation of my appointment. The one star is for the customer service. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to experience a service. I had the day off for my 30th bday and booked a signature facial for the occasion and planned the whole day around it. My fiancé bought the gift certificate around Christmas time and had a really difficult time doing so. It involved being called 4 / 5 times that one day to pay for the certificate because the receptionist didn't know what she was doing. Saying the booking was difficult is being optimistic. They are not open very often and they have a voicemail that tells you to let them know when and what service to book and they will get back to you.. I left my name, phone number, service wanted, day and time of wished appointment, more than a month in advance. Very straight forward. I got a voicemail back to call them back to book. Not useful. Try to call again, finally gets someone on the phone. After 3 times giving my name, spelling slowly and phonetically, the receptionist was not having it. My name is very easy to spell. She could not take my name down. I gave up after a few minutes and ended up asking for the email address. I then emailed on their two different email addresses to make sure I get at least one reply. I told my fiancé about it and he told me not to count on it as he tried to reach them two months prior and never got a reply back. I ended up reaching them on Facebook, explained the situation and got an email back - with no apology. Well at that point I am okay fine at least I got a booking. Now today is my birthday, day of the booking, planned the day around it. They called me an hour and a half prior to the appointment to cancel, stating that the spa was closed for the day. No apologies whatsoever, no reasons given, just giving me some options to rebook. Would not recommend. **update** The team manager of the spa gave me a call and offered me a service for the trouble caused which is appreciated. Service is booked next month and will base my review on the service then. ***update I give 5 stars for the facial and massage. My therapist was Katharine and she was knowledgeable, friendly, and I came home feeling very relaxed. On the downside I do found that odd that my appointment started at 12, but the spa only opens at 12, so by the time you get settle you start the service 10 min later. When I finished my services, I was directed to the front desk. There were a couple of staff members behind the counter and they could not find my gift certificate (including the manager). They also asked me how I was going to pay for my massage, which was quite awkward telling them that they actually offered it. They need to train their front desk staff. I will not return. read more

Maybe my expectations were too high, or maybe I just didn't get lucky with the lady who did my facial, but I'm disappointed to say this was a completely lackluster experience. After reading the great reviews I was excited to get the "signature facial", a 2-hour facial that also included a "face, neck, arm, hand and foot massage". This is actually my favorite part of facials (and I've had many)... laying there with a masque on my face and having my hands and feet massaged is the best feeling. Unfortunately, the hand and foot massage lasted a total of about 4 min altogether. After she tucked my arms and feet back into the blanket I thought "really? That's it? No that can't be it, she's probably going to come back to it and do it again". When she applied a masque on my face and told me she was going to leave it on for 10 minutes I thought "oh good, here we go with the rest of the massage". Nope. She actually LEFT ME IN THE ROOM by myself for 10 minutes instead. Who does that? Never in all the facials I've ever had has anyone left me in the room for that long. It was so strange. And this whole lure of the facial being "2 hours"' honestly, it wasn't like it was nonstop bliss for 2 hours. The lady just took a really long time doing everything, seemed like she was messing around not really knowing what she was doing, and then she took about 10-15 min at the end to push some products on me under the guise of a "skin consultation" telling me the products were "medical grade" and that the company only sold to their spa. Suuuuure ok. Lady, I know enough about facials and skin care products to know that's just pure nonsense. Very, very lackluster. I won't be going back. Pros? My boyfriend got the Palatial Package, which consists of facial and hot stone massage, as my birthday present for the both of us, and it was the best! Oh my god, the whole thing took almost 4 hours!! The memory foam bed was so comfy! My boyfriend totally loved it (but because I have back problems, lying down too long really tired me out). Stephanie did my massage and she was great, polite and very pleasant. The hot stone massage was nice but personally I still prefer Swedish massage. HOWEVER, the facial is a MUST do! It's their signature facial and my skin felt so soft and moist after! She did a really good job of cleansing and extracting and afterwards explaining the different products. I did not feel at all pressured to buy any products, which I really appreciate because I feel that always messes up the whole experience. I will be back! read more

