I visited Tranquility Organic Spa after seeing that they had a spring special! I highly recommend their spring green tea mint detox special pedicure. My feet were soaked in a refreshing bowl of flowers and herbs, before a foot scrub using all-natural ingredients. I got the best pedicure with my colour of choice on my natural nails, and the special concluded with a luscious foot massage. I sat in the corner chair so I had the best views as well. Just the treat to end a hectic work week !

Best pedicure I've ever had. The ladies here are so sweet and the spa feels like a real retreat. I loved my gel pedicure (two weeks in and it still looks brand new). The massage during and at the end was extra nice, and something I've never experienced during a nail treatment before. Thank you Tranquility! I can't wait to return.

It really pains me to write this review because I really wanted to love this place after seeing such good review for the mani and pedi. After a long week of being in Vancouver for training I was really looking forward to spending my last night with some R and R. I booked the relax package - aroma facial and aroma massage. The ladies were extremely pleasant. I first had a quick underarm wax which was fine. Then massage. I have had many massages and this was by far the underwhelming massage. It felt like I was being massaged by a significant other with no experience. This was supposed to be aromatherapy but It was so weak that I smelled absolutely nothing the entire time. And to top it off her hands were really rough. After the massage, my facial started with the same lady. While this was my first facial, I came here thinking that the ingredients were organic and gently on my skin. She applied some cleanser and a quick scrub to my face then some sort of oil and proceeded to give me a really awkward massage that consisted of going from my forehead down to my chest over and over again for quite some time . It was bizarre and I asked her why she was doing this. During the mask portion nothing happened besides me laying there for 20 minutes. My skin didn't really look or feel very different after. Now that wasn't even the worst part. As others have pointed out it is on the second floor of a building. The room is open above and EXTREMELY bright. You can hear the patrons getting pedicures and it shares a wall with the hallways so you can very clearly hear all the noise from the building. Definitely not a relaxing spa experience. The worst part is that my legs and arms have broken out (bacterial folliculitis) due to whatever lotion they used on me (picture below). This cost me $150 USD so not a cheap experience to write off. I hate writing bad reviews but thought it was fair to give fair warning to potential patrons looking for a relaxing experience.

4 stars for Kia's service. 3.5 stars for the decor, place & the weirdness of the entrance, weaving thru the building itself to 2nd floor, hallway washrooms if these things matter to you lol. I prefer the own storefronts. Anyways, went for the quickie 30-min hydra clean facial, for $65 in Yaletown, as to be expected. Felt great with the heating machine to burn off bacteria. Supposingly this is their niche as ive never experienced this before. Kudos to Kia for adjusting the heat, a burning sensation as she rubs the metal piece over the whole face several times. Wasn't a full-on facial as no blackheads but definitely a deep-pore cleansing. Would've been nice to be offered tea/water.

This place is hidden on the second floor on Mainland street in Yaletown, across from The Keg. I've been here twice now, both times for pedicures - first time Lavender Milk and this time Chocolate Vanilla with callous treatment. It's a very quiet place for where it's at and you can people watch while getting pedicures. They definitely do really good pedicures here. Minus one star for not having a washroom within the spa, have to walk out into the hallway and turn. It's very clean. Prices are reasonable.

One thing I respect is they always give you your full time too, not like other places where you pay for a 60 minute massage but the first 10 minutes are them asking you questions or getting dressed and it's really only a 45 minute massage. No, they literally look at the clock once they start massaging and that's when your time starts. And everyone is great, I go to Hilary when I can, Miyako is great too, but honestly I've never had a bad massage there by anyone. The traditional thai massages are really nice, they give you clothing to wear and basically guide you into different stretches and push your body in ways that really stretch you out in the best way. Their aromatherapy massages are great too. If it's your first time I recommend the East to West as it includes a little bit of everything.

I have had many foot massages in my past but never at this place. I phoned and booked an appt. for 3pm - they quoted me $58 for 50 minutes for foot reflexology - good price. As I walked there, I live close by, I realized I was 15 minutes early 2:45--and that was when I was half a block away I saw my watch---they took me in set me up in the back area. It had a slight funky smell I couldn't quite place but comfortable recliner vinyl chairs with nice, dark lighting. They brought me black tea which I don't drink -- I said I'd do Green tea though? No, they don't have that and then they brought me water--water is good. I tell you all this because time is ticking by... I took off shoes and socks they brought foot bath as per norm had me turn around and move to the ottoman and the woman started to rub my shoulders--it was nice but I was there for my feet. Places often do this though to start as a complimentary service as your feet soak. That done, I moved back to the chair while she took the tub away I looked at my watch and it was 2:58 pm. She returned and thankfully moved onto my foot reflexology--it was a nice massage but not the best -- wasn't bad, kinda' just ok, but the woman was nice and friendly. Then very quickly it was over she got a hot towel to clean the oil off my feet and I looked at my watch and it was 3:34pm---whaaa? This was supposed to be a 50 minute massage for $58. So I said that it was not long enough--the very nice masseuse said 'oh the shoulder rub was part of it and the foot soak.' I noted I did not ask for a shoulder rub--I wanted a foot massage--she then had to talk with 'her boss' who proceeded to arrive and argue with me ruining any relaxation I had previously achieved saying basically -- 'too bad that was what they did there'. Now if I had wanted a combination massage I would have booked a combination massage, they have that available too for purchase---I wanted simply a 50 min foot massage--but now I just wanted to leave! What they should have done is just add another minimum 10 minutes as it was pretty obviously a lean service. I had said what time it was when the foot massage begun--not to mention what time I had actually arrived thru the front door---so it should have at least gone on for another 13 minutes. I had had enough arguing I put my shoes on as the 'boss' angily left the back area. I still gave my masseuse a $10 cash tip--was not her fault for the nastiness of her boss and their ridiculous policy. The nasty 'boss' was conveniently on the phone when I went up to pay. So I paid $60.90 (+$10 tip) for a nice but not great 36 minute foot massage--with a side helping of stress afterwards from the mean, non customer service friendly 'boss'. I wish I had asked if she was the owner? I write this to let others know what they may experience, and be forewarned of their practises as well as if this 'boss' does not own the establishment - the one who does own it knows what is actually going on there. I was the only customer there for the duration---which now makes a lot of sense.
