I had never experienced a yellow sand room before either, so that was something new for me. One thing I especially liked was the temperature of the heated rooms. They were hot enough that I definitely worked up a sweat, but not unbearably hot like some other spas I've visited. I could actually stay in them and enjoy the experience. I also had the Korean body treatment that included a salt scrub, oil massage, cucumber face mask and shampoo. It was very good and completely different from a typical spa treatment. One of my favourite parts was having buckets of very warm water poured over me--it felt wonderful. My only real complaint was the treatment table. Since there wasn't an opening for your face like on a regular massage table, I had to keep my neck turned to the side while lying face down, which I found uncomfortable. I realize this is a traditional Korean spa treatment, so it may simply be part of the experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would have liked a little more explanation during the treatment about what was being used, especially the different oils, but the person doing my treatment was very busy and there really wasn't time to ask. I guess this is the Korean way. I don't know but wanted the authentic experience. One other thing is that I they have you pay upfront. I paid, but I did not leave a tip. I told them I would do that at the end. Overall, I really enjoyed JJ Spa. If you're looking for luxury and fancy surroundings, this probably isn't the place. But if you want a good Korean spa experience with lots of different rooms and treatments at a reasonable price, I think it offers excellent value.

Receptionist was very friendly since I called them booking. The body scrubber, Cindy was awesome. I had basic scrub 30 min for $60. When the booking time comes, the scrubber came to hot tub area to call the TIME, not name. If she called your TIME, head to the bed. I was wearing swimsuits but over the curtain, Cindy asked me to change paper made panty. That was awkward experience but understand she scrub every inches. I think 30 min was good enough for it. Last 5 min, she gave me quick facial with lavender infused steamed towel and gel. And neck and shoulder massage. For spa corner, I would say the salt room is my favorite. After the scrub was done, I changed to provided lounge clothes and stayed in salt room for a while. Just lay down on the mat and let the body soak the minerals. It's bit lighting down and quiet room and perfect for napping. Slightly warm but not hot like sauna. About billing. The charge was $60 for scrub. $25 for spa facility. And paid some doller for scrub mitten that you can use next time. That was fine. When I checked in, they asked me to sign the waiver and pay. That was fine too. But tipping machine showed whole cost included price. I paid the tip against for only the scrub service. Tipping should be like that.

When she asked if the pressure was ok, I let her know she could go harder. Politely she said that was almost as much as she could go but I could tell she was really trying. Very kind of her. I first went here for a haircut Groupon and decided to try their eyelash extension services as well. I loved my haircut by Caitlin. I know I suck at describing what I want in a haircut, but Caitlin asked me questions all throughout the haircut to deliver me with the hairstyle I wanted exactly. The eyelash extensions were just as good as the ones at Wink. In fact, I think they are staying on for longer than the ones I got applied at Wink. It's been over a month now and I have yet to go for a refill. My 2nd visit was for a Day at the Spa package I got for my mommy for Mother's Day. (They routinely have specials on their facebook page so check often!) She got an in a flash facial, express mani, scalp massage, deep conditioning hair treatment, and style. I also added on a haircut for my mommy for $25. I gotta say this for In a Wink and Wink beauty lounge... they definitely excel at customer service. My mommy felt so pampered and I felt that the girls taking care of her that day treated her just as well as they would treat their own mommy. :) Needless to say, I'm impressed by all aspects of In a Wink. Oh, and they also have a pretty lil boutique at the front of the store selling cosmetics and jewelry.

I am happy to post a review about my experience at the Sabai Thai Spa, Port Coquitlam branch. I happen to drive by on a regular basis and out of curiosity, I stopped in two weeks ago to book an appointment for massage treatments. I was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming atmosphere and especially the treatment from their staff. I am especially encouraged to mention the treatment and expertise of Pooja, who provided excellent service and treatment which, left me feeling much better than any other massage therapist I booked before in other Spas. I just got other best massage and facial. My treatment called Pure Serenity package. Ashley was my therapist, she welcome me with warm smile. Then, she bring me to the treatment room, that simple, clean and relaxing music background. She begins with warm town on my feet, then, begin the massage and facial. My best friend treated me to the Flow & Glow package and it was wonderful! It was the first time I got to experience a Sabai Thai Spa. Natta was excellent and the ambience of the whole spa is very calming. A bit aggressive on the sales push for purchasing products at the end but it was Black Friday so I guess they thought it appropriate. My husband and I went in for a 90 min couples massage. I opted for the fusion massage and my husband got the flow massage. We both were incredibly happy with the service! They really think of everything - heated, comfortable beds, dim lighting, calming music. Both of our massage therapists were incredible, my husband even fell asleep at one point! Have experienced several massage sessions with Rupal. She is very knowledgable about the body and focusses on all tight areas for the full 90 minutes! She gives a very full deep tissue massage and tries her best to eliminate knots, of which I have plenty.