This place is a hidden treasure in Vancouver. I totally lucked out and got Victoria, the owner, for my signature facial treatment. From the moment you walk in - you are exported to a whole different level of zen. I've been to my fair share of spas in and around Vancouver - so I can say that! Victoria was so professional and really puts her all into her business and customers. The treatment room was spotless, the bed just gels to your body, on a cold rainy Vancouver evening - the room temperature was perfect. No complaints - extremely comfortable. Treatment itself was like no other facial I've ever had! I was more relaxed during this facial treatment than I have been in a full body massage. The facial itself made my skin feel incredible. The accompanying massage was just the right pressure and decadently relaxing. What more can I say? I was in a complete state of bliss by the end - they really should offer a "drive you home" service - b/c trust me you are an extremely happy bowl of jello by the end! Other brilliant touches: tea before and after treatment, head massage, complementary product sample to take home, eye brow clean-up, smart conversation that flowed naturally. read more

An absolutely amazing experience! The location is stunning: a one-time barber shop from the turn of the century complete with original marble and tile. High ceilings and away from the noisy street. The treatment rooms are spacious, calming, and pristine. The staff were all wonderful, extremely friendly and professional. Yuki gave me the Signature Facial and she was superb! The procedure was a full 2 hours of bliss including a lengthy foot, arm, hand, face, neck, shoulder, and scalp massage! The products used are high-quality, organic and smell fabulous. Well talk about a out of this world experience...wow!!! Love this place! I've had my fair share of spas but this one takes the cake! A small yet grand decor in this small spa that is sub ground which really keeps out the street noise. The room was dark with a huge bed in the middle..heaven! I had a lovely Irish girl who just moved here about a month ago! I soaked my feet for a bit and then got to lie down and the treatments began! I had everything from a pedicure, to a massage on my arms and legs (front and back!), and a lengthy facial...all thanks to my hubby as a bday gift. I think I was there for about 4 hours and felt like a jar of jelly afterwards. Victoria and her team are pros and love their jobs. In particular, I was so impressed with Victoria's passion, and detail... making sure I was comfy (hand feet and shoulder massage), talking to me about all my skin needs, explaining all the products, applications, etc... you know that Victoria knows her shit. The facial, touted as 2 hours, took more like 4 hours (a bonus IMHO). I went back a couple months later to pick up their serum: Vivier C E Peptides Anti Aging Serum and Victoria remembered me and was so accommodating and helpful. It does what is promised too: helps fade scars/ add moisture (ask for the water test where they show you how one drop clears up pollutants).... all in all, I like this place a lot but I wish I was richer so I could visit Breathe more often. This place would be a fantastic place to gift a facial to (hint nudge), or splurge out depending on ones socioeconomic status!! I've never experienced a hot stone massage before and I'm a fan indeed, it is so very relaxing and left me feeling pampered beyond belief. It was my first time going to breathe spa. I had decided to make an appointment for my birthday and am I ever glad I did!!! Coming from a skin care background, I am always picky about where I go for facials and what products people use. Kim did my facial and used physiodernie products. I was so impressed by the facial. My skin, which seemed a little dull looking at the time was transformed by the end of the appointment. The products she used are among the top of the line for skin care. I find very few spas use this line. Kim was gentle and very sweet and the staff were also very friendly. The spa was not hard to find at all! The interiors and furnishing was great and very clean. Was treated to a Classic Facial for my birthday today (thanks Hubby!) and had a wonderful experience. From start to finish it was approximately 1.5 hours. Along with the usual cleanse, exfoliate, steam, extraction, tone and moisturize routine; I was also given a wonderful lower leg, foot, shoulder, arm and hand massage. Victoria (the owner) did my treatment and she was excellent. She provided me with great information on how I can treat my problem areas (drink more water and wash my face before bed) as well as some supplements that I should be taking to assist with my dehydrated skin. The spa itself is very beautiful, clean and well appointed. The products she used were lovely and top quality. The receptionist was friendly when we arrived and overall the staff are very nice and welcoming (no snobby attitudes here). After my treatment, another staff member came and did a quick makeup application: mineral foundation, mascara and lip gloss. All free of charge and I left looking like a glowing goddess! I believe the facial cost $105 (not including taxes or tip) and I think I more than got my money's worth. Located conveniently downtown on Granville Street, across from Pacific Centre. read more

I wish that I could give this spa a 4.5. It is excellent, especially for facials. The spa is clean and the products used are fantastic. I also like that my treatment wasn't rushed and the staff are very professional. My facial was thorough and I felt leaving totally relaxed. I even received samples of the products used to try at home. My sensitive skin didn't break out at all, which is something that I often experience. My only issue with this spa is that it's below ground (no views!) and small. There are no amenities such as a steam room or sauna. That's the only downside though.
